Everyone does have expectations, it's just that the cowboys and their fans are the world's worst at claiming a super bowl win before the season even kicks off.

All I'm saying is the Texans under a rookie HC and rookie QB went further than super bowl winning HC and MVP candidate QB. But this is the same song and dance every year with the cowboys. Overachieve by beating bad teams, winning one maybe two games to provide hope to the cowboy faithful and then when it comes down win or go home.... they go home.

The whole Texan team is nothing but a bunch of rookies. Cowboys aka Pavement Princesses have veterans all across the board and still didn't make it as far as the Texans.

SPE no special requirements. Pass the TC test and you can teach SPE. Other subjects such as math, history, chemistry, etc. you need to have so many accredited hours (basically a degree in that field/subject) and then pass the TC test for that subject.

This is somewhat true. Back in the 90s our coaches gave us an option. Stay with the program to keep working out, running, etc. (as long as not a distraction) or we could do our own thing (supervised of course). Some of the younger athletes enjoyed us being in there. We pushed those kids hard and they loved it! "do our own thing".... play flag football, wiffleball, etc.

Vidor has too many Monday morning QBs or bleacher coaches that know way more than the coaches on the sidelines. Instead of getting their kids to buy in, they spend their time badmouthing the coaches... and yes, I hear this weekly at Vidor games or sitting on patios having a few cold ones with the guys. P.S. Yes, Vidor under Mathews spent a lot of time at LH.

I have a bachelors and a pretty decent income. I also have the ability to sit and watch a game without telling the tv I know more about football... and I have the ability to not act like a know it all on a message board. Its a pretty good feeling to just sit and watch lol

I am beyond happy not being a coach. I like my sanity and free time too much. Plus, I don't want to have to look for a new job every 7 years if I don't win a title.
