Why would he???

Gun, you're adding WAY to much reality, facts and objectivity to this coversation...

They wore Maroon in the WOS game last yr.
-
Yup that's right, sorry.

One thing you have to keep in mind that you mention is that they play no one with the speed anywhere close to what Silsbee will bring to the table. They havent seen it and they cant duplicate it in practice. Silsbee just needs to.make every possession count and know they are going to score some, too. And when they do, not to panick. Get some stops and score when you do.

Yes, same guy. I saw where some folks werent sure about their history and semi final games with WOS. Wimberley also won state in 2005. That was the yr they beat WOS in the semis. They beat Coldspring in 2011 when they won it. WOS beat them in the semis in 2017.

That's a good way to summarize it, Griff. I watched the replay on TL last night just to hear Stelly's take on what happened. I just kept thinking "the miracle on I 10" is what I'm gonna call this. I remember sitting in the stands thinking the game was over going into the 4th, up 28-17 and Silsbee having to punt. What unfolded after, the plays Silsbee pulled off, are just unbelievable. The perfect passes thrown by kids who dont throw passes. The unlikely calls that went they're way and I'm still trying to figure out how Martin caught that 2 point conversion. Still hard to fathom that 4th qtr. Anyway, we got everyone back next year... this loss will burn through the offseason.

I have always thought that Taylor has that extra gear over the other two. No offense to them, they are good backs, but Taylor is the top.
-
There will always be detractors regardless of success and it's usually sour grapes over their kid not getting the PT they think he deserved or (better yet) the PT they thought they deserved 20 yrs ago.
-
I'd give the ball to Taylor 47 times, then run play action off of him the rest.

Yes it does... Our guys always want to pull out the history books. This was a great response. Bottom line is we dont get it done deep in the playoffs the last couple of years. Silsbee executed in the 4th period. We did not, that's the difference. I can tell you I've watched many of the Silsbee games on Hudl. This was, by far, their best performance. I hope they can continue to play at that level because that's what it's going to take. Good luck!

If the "unwanted" want to cause problems at a football game, I dont think driving an hr is going to stop them. JMO

If its WOS and Silsbee then this just makes no sense, again!

Yes, the pass has definitely opened up the offense. I saw some new wrinkles Friday, too. I like the direction they're going. We're going to be a tough out with that defense and the offense playing like they have. Kudos to the kids and coaches. The hard work is showing.
-
I counted one drop Friday. That's gotten better, too. The drop Friday, which was a sure TD, was from a back up and the game was no longer in doubt.
-
Apparently, you weren't watching what Liberty was doing on the field and on the piles.
-
I was answering the guys question. If you're so sensitive about then skip the post.
-
I'm pretty sure it was the back up kicker that missed the PAT's. I know it was him on one, for sure.

Definitely areas to improve on, but the offense didn't punt all night. It was a dominant performance even with the mistakes. -
All but 1 TD for the JV this season has been scored by freshmen.
-
6 freshman playing on JV.
-
I was impressed with Ned's running game, passing game and their defense. I think they will be very solid this year. I was impressed with same for WOS, but most impressed with their heart. I saw more heart last night than I did all of last season. To have 3 turnovers, several mishandled balls and have a come from behind 4th qtr win in a hostile environment is a pretty good deal.
-
WOS actually has 3 good kickers right now. Ibarra, of course. Santos the punter is also a great kicker and the freshman you are asking about (who is a Soph now) is the kicker for the JV. He'd be on the varsity for most teams. Feast or famine over here. The kicking game is in as good of shape as it has EVER been.
-
Not a CB. Plays Rover (DE).
-
The freshman had 5 players moved up to JV. The QB and starting RB for the JV were freshman. They scored all 4 TD's for the JV.
