Remember Vidor played them to a 14 - 14 Tie last week! vidor will kill nederland.. they are actually good this year. Get over it... it was a scrimmage. WOS would destroy vidor in the real world. I can't wait for district. By no means do I believe Nederland will dominate. But we will beat vidor solidly Isn't there supposed to be a televised replay of this game? I sure would love to see Garrett go at it again!

Man, Haynes kicks that ball along way for a 3 step approach! After the first botched xtra point (which I think was a problem with the hold), he kicked them very well. Great job!

Actually, if he plays tightend, he couldn't be ineligible unless we lined up in double tight ends on one side (which we never do). I think the culprit on the illegal receiver was number 60. I always look for that when a flag comes in late from the line judge on a pass play (that's almost always the call). He was hustling trying to get back to the LOS, but it was too late, he was busted. ;D As said earlier, it didn't hurt us though.

Yeah, cardenas has some great hands. That circus catch he made over Josh last night was awesome! Josh had the coverage on him, sometimes athletes just make plays and that's what he did.

Man, that thing is nice! I caught myself a few times thinking, "Man, I wish I could see that again". Then I realized, I could! It's also good to see with regards to the refs calls. Everyone around me sure thought we had Bellows for a safety in the 3rd qtr. But on the replay, you could see his progress got him just outside of the endzone.

Gotta give some love to the boys up front, too. They looked much better. The Robinson bros looked good in "mop up" duty as well. You are right though, the sky's the limit for Quinny this year.

My analysis: Garrett is a STUD! I think our defense is going to be tough. You are not going to make a living running on this team. Ned had 13 yards rushing and that ain't bad against Nederland. We gave up a little in the air, but Bellows is a good QB and that Cardenas kid made some circus catches out there. We only gave up a total of 204 yds. against a team like Nederland, that's awesome! I could not believe how well our O line blocked tonight, they looked so-so in the scrimmages, but really came to play tonight. I really had no idea what to expect coming into tonight, but they far exceeded what I thought they would/could do. 458 total yards... WOW! I think Nederland will be OK. They have a great passing game. Their defense will have to tighten up though.

Will this game be broadcast anywhere?

Regardless of the field condition, I hope WOS fans dodn't make excuses. As long as both teams play on the same field then it's fair. We had a few fans make excuses last year about the LCM game. I hope that doesn't happen this year. If you win by 1 or 100 you still only get 1 win. Amen! And that don't go for WOS only. Both sides have been known to have some excuse makers. Not so much the ones who have posted on this thread, but they are lurking in the shadows...

He was #15. A tall kid. He caught a couple of passes and he also broke off about a 25 yard run in the second half at Running Back. One tackle away from much more.

No, he definitely doesn't... ...and I'm not real sure how him watching HF, EC, Jasper and Kirbyville the last 20 years makes him an expert on Hooks either. I'm still waiting for him to tie that all together for me. :

They did that for the freshman and JV. It was to dark to do that for the varsity.
