1. I agree, I'm just more curious about what Silsbee has coming. I thought they would be down a little just based on what I knew they lost. No idea they were a state contender.
 2. You say they are running a totally different offense? Did they scrap the Spread? Where did this QB play last year? Do you have any stats?
 3. T, that is kind of the point of my post. Silsbee struggles with WOS with their best teams. How are they going to climb that tower THIS year, after losing half their coaching staff, their QB and a few others while, on the other side, WOS brings back (arguably) their best team ever? Now, I'm just trying to strike up a convo, not hurt nobody's feelings. But just something I've been wondering about. And, I understand they got some transfers, but I don't believe a transfer is going to make them contenders unless one of them is s stud QB that threw for 3k last year, but I'd think I would have heard about that. While we're on the subject, who DID transfer in?
 4. So I'm hearing there is some serious smack talk going back and forth about this game between the kids and some adults. Even heard of some hefty waigers going on. Heck, even my buddy KJ dad left because of all the talking. Is this really going to be a big game? Silsbee lost their QB. I know they have a couple of great recievers, but those guys aren't going to be effective without someone to get them the ball and someone to block for him. What gives?
 5. I don't live in MC so I don't know the real reason why this occurs every year, but you think it could have something to do with the larger number of papers (subscriptions) coming out of MC? If that's the case, I could see them doing more coverage on the MC teams. Just a thought.
 6. Yeah, but you could almost count the beat down we gave them in 14 as two :). 35-0 shutting them out and they never crossed the 50. It was definitely the worst beating in the series. NOBODY beats LM like that!
 7. I haven't heard anything about a feud... I HAVE heard the quote that he can't keep getting beat by 50 and keep a job... But that's just how it goes in that series. You win some and you lose some and sometimes you win by a lot and sometimes you lose by a lot. We've taken our whoopin's from Jasper and didn't quit the series over it.
 8. WOS 7th- 32, OF 7th- 0 WOS 8th- 27, OF 8th- 0 WOS 7th (5-0, 2-0) WOS 8th (5-0, 2-0)
 9. Last week:   WOS 8th- 40 Oak Park (Lake Charles, LA)- 18   This week:   8th A- 32 Silsbee- 0   8th B- 0 Silsbee- 0   7th A- 28 Silsbee- 6

 11. WOW! Congrats Toby Foreman! Friendswood and La Marque... man that's significant!
 12.
#6 & #9 are gonna be a powerful asset to the Stangs this year also!
Agreed, #9 first 3 plays were solo tackle for gain of 2, solo tackle for loss of 3, solo sack for loss of 4. Punt. Not a bad first series.
 13. My count was WO-S Freshman 5-1. WO-S JV 3-2. I could have missed one here or there, though.
 14.
The Mustangs will be strong and competetive every year, it's in the program. Look for another district title and a run in the play offs....
Silsbee will have a say in that next year, I can assure you. They will be loaded, especially on offense.
 15.
I will move on but I have this to say WOS would not have made it out of the second round if they would have been in the bottom side of the bracket. Coldspring and La Marque were a better team than WOS.
LOL... So now CS fans going to try and get their shots in? CS was a shadow of their former selves, they wouldn't have got past Lorena. LM and WOS would have been a good game.
 16. Offense should be much better. Defense will not be as good, they will have some good athletes, but you can't lose 8-9 seniors and it not take it's toll. However, we have a strong Sophomore class that will begin to make an impact next year as juniors.
 17. True, but I KNOW some are...  ;)
 18.

It's amazing that you didn't see what your players were doing. 11 and 12 were taunting and pushing after the play all night. So quit whinning.  Number 12 has been a trouble maker all year. You can see it on film and I've seen comments about him from referee's on other sites so please stop trying to make your kids sound like poor little victims. When 60 got ejected it was because 11 shoved his helmet into the ground when he was getting up. No excuse for his actions, but quit acting like your kids were innocent.
They may have been taunting, but I am pretty sure everyone was running their mouth.  The difference was they had no penalties called on them.
So getting away with it makes it OK? Then why are you still whinning about 14? He wasn't flagged either...
 19.
Congratulations to Navasota.  You were easily the better team. Nothing suprised me about how well you played, with the exception of how well your team rushed the ball in the second half.  The big play ability, the QB, receivers...they were good as I thought.  Especially #2. Before the game, I thought that the ONLY way WO-S had a chance to win was if we did not have turnovers and minimized the number of penalties on offense.  We did neither.  Even IF you remove the WO-S INTs, fumbles, and penalties, Navasota still wins this game, probably by a score of something like 35-21 or 38-28.  That is about as close as the game COULD have been and ONLY IF everything went right for WO-S.  The Rattlers were better.  I expect Navasota to easily beat Bellville next week (who should beat Port Isabel).  Then, Gilmer (who will beat Henderson) will provide some competition, but not enough.  You have a very impressive team.
I couldn't have said it better, Griff. We had to have a perfect game and we didn't get it. I'm trying to give the Rattlers credit, but the way some of their fans act is making it difficult for me.
 20. Dang you Navasota fans just can't be happy with your win, can you? Learn how to win guys, you don't have to humiliate the kids and their accomplishments in the process... WOS had 9 shut outs, you can't take that away from them. They let one game get away from them and you try to discredit everything they worked hard to accomplish all season! It's ridiculous how some of you adults act...

Before tonight, WOS would be the team to beat the Rattlers. Now, it's Gilmer. Grow a pair and take the loss. The better team won from start to finish.
Quit your freakin belly achin the person who said that is not even a WOS fan. Nobody is trying to take anything away from you... Act like youve been here before...
First, if you didn't make the statement about Gilmer beating the Rattlers, I wasn't talking to you.  Reading comprehension is NOT your friend. Yes FULL OF IT... We played and dominated the #1 DEFENSE. Now, Gilmer is going to be the team to beat Navasota? Act like you have been here before!  Congrat the better team and take your loss.  Game over.  NEXT!!!
Nothing wrong with my comprehension, homey. Navasota has a great team, but it's obvious some of the fans  need to learn how to win. People like you make it hard to pull for Navasota going forward...

 24. Navasota is a great team no doubt, but you can't have 5 turnovers in a half and stay in a game like this against anyone. Credit Navasota for taking advantage of them. They are as advertised... I just want to see the Stangs to come out and get back in this game. Brenham fan, I think most WOS fans gave them the respect they deserve... Do you expect us to agree that they are going to blow us out? Would you If it were Brenham? Doubt it...
