  1. Mike, I'll do some checking and get back with ya. Aggies, have them televise the WOS Silsbee game.
  2. Ned put a whipping on us. I think it was 38-13 or 38-20. Something like that.
  3. All that 3A, 5A stuff is just a bunch of hype. I sat on the Memorial side tonight and one of the Memorial fans told me that their JV was undefeated. The WOS Freshman and JV teams are just good... good athletes and good coaches. You only play 11 at a time, your best 11 against there best 11. If yours are better than theirs it doesn't matter if they have 50 left or you have 10. Only those 11 can play. I counted 70 kids on the Memorial sideline, WOS 22 and those 22 administered a freakin beatdown.
  4. I will call her today. This is a chance for all former Mustangs to step up to the plate. I will find a way to get it done but it will be easier and faster with help. I'm sure it won't be free. If you have an interest in helping my number is 882-1943 feel free to call me. We can't all give everything but we all can give something. Here is your opportunity Mustangs, either sit on the sidelines and pi$$ and moan about things or get involved and help fix the problems. You can also pm me. T, when you talk to the secretary, call me and let me know what we need to do. Now, the biggest problem I have with this is that, if insurance money was paid to repair the sign then it should have been spent to repair the sign. Not spent ANYWHERE else. Also, wasn't there like 1.5 million dollars of that bond for updating and REPAIRS TO THE STADIUM? I would think that the sign in the stadium would fall under that. Sure is a lot of fishy crap going on...
  5. They don't have "one of", they have THE best winning percentage in the state. I think that WOS is at the top of this list no doubt. As for year in and year out success, no team in this area is even close. One losing season in their history. I totally agree. As for programs, the Stangs are at the top. Now if you are talking about traditions and support along with the on field success, then you have to go with PNG. Well, I guess that would depend on how much the support part of it is weighted. There is no doubt, PNG's support of their team is unmatched in this area and probably the state.

  7. WOW! I sure don't remember 217 yards passing. I remember the 55 yard TD and the tipped pass for a TD, but don't remember much past that. I thought he might have more rushing yards than that.
  8. I'm hearing that WLV not the same team since the Parr bros and the two linebackers left.
  9. Yeah, I can understand that. Maybe 24x7 just has rough wording. If the officials said to have 10 days of supplies and you would be on your own if you stay and then told the people not to come back, then it is their fault. I am forced to stay due to work but we know that FEMA (or anyone else) is not going to be there for probably 3 days just to get us some relief in the form of food and water. We have provisions for food, water and housing for several days after a storm. If anyone wants to stay, they should expect the same. Anyone that thinks FEMA is going to be (or even should be) camped out on their doorstep a couple of days after a storm is being ridiculous. Put that way, I can see the point. Put that way, I see the point and I agree. I was one who stayed, and as they warned, was prepared for the 10 days with no help. We were fully self sufficient. I think most are concerned with the expenses incurred, whether they stayed or left, that cannot be avoided. Those who left incurred hotel and food expenses. I incurred gas expenses for my generators. My wife is out of work now because of it which has nothing to do with staying or going. My point is that, just because I stayed should not negate me from any recovery available. Their are expenses incurred either way. It now is looking like no one is going to recover anything... :
  10. I think just the opposite. Vidor's big O-Line and Wing-T offense will wear out the Jags in the 4th and win it 21-14.
  11. I sure hope they can pick up a game somewhere. Missing one game is tough, but 2 is really bad. They need the reps. It will be almost like starting the season over again.
  12. I think the point is that if you left, you probably got damage and were without power. If you stayed, you got the same damage and were without power. Other than that............. Yeah, that's about all I'm getting out of it too...
  13. North Star Construction... does work mainly in the Orange County area. They do excellent work. (409)351-6065.
  14. What point are you trying to make with this post?
  15. Yeah, one of my daughters were on that bus.
  16. Amen bro! I sure hope WOS gets back on the field as soon as possible! My daughter is a senior and they should not have this catastrophy steal their senior year.
  17. Guys, a FEMA rep made the mistake of wearing his badge to the Waffle House in Orange this morning so I hijacked him on his way out LOL and I ask him to give me some straight answers. I ask him a plethora of questions and he finally told me that, they were, more than likely, have a lump sum relief money available even though it is not right now and that everyone will end up being eligible whether you are in a FEMA hotel or not or still living at your house on generators. He did not know a time table, but he made mention of the fact that it's an election year and they are going to want voters happy so he was sure it was coming. This, by all means, was not official, but it's good to hear.
  18. I'm assuming this is no longer the schedule, correct?
  19. It broke my heart seeing BC and Orange on Saturday morning. Today we rode around the BC and Orange areas and I saw many people already back, beginning to pick up the pieces. American flags are out and it makes me feel proud of this area and the community that raised me. I can't wait to see BC, Orangefield, Vidor and WOS running on the field again in spite of Ike and the devastation he brought. I love the fight and resilience of this area. Makes me proud to be a Southeast Texan!
  20. I think The Brook would probably win, but it would not be a blow out. Probably more like 24-14.
  21. Pilot on Hwy 62 and as well as the Shell station both have gas and some food.
