I could agree with this if it were the offense being "tinkered" with. The defense didn't need his "stamp". Its been good for 45 years. Besides, I'm not sure what his "stamp" would be. He's never been a HC. He previously was at WOS so I'm not sure how proven his system is or how in the world it would be different from the one he was coaching under before he got that job.

They started mid 3rd quarter in the 50. Still not running it right but have stopped the run between the tackles. -

I'm told they don't do tackling drills in practice anymore. Don't know if that's fact but by their tackling last week and the first half it certainly appears true. -

40... -
#7 Judge and #20 Mallett.

I've thought the same thing since he was in MS. Great football name!
-
That's a name I havent heard in years. Whatever became of McGuire?
-
Since we're talking "making it to state" that wasn't really making it to state, what exactly was "making it to state"? Beating WOS or the semi-finals? 🤔😁

I think they are too. I was wondering about the QB replacement, but it looks like they have not missed a beat. Peevey is the man in that respect. Hopefully both go farther! GL!

It's not that simple. The Mustangs were up at the half by 3 scores last year. That changes your plan from stopping the run to containing it to make sure you don't give up any quick scores. Both games played out differently.
-
Yes sir, and it also allows you to bring more pressure off the edge when you have speed. Stop the run, control the pass.
-
The 50 and the 40 are different philosophies. Yes, in highschool football, it makes a difference. CT thought so as well.
-
It might not have. Again, time will tell.

I dont disagree with you. That's why I stated in my original post that I'll reserve saying too much. I HOPE it works out. But, what I saw against LCM was what I was afraid of when I saw we were running that defense. I agree that LCM is better than most give them credit for. You know I bleed Blue and Silver. I hope they DO have a good grasp on the changes they've made. Time will tell. I think we're going to learn a lot more about it this week. I saw more that bothered me other than the scheme, hoping it was just an off night for the boys. That happens. Hopefully they are still doing the things in practice that made us fundamentally sound. Again, time will tell on that.

What's your point? Is shutting out opponents in a down year the goal? You know me and what I'm about and I know you. Better we don't go down this path. I've said all I'm going to say for now.
-
Unfortunately. Despite promises to the contrary. The one thing you shouldn't screw with here got screwed with. I'll reserve saying too much. Maybe they know better than a future Hall Of Famer.
-
The Mustangs have not run the 50 a single down yet this season...

And Kashmere.

Looks like Palestine has a couple bruiser RB's and some size. Had a couple defensive TD's which was the difference. Defense does pretty good against the run, not so much against the pass.

Ugh... it was worse than I remember.
