Maybe Moody should show more class than to rob the kids of WOS AND LCM of a game that this community looks forward to every year. Most of the folks I know from LCM did not want this game cancelled. He should be ashamed of representing the LCM community like this. I know the people of LCM were not afraid to play this game, but yes Moody was quite afraid of it. So all of you who were on here yesterday saying that the thread was ridiculous, what do you think now? What could possibly be the justification for this?

I don't think Garrett is getting much attention right now because he played behind his brother last year. However, games like last Friday will get him on the radar screen quick!

Man, we are not getting anything at all here in Orange. Very little wind and no rain at all so far. Just overcast and a little cooler which is nice. The BBQ place next to Crazy Jose's has been open the whole time. I think we will be heading over there later. For those of you who evacuated, all OC schools as well as Deweyville have canceled school for Tuesday and Wednesday. The rest of the week is pending any damage to this area, which I don't see happening.

If you guys need anything during the night, we are straight across I-10 from you. Probably less than a mile as the crow flies. I'll be checking here and giving updates. Let me know if you need anything. ;D

115 mph winds now, I don't see this being another Katrina unless some drastic changes happen quickly. We may only get some rain... ;D

I don't think they block hwy's unless the area is declared a disaster area. I think a mandatory evac means there will be no emergency services available, your pretty much on your own, but I'm pretty sure they do not stop traffic.

He misses one, the first one and you're already done with him. This was his first kick in a game. Give him a chance. He went on to do a great job. Let's have some patience. ...and even that one was a messed up hold, so it wasn't even his fault. This kid will be a good kicker. td and I watched this kid at practice pumping them thru the uprights over and over from 40, so just give him time and he'll bring that to the real games.

Wow... what sticks out to me on these stats is that only one of the top five passing teams won their games, but all five of the top 5 rushing teams won. You have to be balanced!

I'm staying. Every new NHC update has it going further and further East. Even the Wunderground models show it going much farther East. I think I will wait until I know it's coming this way, then I'll bolt. Tanks are full and we're ready, but I'm taking the "wait and see" approach.

WOS only rushed 3 all night long. I wondered about that at first, but you can't argue with the results. I don't think the intent was to put a ton of pressure on the QB. I felt we did very well in coverage. There were several batted down balls and off target passes where the reciever was blanketed. That's just good defense. Obviously, Coach T felt we had the athletes to contain the passing attack and not give up the run. Apparently, it was the right call. I feel Ned didn't run more because they couldn't, 8 of their 16 runs went for 0 or negative yards. They didn't establish the run because they couldn't. Anytime a team is succssful at moving the ball, they will score more points. I think the trouble they had more to do with an outstanding defensive effort than Ned miscues or bad play calling. I will agree, we have plenty of room for improvement on the blown pass coverages, but I know that will be corrected. I feel the defense is VERY solid right now and could be great down the road.

Remember Vidor played them to a 14 - 14 Tie last week! vidor will kill nederland.. they are actually good this year. Get over it... it was a scrimmage. WOS would destroy vidor in the real world. I can't wait for district. By no means do I believe Nederland will dominate. But we will beat vidor solidly Isn't there supposed to be a televised replay of this game? I sure would love to see Garrett go at it again!

Coop, if the storm were to stay on this track, what kind of winds would we get here (estimate) in Orange if it lands with 150mph winds?
