1. Well, I sat and watched him break a 70 yd run on WO-S and wasn't caught. Go look up the last time a player broke a run like that and didn't get caught. Even Brandon Williams was caught last yr when he broke. There was no doubt when Sezar broke, he wasn't getting caught. Granted, Thomas wasn't on the field, but Colbert and De' De' were...
Game was to be played at Moorhead in Conroe now at Sam H,  heres the tale of the tape                        Moorhead          Bowers West Orange        117 mi               143 mi Giddings               100 mi               104 mi For me I really do not see much of a differnce. round it off 25 more miles for WOS really the same for Giddings.
My statement was made more in response to why it was changed more than the length of the drive.
Trust me, LCM is much better than Kirbyville. ;) You will see tomorrow night when Silsbee scrimmages LCM.
I agree LCM is much improved from a few yrs. ago and they bring alot of size and speed to the game.
I agree with you 77. LCM did appear to be bigger than recent history. And then there is Sezar!

Can't be in two places at once, though...

Is WOS the easy favorite to win it or will Silsbee and the other teams be able to give them a run?
It's WOS district's to lose. Also, Silsbee will be better than what folks expected them to be.
After the first scrimmage, it sounds like Silsbee should be the favorite.

 10.
Is there politics in high school sports? Yes, I believe there is but very little. Coaches play the best players that give a "TEAM" the best chance to win. I don't see politics as a big issue. The big issue is parents who think their kid is better than they actually are. Lots of rose colored glasses out there.
Bingo!
 11. I was told by a couple of neutral parties that were there tht Nederlands defensive front looked very impressive and that neither team there was a match for them as they totally controlled the LOS. They said they were big and quick. I haven't been very impressed with Ned's defenses the last couple of years, but my buddy says these guys are different. and he's NOT a Ned fan. Should be interesting at Umphrey in a couple of weeks. Another little side fact, Z Taylor's momma is a WOS grad... No wonder he is so explosive...  ;D
 12. Great job td!
 13. Proud, I don't think Nupe and I are talking about the same person you are. The kid we speak of is a Soph no doubt.
 14.
#10 Hayden Reed for LCM is a stud, moved him all over the field on defense they had trouble blocking him. For the first scrimmage I think both teams looked very sharp.
That kid's gonna sleep well tonight. He didn't come off of the field much.
 15.
That's what I would like to know. Hope it isn't injuries.
Nothing major more precautionary than anything.
That is what I understand as well Griff. Jacquis Beasley was held out as a precaution as well. None of them have anything major and will probably play next week from what I hear.
 16. I'm not going to post his name, but he played for WOS in the STJFL League. He was a very special player. His dad moved to Beaumont and he moved with him and he played his Middle School ball there in Beaumont. He is now a Sophomore.
 17. Nupe, I bet that's the kid he's talking about. He has been gone for a few years now.
 18.
Yes is true there was a transfer to Ozen also
When? This year? Must have been an underclassmen.
 19. His leaving had nothing to do with offense or getting the football. It was defensive. He will be missed, but he is replaceable. A Sophomore is filling his role very well. And it was West Brook he went to.
 20.
WOSgrad, thanks for posting this article as a few things were made more clear.
Awesome to see someone follow God's calling. He'll be able to touch many lives now, young/old, athlete/non-athlete. Thanks for sharing.
 21.
He is twice the size that his dad was.
... ??? you are supposed to drink the 12 pack AFTER you go to practice... ;D He isn't any bigger than Quinton. He has decent size, about like his dad.
 22.
Personally, I like Menards attitude. Do I think BC will beat WOS? Not really but we shall see. Also, a great QB leads his team not just physicaly, but mentaly. Teams with great leadership are the ones who surprise people. I applaud the boy to be confident but not cocky. One thing that i feel certain about is WOS's play this year. Something tells me they will be a very scarry team to play. After were done beating eachother up during the season(lol), i hope that all of our 21-3A reps go deep in the playoffs.
Right!?!? What do people expect from the kid? Like he's going to say they have no chance? LOL... I don't blame him and he's using some sound logic. They DID beat WOS in the 7th and 8th grade and this probably IS their best chance to win for the foreseable future. I have no problem with what he said and I thought he was very respectful and not the least bit cocky. He SHOULD believe they can win. I think both of the kids interviewed represented themselves and their community well... JMO.
 23. Sounds like we need to round up a flag football game...
