  1. Agreed, that's why I said "on paper". But with 22 seniors and 17 starters returning the players are experienced. Similar to Lumberton and Silsbee last year, all have been playing together since sophomore year. Minus the D1 athletes. lol
  2. I was in full support until I've started seeing some of the choices, and hearing feedback from the players. Time will tell...I just hope they figure this out before district. Peevey will have a bullseye on his back if he blows it this year. These senior and juniors were district champs as freshman/JV, so on paper this should be their year.
  3. On a side note, the junior QB is also the starting FS in the defensive backfield which will pose additional issues.
  4. Kurt Zihlman, the QB coach under Breaux last couple of years.
  5. Not according to my sources. He is supposed to be supporting the new OC from the box, but they're not utilizing him at all from I'm told. Also, the senior is 5'11" and 185lbs and comes from good football stock. The junior is 5'10 and 165lbs.
  6. That's last years roster. Hutch Bearden and the rest are all seniors. And most have been playing since they were sophomores.
  7. He(senior this year) was on JV for first 3 game last year for some reason. They put the other kid(junior this year) in versus Kincaid and he went 3 and out and told the coaches not to put him back in. Quit on the team and the coaches. The senior this year went in and scored the only TD's versus Kincaid and Lumberton and finished out the season when the #1 went down. Not sure if this new OC has any idea what he's doing. Hard to understand why Peevey would give the OC job to someone who's never called a play in his career vs Ed Dyer who had the highest scoring/throwing offense in WOS history. Questionable move in my opinion.
  8. The new OC is playing favorites with the Junior. The senior put on 10lbs of muscle over in the offseason and has been working with a QB coach in San Antonio developing his game. Sad, but it'll work itself out once the hitting starts from what I hear.
  9. I don’t think it’s that big of a loss. That system has been in place for 3 years now so shouldn’t be hard to continue with different style of Off leadership.
  10. 23 Seniors with 16 returning starters. This senior group won district as freshman and sophomores on JV. Only new teams they will face will be non-district(?) and Liberty.
  11. Exactly, where do you think I got that number? $103,368 to be exact.
  12. LCM is in there. Peevey is making ~$103k.
  13. OF facilities are subpar and Peevey just rebuilt LCM's field. Now on to the stands, lights and facilities. He's also not going to bail on next year's LCM team which should win the district. His OC is applying for the OF job, so not going to step on his toes.
  14. Give me a break, Crouch 2.0? Yes, you're obviously delusional, but not surprising. Crouch's best record was 7-3, Peevey's first year he bested that at 11-3 where we missed the finals by 2 games and he won Bum Phillips coach of the year. Pretty similar if you ask me and far from a fall from grace. How's BC's record the past 5-10-15 years? Yall over .500? Not even close.
  15. Ruining his career...? lol 1 district championship already, 2nd in district this year, 3 winning seasons in a row for the first time ever, and favorite for another DC next year. Yeah, it sucks over here right now, especially for Peevey. Lol
  16. LOL...BC complaining about moving up to get destroyed by bigger "crappy schools"? BC had the largest jump in enrollment numbers and the 2nd worst record in D2. What does that say about your program and your "unathletic kids"? Stop blaming others for the state of your program. And LCM isn't anywhere close to moving up to 5AD2, we actually went down in enrollment.
  17. You did enough to comment. Lol. Get lost if you’re not interested.
  18. True, but considering his dad came as a coach w/ Peevey I don’t think that counts. Plus Hickman won’t ever sign off on any player that transfers to LCM.
  19. 16 returning starters, 22 seniors. 8 first team all district players returning. They’re going to win it in ‘24. And why do y’all keep saying that WOS transfers help LCM, name 1 player in the past 3 years(Peevey) that transferred and made an impact? Or even got to play for that matter.
  20. We'll see next year. Your stars are all graduating, and ours are coming of age.
  21. Agreed on the playoffs. When the offense is working, they put up some great stats. These coaches just have to work their own wrinkles out which should transpose to the team hopefully.
  22. You’re right, my bad on the naming players. New to the board, still learning the ropes.
  23. Have I said anything off base? If you're offense is stale and unproductive, changes have to be made. You dont have to be a coach to see that.
  24. Worster looked great! And Payne has looked pretty good stat wise so far. But if it's not working, it's not working. They've had Worster on JV all this year for some reason. Lewis is definitely NOT the answer at QB, he's horrible both physically and mentally.
  25. That was utterly embarrassing last night. Pull the starters that weren't getting it done, especially when you have underclassman who are quitting/giving up. Need to try something else. And the play calling this whole year has been horrendous. Last week the OC calls a screen pass with 24 seconds left in the half which gets pick 6'd instead of taking a knee and going in with momentum. 2 point conversion vs WOS...wth? These calls are killing any momentum we have. These coaches are blowing it with their personnel choices as well, their blatant and obvious special treatment of subpar underclass players is disgusting. There is a ton of talent on this team, but they continually play the same guys with the same outcome. Absolutely zero discipline and no accountability will be the slow death of this coaching staff.
