  1. And replaced him with a OC who's never called a play in his career instead of allowing Ed Dyer to take the reins as OC. Explain that...
  2. Says the team thinking they're good beating up on little 3A teams. lmao You obviously didn't take the time to read about any of the issues. Have a conversation with kids on the LCM '21 team vs what's going on now and you'll see he's not the same coach.

  4. Agreed. He just made the statement that they’re similar in offensive style and players which I get as the road goes thru them in the playoffs. Not really saying they “are” CH, sorry for any confusion.
  5. I didn’t get to watch him a whole lot, but out of the 5, he’s the second best if that tells you anything. Right guard is #1
  6. Very hurtful. Drive extenders on 3/4th down in the red zone.
  7. This O-line, really only has two big guys. Not sure where the hype came from, but the right guard and tackle are the studs(295/275lbs). The center(220lbs) and left side are undersized(~200-210lbs) and under performers.
  8. All starts at the top. More of the same crap as the OF scrimmage. Peevey can’t have different rules for different players. One of the late hit out of bounds penalties was by the same kid that did it vs OF and FACED NO CONSEQUENCES. He also had a temper tantrum on the sideline because the new OC kept throwing it to kids who drop the ball, numerous times last night. Next week is going to be another big game, Peevey compared Iowa to Chapel Hill, and it’s homecoming. They’re also honoring the 30 year reunion of the ‘94 district champ team. They have to pick a QB and give him the opportunity to be the man or not. Peevey and the OC have to stop replacing the QB after TD drives. So stupid.
  9. Dave Campbell's prediction:
  10. I can tell you with 100% certainty, that has nothing to do with it. Both kids are great students, and both were 100% committed over the summer in workout programs and attendance(I've talked about this before). Neither are trouble makers, and come from good families. They are in love with the junior, but his performance hasn't been living up to the hype in both scrimmages and 1st game.
  11. Coaches still pushing the dual QB non-sense. Senior played the majority of the game Friday in the mud bowl, was successful vs PNG and OF, but still has to play the backup role. smh Who knows at this point with these jokers.
  12. Starting RB for LCM is Jonah Fuller was going both ways. #22 Curious what your thoughts on the QB situation is? Senior #5 or junior #0? Also wondering if you felt the refs were one sided towards the home team? Specifically the two huge missed PI’s on crucial downs, goal line.
  13. Not yet. Senior has been more successful through the first two scrimmages. Threw 3 TD's w/ 1 interception and moved the ball well against OF and the PNG 1's, and ended up scoring against their 2's. Junior threw 3 interceptions against OF, no scores. Threw an interception on his first pass vs PNG, and then scored late in the scrimmage against their 2/3's. I hear the plan is to keep on with the "dual QB" system for some reason.
  14. Anybody have any info on the Bridge City vs Newton scrimmage? The 21-0 BC I saw is a little surprising.
  15. I hope so too. I’m pulling for him to right the ship, and these next 4 weeks will be a helluva test. Some of the players from the ‘21 season have been working out with these guys, so they’re getting good mentorship. Hope it sticks and they’re able to get it together.
  16. I can’t say that, Breaux was a product of Peevey. Both CAN be good coaches, looks like Breaux has struck a chord in OF with lots of discipline and hard work. In LCM he wasn’t a players coach, not many kids liked him. You can’t talk down and ridicule kids all the time, you have to build them back up after they make mistakes, and he didn’t do that. Maybe as the head coach he’s working on that. Peevey has what it takes, but he’s not coaching the same as he did in ‘21. He’s catering to a small group of kids that lack the fortitude to be coached tough and grow without the fear of them quitting, and it’s costing him in the eyes of his other players. You have to hold EVERYBODY accountable.
  17. Seems like someone has been saying that here recently. 🤔 You can’t have different rules for different players. Players see that and lose respect for the coach. Been telling y’all Peevey isn’t the next Nick Saban. I don’t understand why with 4 minutes left in the scrimmage, you don’t run your 4 minute offense and go and try to score and leave with your heads held high and something to build on next week, instead of your tail tucked between your legs. You don’t run the clock out and don’t even try, they quit and gave up. OF won that scrimmage.

  19. 1994...you?
  20. I think we got sideways here. It's obvious we both are LCM fans, so I'm going to say that I really hope they prove me wrong and make me eat my words. Peevey has done a ton for the school and the program, similar to what David Williams did when he took over those first 4 years. It's way better off now than when Crouch left, that's undeniable. I'm old school, you're new school, we did things differently back when I played which is why some things the coaches do nowadays makes me wonder what the heck. It's an exciting year with lots of potential, can't wait to watch the Green and White game Saturday and see how things go.
  21. Pretty darn good is having 3 winning seasons in a row? The last 2 6-5? I mean, I guess.
  22. We're all entitled to our opinions. LCM has an opportunity to do what no team has done since 1994 and win an outright dist championship. I'm pulling for the guys, but question some of the moves by the coaches.
  23. From what I'm told, the current coaching staff does very little to develop their skill players. Current OC and QB coach doesn't do much in that regard. The junior QB was also working with the Jasper QB coach in private lessons as well. So these guys both had to go outside the program to work on their craft, other then 7on7.
  24. We'll circle back to this if they start off 0-3. Contrary to popular belief, Breaux was not a big loss. Ask any of his former, or current players, what they think about him. Play calling was sporadic and one dimensional, and he ran his best players(QB's) into the ground and got them hurt.
