What the hell are you talking about? And why is a Nederlander getting involved in a talk about WOS and Kville anyway? Are you still whinning about my opinion about Nederland (which was requested)? After last night, it sure as heck hasn't changed. ... and before you start a fight you can't win, you may want to bring some quotes with you made by me...

It's not "you guys" I see one person posting this stuff. I'm sure you wouldn't like all OF fans lumped together and neither do we. Why do you have so much disdain for WOS? The communities are within arms reach of each other. What would make you pull for Kville over us? I, personally, always pull for OF and am very happy with their success this year. Just wondering what got under your skin.

i've seen them play and they are good, but not where they were the week before the gilmer game last year at this point. they have the athletes to get there, we shall see. coop, this is the year, you have 2 div 1 signees on the field. i would think it would be waste of talent if you are counting on next year. I agree 150% with you Admin... Especially the "next year" thing. It's always "next year", the time is now. The offense may be better, but we will lose our whole defensive front. This team has the potential, they just need to put it together. Our defensive backfield is better and our QB, although young, can do some things Hypo couldn't.

WO-S is 3-0 Kirbyville is 1-2 You're totally right...we are 1-2..against really tough "3A"Teams and I think WOS played a great game, however, by all the posts I've read and how underrated everyone from WOS thought Kville was, Kville was by far the better team tonight! Oh well we will move on and play Liberty next week, hopefully come out with the win over there and head into district with our heads held high! We played tough against ya'll tonight and they deserve to be lifted up! please explain this statement! if you guys were FAR better then why didnt you win with ease? heck, why didnt you win period? Why didnt you beat us by 30? Why only by 1 in OT? Dude you almost got beat by a "2A" Team..what does that say for your program..LOL think what you want...I know kville was the better team...we all know who "REALLY" WON!!! Too bad there is no instant replay!!! : LOL... dude, I think your the only person who "really" knows who won... over the ref who was standing right on top of the play. Several people on the sidelines who saw it, the TV station who has the replay of it... etc. etc. MAN you are good...

I will say this, Kirbyville did hang very tough tonight and deserve to be proud of their team. To say they were "the better team by far" is reaching. They did play better than most expected, but don't lose your mind.

I don't think those calls on the goal line were questionable. 55 moved early on the first one and 89 moved early on the second. I saw both of them.

I would take your moral victory and be happy with it and stop insulting the Stangs. If you watched the same game I did, you wouldn't want a "do over"... Congrats to Kville for hanging in there and playing a very gutsy game. They did much better with the turnovers. 2 of them early, then nothing after. Chaingang played well. Kville had a big line and some big tough running backs and we held them in check for the most part, but giving them a short field with turnovers and that bad punt will kill you. As for our offense... How many penalties did we have? We must have had, at least, 10 flags and 6 of them procedure calls. Starting 1st and 15 on 50% of your possession doesn't bode well for offensive success. And what's up with the bobbled snaps? We must have had 10 of those. That's another "give away" play. As far as I'm concerned, we were very fortunate to come away with the win. The bright spot is that these things can be corrected. Hopefully, they will be. As for the guy talking about us not being the favorite... does anyone really care about being "considered" the favorite... LOL. District is won on the field, who cares about who someone "thinks" is the best.

Topic: WOS grade Vidor, LCM & Ned... LOL You guys kill me. No one is trying to be fair or unfair, sufficient or insufficient. And I think the whole reason for the topic is for what we think "at this point". The fact that is it early in the season kind of goes with out saying.

If nederland does have a down year, I will definitely NOT be on here telling anyone "I told you so". I do not wish Nederland a bad or mediocre season at all. Again, I just gave my opinion... This isn't some sort of challenge. If Nederland does end up winning the district title instead of taking 2nd or 3rd (which I said could happen ) then feel free to smack it up all you want. I just don't think it's going to happen because we both agree Ned is missing the big play guy, experience at QB and something you didn't mention, but the line is smallish and didn't block very well. You can't fix the size, but the blocking is something that can improve, hopefully it will from this point. Good luck to you guys.

This is a good post and I agree, especially on the part about the big play guy. That's what I mean by speed. Ned usually has a guy that we just can't seem to cover. Even when we played them in 2000 with, probably, our best (or one of our best) defenses ever, Yoder still got his. That guy is not there this year. None of the Ned recievers could get open consistently. Brubaker- again, not trying to pour salt into a wound, but some problems can be fixed and some can't. You can't make a kid run faster over the course of a season and you can't pour 2 years of varsity experience into a kids head over the course of 2 games. If anyone can "coach around" a deficit it is Neuman, but sometimes you are just a little down. This maybe the year, in my opinion. On the other hand, maybe the defense will be the saving grace, but they will be in trouble with a fast, passing team.

I never have agreed with the "get an easy win for confidence" thing. I mean, do you think the kids don't know the teams they played weren't very good when they win? On the flip side, do you not think it helps the losing team when they play a team they know is good, close? I think it can have a reverse effect many times because the 2-0 team really don't know how good they are, but the 0-2 team has a good idea because they have played good teams.

I think this is a reasonable response, and you are correct. I don't have a lot to go off of at this point other than the only real game Nederland has played so far in 2009. I could be completely wrong on my assessment, but I don't think I will be. I disagree about I could give the same line of thinking for other Nederland teams. I have seen a bunch of pretty good Ned teams. To me, they do not have quite the speed they usually do. I'm not saying that Ned usually has burners all over the field because they never do, but they usually have more than what I saw. They are also usually bigger up front and have better line play than what I saw. They used to be pretty good against the run, but the last couple of years they have been a little soft. It appears this years team will be a little better. Now, when Ned fans come on here and say things like, "You people just keep overlooking us... blah, blah, blah". That is not someone giving an opinion, that is someone whinning because they didn't like what they read.

I think the Bulldogs played excellent considering 7 freakin turnovers and losing their QB. An INT for a TD (be sure and clip Bellow in the process) and another INT in close range, blown coverage on a long pass. Gee, I guess I'm just blind. You can keep your condescending tone to yourself too. Who do you think you are? I think I'm someone who called this before it ever happened. I even mentioned in my initial post that SOME Ned fans wouldn't like my assessment. In fact, I almost didn't even respond because I knew that there would be some Ned fans lose their mind over it. He ask ofor our opinion, that's what he got. It's not debatable, but it never fails that some of you are going to try it anyway. ... and yes, you are blind because there were no interceptions for touchdowns in that game. The beneficiery of the closest INT to the goal line was Ned at the 5 yard line. Also, when we went deep, even on the passes we didn't complete, our recievers were running away from your DB's. Then, when ya'll trid to go deep, your recievers couldn't outrun our DB's. Anyway, like I said, this ain't no debate. It's my opinion on a subject that was requested from someone. You may want to avoid this thread because all of your arguing ain't going to change it.

I knew some Nederlanders would come on this thread and get their feelings hurt... Admin asked the questions from unbiased opinions that have seen all three. If you guys don't want to see the answers then you may want to avoid this thread. If you did not see a HUGE difference in the speed between WOS and Ned then you are nothing but a blind fan with no sense of objectiveness in your body and probably should avoid this thread and any other that may have something negative about your precious bulldogs. While we are at it, another "fan" said everyone one was predicting them as cellar dwellers. I've only seen one post that didn't have them in the playoff mix. You guys need to quit reading with your heart.
