WO-S game time change to 1pm Saturday
They probably changed it because the Little Mustangs Pee Wee, Junior and Senior teams are playing in the Superbowl at Lamar. Many people wanted to make all the games. You guys should come and see those games...these kids can really play.
What time are those games? -

Really we have not been talked that much except for our fans. They don't even know us on the Smoaky board. We are ranked number three in most polls, but have not heard anyone really talk about us. I watch the high school scoreboard live show every Friday and not once have they mentioned us. I always hear them talk about Carthage, Henderson, Gilmer, and Chappel Hill. So we are actually kinda under the radar to most except for the few in the area that know us. It is kinda funny though before last year everyone was against us in every playoff game. This year we still have not earned any respect. Now were going to lose because we got the big heads. Not sure what we could do to earn respect from this area.
Ya'll have respect from me, I know CS is a great team. Just trying to say that they are not unbeatable. Most fans on here are talking like no one in the region has a chance at all. That no matter what happens in the games there is no way that CS can lose. I think that is why most people are saying ya'll have the big head. I respect supporting your team and predicting a win, but to sound like no one has a chance against ya'll is a little outrageous when the first kickoff of the playoffs has not taken place.
+1 ;) ...and that goes for Huffman, too with their "can't lose" attitude toward Silsbee... Like they are some sort of World Beaters... -
WOS ain't even gettin love from an alumni, per a certain texas tech football player. They probably win this one, but ain't going much further than the first round, seems to be the start of a tradition for them, lmao :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Funny... how many years did CS not even get past the first round or not even make the playoffs?

I didn't see anyone from BC say they would beat Huffman, nor did I see anyone from BC or WOS say they were "as good as any team in 22-3A", I think you folks are confused about the meaning of arrogance... and how do I "get over myself"... LMAO -
BC wouldn't be undefeated if they played cs's schedule ;)
This is the post of which I'm refering. There are no WOS fans bumping their gums like this or making comments about being "as good as any team in 22-3A". How do you know you would beat BC (which is what you are insinuating)? What has Huffman done to become such a Juggernaut all of the sudden? Oh yeah, your best team in the last 20 years barely beat a rebuilding Silsbee team last year... I forgot... Or was it because you only LOST to CS by 17???? Hilarious... ;D I don't think Huffman would get into the playoffs in 21-3A. -
I don't represent the whole team or fan base. I'm just one fan. I say CS will win by 3 + td's. Last yr BC talked the same crap and got the same butt kicking handed to them. What make this yr any different. You guys got a better team this yr? Well our team is better than last yr also. If BC beat CS I will follow BC to ever game and root for them. How many CS haters can say the same ???? ( I will also buy the popcorn)
Weaker sched does not = better team... ??? -

WEST ORANGE-STARK VS. SILSBEE BROADCAST/WOS WINS 24-13!!!!!
Gasilla replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Salter does a pretty good job of running when it's designed for him to run. He doesn't do as well improvising, like when the play is a pass and he needs to tuck it and run. Looks like he struggles making that decision. -
Lamar is far from a home game for Silsbee... If they do choose to try that then I say Silsbee should choose Silsbee and flip for it...

WOS Chain Gang Defense stepped up in the 2nd half, virtually shutting down the Tigers. The 3rd quarter was purely dominant by the Mustang defense. Silsbee only had 6 offensive plays in that quarter, gaining a minus 2 yards. Silsbee had a -16 yards rushing in the second half after gaining 100 yards in the first half. Silsbee did throw for 200 yards for the game, ending with a total of 284 yards of offense. WOS's offense finally decided to go to the run game after their first two offensive possessions were 3 and outs, and it paid off dearly. Mustangs rushed for over 250 yards, exploiting the Tiger's defense in the middle, with Lindsey and Salter having very good games on the ground. Salter did pass for 95 yards and a TD. Silsbee's defense just wore down in the second half. Silsbee's offense relied on the big play tonight and had it not been for 4 big plays, the Tiger offense would have been shut out. Just too much speed on that Mustang D. It should also be noted that penalties killed the Mustangs tonight. Had it not been for some very untimely penalties on WOS, the Mustangs probably win this game by 3-4 TD's. Congrats WOS on a very good game and win. You were clearly the better team. Congrats on your district championship. Silsbee, keep your head up. Got one game left and a win over Hamshire-Fannett will send you guys to the playoffs once again.
Classy post!
I agree, very objective post AAW. -
For all the little johnny parents out there. Here is a hint to make you feel better. When you have a kid like Kendrick on your high school team, you better hope and pray your kid has put in the work when the opportunity comes. Guess what? Scouts will be in the stands watching players like Kendrick. Guess what? If "little johnny" is truly ready, he will be seen by a college scout. So, don't beat the hand that may feed you.
Sooooooo very true. Happens all of the time! In other words, don't hate... APPRECIATE!!! -
If our O can't put enough points on the board...what differance does it make how good a defense is. ;D Oh and if your saying Silsbee's defense is better than WO-S...That's a stretch. Will find out tonight if me or you know what we are talking about. ;D
Well, thru 3 district games, statistically, Silsbee's defense is better. Silsbee rushing 100.7 passing 106.6 total 207.3 points 6.7 WOS rushing 142.3 passing 138.7 total 281 points 14
AAW, you know that is not a good measure because Silsbee has played HJ. WOS has not, obvously the weakest team in the district.

Really.... Is this what it has come down to posting something like this has to have an alternative motive. Sure anyone can see watching HF Play 8th grade football against 3a schools which really but for Silsbee doesn't have any good teams that Kendrick is the best athlete on the field. But do you have to post it. What's your angle sOmething in it for you. How bout posting that the best true football player on that team is Kye Williams 34. What about defensively Kendrick plays center field and will not come up to fill a hole. If your going to start a thread how bout making it a team thread. Unless you want Ozen to read this and recruit. Why can't grown men just let KIDS play. Remember KARMA is A *****
Ouch! Misdirected anger I presume ;) Alternative motive? NO! Oh, you're upset because you can't handle my honesty and truth about the situation. Well, let me give you more honesty since you want to start something. I could give a flying flip about 8th grade football because my kids are thru with the 8th grade football. I call it like I see it. Here is another tip for you. I can't remember the other running back's name (oh wait a minute while I make a quick call). Ah got it, Charles is his first name. Kid would be a beast at running back if they let him play. But thats another story. Kendrick is a dominant & special player. My comment does not take away anything from the other players. Last night against Bridge City (BC)on the opening kickoff, BC kicked the ball away from Kendrick (you saw this didn't you but you really didn't want to see it did you?) Guess what? On the very first play of the game, ol' twinkle toes ran for a 55+ yard touchdown. Okay maybe it was for 52 yards, my mistake. You saw this didn't you but you really didn't did you? Now, what really impressed me is when ol' twinkle toes played centerfield and (actually) CAUGHT the ball for an interception. I emphasize "caught" and a few true fans will understand my emphasis on "caught." The kid juked, faked, spinned, and ran the wrong way to the other end of the opponents one yard line, realized he ran the wrong way, reversed his field and juked, faked, spinned thru 11 players and at least 5 BC coaches for a 99 yard touchdown on an interception. You saw this didn't you- but you really didn't; did you? HF's 8th grade football is a good team. Now what else did you say? Oh yeah Ozen and that karma thing. That has nothing to do with the topic. This thread is/was about a very special football player on HF's 8th grade football team. And as a grown man, I haven't stopped any kid from playing but please don't try and put down a very talented player. It don't work. He's too talented
Hey Dove, the truth hurts, my man. To many little johnny's on that team not getting enough recognition. Those of us unbiased observers appreciate the kids talents more than those who's children benefit from them. Ill say it again, HF team without King is decent, King makes them great. If that truth stings to much then maybe your being a little to selfish.
