Knee pads do nothing in terms of protection for a player, and pose no safety risk if improperly worn (eg. exposed should pads or back plates). Its nice that officials have moved on and can focus on more important rules than knee pads.

Like the format for 6A?

The good news is: 1. people are only outraged at the speculation that suddenly 100s of schools are going to start opting up. This has basically become the red scare lol 2. We're talking two doormat setx school and doormat hisd schools, the effect is near zero. 3. Re-alignment is every 2 years so problems can be solved We aren't locking in TV contracts, There's a reason they don't announce districts the day after numbers get submitted. Let them work it out and likely mess it up. You know, the way bureaucracy is supposed to work. 😃
-
Districts haven't been made yet and the opt up wouldn't happen until realignment so it shouldn't be an issue.
-
looking at your schedule I would think you could keep those game (on different weeks, if scheduling allows of course) liberty replaces Splendora other than you played the entire "new" district this season
-
There's a few people on here that are very adamant that playing a tough non-district doesn't matter if your district is weak lol 🤣 I think either side is of the argument is exaggerated, no coaching staff is is going to lose sleep about it. Line up and play the team across from you.
-
Most districts have 7-9 teams. Your district schedule begins earlier and you lose those non-district games.

Don’t worry I don’t think about you

If the games are anything like the boards I may have to check it out

Sounds like some fragile egos in Orange, Looking at histories it sure seems like Lumberton and LCM have more in common than they want to believe. couple more play off appearances I think and maybe a few playoff wins. overall win/loss is very even. LCM has head to head. Seems like LCM is screaming and teary eyed trying to convince themselves that they are more like PNG and Ned than Lumberton.
-
I'll hopefully be at this one. Lets see if it lives up to the billing, will be the first time seeing either team in action.
-
Exactly. Starting rumors like this is a great way to get a witch hunt going as well

You are either lying, exaggerating or blatantly disregarding the trust someone put in you to tell you anything in the first place.

People put on the nostalgia tinted glasses and remanece about the good old days of law breaking in the name of a rivalry then turn around and blow up facebook about how terrible kids are now lol "All these kids cursing and sagging these days. Back in my day we destroyed public property like proper citizens!" -
Everybody expects to get tested in the playoffs, thats why you schedule tough opponents during the regular season to gain the experience…………
-
Condition wise? Yeah you lose the conditioning but the experience is valuable. This is really similar to saying that prior years of varsity experience doesn’t matter because the games were played weeks or years ago. Gaining that experience from tough games can be important to a team.
-
being tested in the preseason is still better than being tested for the first time in round 4 of the playoffs.
-
There is a reason this is so rare. Its extremely hard, requires near perfect execution on the drop and the contact with the foot. you would spend 5x the amount of practice time on this vs. teaching a kid to toe poke a field goal.

Good catch, I forgot that caveat in the rule. The crew did a good job, that is why we should leave it to them.

There is a chapter that runs out of Nacogdoches.

They missed that too I guess? I don’t know what else you want said bud, join a chapter if you’re this upset

Both parties are partially right here. Looking at the video the penalty is offensive holding on a play resulting in the time continuing to run. The flag stops the clock for penalty enforcement (10 yards and replay the down) to be restarted on the "ready for play whistle". This is an offensive penalty and carries a 10 second run off unless the offense uses a timeout. By these accounts the game should have ended due to the penalty. The crew messed this up. But you can only go by what actually happened so.... 3rd down: WOS snaps as soon as the ready for play whistle is blown and spikes the ball. This play takes 1 maybe 2 seconds tops leaving 1 second left to snap the ball for 4th down. The true game time is held on the field with the back judge who would be prepared to stop the clock in these situations. So with greater than 0 seconds left on the official game clock WOs is able to play 4th down. If the clock operator makes an error and runs it to zero it should be corrected but in all honesty as long as the coaches and players know there is still time for a play to be ran then the scoreboard doesn't matter. In this case it seems it was easier for the official to call it an untimed down instead of taking 1-2 minutes to get the operators attention to put 1 second on since there is only time for 1 final play barring a defensive penalty. Fans may be upset and not understand whats happening but the coaches appear to be informed of whats happening
