I'll take the bears but injuries for the bears may play a big role in the outcome.
-
I was probably one of the ones that disagreed but after watching the past couple games... I WAS WRONG.

As an observer of all but one game this year, I can say that Vidor football is not in good shape. The team is undisciplined and lacking want and desire to win. There is more of a ME mentality than a WE mentality. Personal fouls, standing off to the side by yourself, talking to parents, girlfriends, friends in the bleachers while the game is going on, mental errors like fumbling or trying to go for a big hit instead of wrapping up.... that is all look at ME stuff. Are the coaches to blame... yes and no. You can coach and motivate all you want but eventually the players have to buy in and right now the players have not bought in... well not all of them. This post is not me thinking that Vidor should be undefeated or #1 in state. This is an observation post.

Well I don't! Miss it... Miss it... Wide right or left 🤷♂️
-
You should definitely say that when Lumberton is about to kick!!!! 😂
-
Nah... he got 2 left feet lol

Vidors kicker is the difference.... 38-34 Vidor

Vidor (28) @ Little Cypress-Mauriceville (34) - FINAL
Right99JOH replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
Not disagreeing with you... thats for sure! -
I still believe the secondary is a strength, but the cards are stacked against them when you give WRs 7–10-yard cushion. Oh well should be a good game.
-
Ummm Vidor's first year in 4A the team went 5-5. There was a ton of fire and passion with that group. Also, I don't recall seeing a player getting kicked out of a game during Mathews HC years.
-
I do. Mathews was a great motivator and got the best out those young men. So far I'm not seeing that with the new HC. The kids look to be very undiscipline (not all of them).
-
I'm not sure but for what every reason it's the coverage Vidor runs... and it's not good lol

I'm not going to name any names or call out jersey numbers but there are a couple, few players that would not be on my team. Way too many personal fouls, unsportsman like penalties. Kids looking the stands and not paying attention to the game. Coaches need to have a heart to heart! -
I know you probably only watch Vidor play once a year, but that's how Vidor has run the defense the last however many years. 7, 8-10 yards off the ball. Give up the underneath but not over the top. Do I like it... nope.
-
The changes had to be made. Lost the starting safety to a knee injury.
-
Vidor's best defense is the offense... ground n pound. QB is very quick and fast. RB #26 or 28 runs hard, very hard and some speed. RBs #3 and 6 only need a little daylight to take it the distance. If it comes down to defense, I'll give the edge to Vidor. Vidor's strength is their LBs and Secondary. Well secondary was a strength till the starting safety injured his knee.

@setxathlete14 Don't underestimate a couple, few timely passes
-
Game Day!.... Final score prediction?!?! Vidor's passing attack is the difference maker.... YES... Vidor's passing attack. Vidor 25 - Lcm 18
-
Lumberton by a few... win'em while you can. The good'ol days will soon be back 😮😂
-
Good season to all of 10-4A. Maybe next year will be our year. Let's not forget about teams losing players to injuries, grades, discipline. Anything can happen in football.
-
1. Lum. 2. Vidor 3. Lcm 4. Liv. Top 3 could be rearranged. We'll know more come Friday night!
-
LOL... I guess after everyone's last game we shouldn't play in the playoffs. Crown a DC and move on to next season.
-
Cities like Austin, Portland, and a couple others have glorified homelessness, and in those cities, you probably are not going to fix the homeless problem. It there a clear, cut-n-dry way to solve the problem... nope, but you have to start somewhere. Where that is.... I'm not sure. I'll leave that up to people who are more experienced.
-
I believe in the past lcm has been more balanced and that did not translate to victories. For whatever reason, lcm does not fare well against the slot-t and do not expect the offense to be the same as when Mathews was coaching. Slightly different elements make Mathews and Dubois offense different. Should be another good game between the two.

2023 Dallas Cowboys

Should be a good one. Sunday night prime time! I watched about 10 minutes or so of yesterdays game and the Pats looked bad... real bad. When the camera would show Belichick he looked lost and like he could careless about being there.
