  1. 705... that's like 234 yds passing per game. You sure about that AAW?
  2. WOS went to Memorial last year and played their "A" team and beat them 36-6. Our 9th grade also played their 9th "A" team and won 30-6. We ain't skeered of no 5A... You ain't gotta be scared to take this whipping you got comming!!!!! This ain't last year and our kids have a whole different mentality now. We're gonna try and put 50 pts on the the board. O and tell me what you think of our jv qb. when he's done running around the hook, he's smooth as silk with a cannon for an arm. 8) I wish I had a dime for everytime I've heard this. Your kids do it on the field, you'll get my props the next day. Until then, you're just a 5A JV team that got beat 36-6 by 3A JV team last year... ;D Your point is well taken gas. We've gotta prove on the field, and i promise we will, i was their last year, but a that was the this is now that was a program in disarray, without leadership, now we have the tools in place. Well i guess I'll see you in 3 weeks.
  3. Gotcha, they run a "Stack". I haven't seen that offense since I was in little league. Don't think I've ever seen a highschool team run it. Should be interesting. Dang, with double tight ends no less... I bet they don't do much passing, do they? LOL
  4. A tropical storm and Hurricane Rita are what has kept WOS from going to Newton... has nothing to do with "want".
  5. Freakin awesome! I get to do some scouting!!! Gotta love Fox 4!

  7. they don't call it the Triple I for nothing. I heard someone else call it that, but I have never heard of it refered to this way before. Do they run some sort of "hybrid" off of the "Power I"? Now, I've heard of the "Triple Option" or "Wishbone" for short where you have a Fullback and 2- Tailbacks. In this offense, the QB has 3 options (thus "triple option") where he can hand off to the dive back (Fullback) or run the option where he either keeps and turns up the field or options off to the other Tailback. See below, which one looks like Jasper. O O or O O O O O O OOOOOO OOOOOO

  9. This has got to be a mom and dad tag team...
  10. How can a team be 5-0 when, per the UIL, you cannot play a game until week zero... :-\
  11. The 7th grade team is LOADED and there's 55 kids on that team! :o
  12. Coop, are Haynes and Franks the only seniors? No Admin, to anwser your question: Defense Seniors- Haynes, Franks, Nelson, Rubin, Cook, Arnold (Rubin has been hurt all but 1 game and his replacements are Sophomores) Offense Seniors- Franks, Francis, Jordan (Haynes plays quite a bit, but does not start) Anyway, this year is the year... the time is now. Those defensive seniors will hurt when they are gone. thks, I was under the impression that all the starters were underclassman besides Franks and Haynes. I know the soph/jv teams are loaded and was wondering where those guys were going to play next year with all positions taken. Don't get me wrong, there are about 8 underclassmen on defense getting significant playing time in rotation and about 9 on offense. We should be good for the next few years, but the seniors we have right now are some players and they will hurt when they are gone.
  13. Gilmer had to replace it's offensive line and recievers. The replacements have struggled a bit, but are capable. The O-line has had some trouble protecting Godfrey. The WR's have good hands, but are not as fast as years past. This is not much of a weakness and something that can be lined out, but it's weakness enough that they are not bullet proof. However, right now, we are no where close to being at that level. We need to take care of our business and let the chips fall where they may. We need to play well against Jasper first.

  15. He is a big boy... he is on his own.
  16. I agree we need to get our playmakers the ball out in space. I thought skipper was questioning how well Franks played. I thought his effort was much better this week.

  18. ;D Ahhhh, you crack me up! You need to come around more often. The last post you made on the other thread nearly made me fall out of my chair.
  19. I thought he played pretty well, too. With the exception of the dropped INT. He came up and made some big hits on defense and ran hard with the ball and made one crucial catch in the 4th qtr. I don't see anything wrong with Franks taking snaps from the center. Anything out of the norm to throw off the other defense is fine by me (IF it works) and I thought Franks played well on Friday night.
  20. The Wildcats proved me wrong as well. I thought they had lost a lot to graduation from last years team. Apparently, they just reloaded because Friday was far better than I ever saw them look. They just may make another state final appearance.
  21. Actually, I had a much better come back for you than that, but I figured I'd better edit it to keep from offending more than just you... Oh, and thanks for the spelling lesson. Now if you can just perfect your reading comprehension then we we'll be OK. Judex, you, pretty much, summed up everything I was about to post. Thanks bro. You did the right thing for the right reason, not the reason you posted. Glad to see you have some reinforcements waiting in the wings. Why don't you explain the "real reason" then. You seem to think there are underlying meanings to everything... I think you need to stick to the obvious because that, apparently, is escaping you. As for my reinforcements. Maybe some think they can try to help you with the obvious better than I. I guess he may be falling short as well. Like he said, maybe you can't be helped... I think everyone around here knows I can handle my own business.
  22. What the heck are you talking about? And why is a Nederlander getting involved in a talk about WOS and Kville anyway? Are you still whinning about my opinion about Nederland (which was requested)? After last night, it sure as heck hasn't changed. ... and before you start a fight you can't win, you may want to bring some quotes with you made by me... Hey pal, how about this for a quote. I can get on any freakin thread I please. If you don't like other fans on here, stay on the WOS board. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about either. Whining is whining....plain and simple. "Hey pal", you still haven't told me where I'm whinning. At least I can take someone being objective about my team, and I often agree with what they have to say... Something you can't seem to muster... It's been nearly a week and you are still lerking around acting pissy... GET OVER IT!!! And while your throwing your little hissy fit, I never said you couldn't go to any thread you want, just asking what interest you have in WOS/Kville. Obviously, you have no other interest beside being a drama queen. Drama queen...hissy fit?....ha ha. I thought you'd come up with something better than that. I'm not still fretting about a game that happened over a week ago. Way to spin it though. The thing is, you made an assessment of my team. I countered with the fact that we turned the ball over 7 times and lost our QB. You and others claimed I was whining about the loss. Now you and others have spoken about penalties and ''playing bad'' ( that's a good one BTW) as to why K'ville played you so close. Shouldn't I call that excuses or whining as you like to say? You can't have it both ways, and I didn't appreciate it being called whining. It was an assessment just like yours. I have kinfolks from K'ville...old school. Actually, it's lurking and whining (sp) Actually, I had a much better come back for you than that, but I figured I'd better edit it to keep from offending more than just you... 23. I would not say it's out of the question that our defense give up more than 2 scores to Jasper. It really is going to depend on whether or not our offense cuts down on all of the mistakes and plays like they can. If our offense gives Jasper a short field all night, it could get away from us. I'm told that Jasper is HUGE up front on both sides of the ball, especially on offense. Our offense is going to have to keep the ball some. As good as our defense is, we can't let those big boys pound on us all night or we may be in trouble. If our offense comes out and plays well and puts some points on the board early, we can put Jasper in a position they don't want to be in. Jasper will try to win this with the same formula they beat Kville with. Keep it close early, pound on us and wear us out late and take advantage of WOS mistakes. WOS is going to have to play well, both ways, to win this one.
