  1. This is a statement win right here, way too physical for Rouse.
  2. Home side is filling up quick
  3. If Faircloth was still at PNG and Joseph was in Nederland, the Bulldogs would be playing Rouse tonight. I said what I said. Coaching is everything at this level.
  4. When kids start moving across the tracks to play football they’ll be forced to make a change.
  5. If he’s not doing the job, fire him and replace his ass 🤷‍♂️. There’s no lack of talent so if you know the problem…fix it.
  6. We should be able to dominate the LOS. Rouse runs a 3 man front on defense, they range from 215-250lbs. Offensive line ranges from 225-260. We should be able to lean on them for 4 quarters and wear them down.
  7. They also have a different head coach. Jamaal Fenner built up the program but left after last season and is now in charge of High School relations for the University of Texas.
  8. Randle will have their hands full with Belton.
  9. Exactly, Huntsville is a bad matchup for them. Huntsville’s record isn’t indicative of how good they are. I watched their game vs Lake creek on YouTube last night and they dominated that game but gave it away at the end.
  10. I don’t think LBJ is nearly as good as they were last year. Huntsville is gonna be too physical for them IMO.
  11. I like to use the old Mike Tyson quote in relation to these playoff games. “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth”. We have this identity of “we’re gonna line up and pound on you for 4 quarters”. From what I’ve seen out of teams in that area of the state, they don’t play that type of football.
  12. They had a good win vs Belton but not much else really sticks out. Bad losses to Pflugerville and University. If PNG can go out and establish themselves as the more physical team then we should win. Different areas in the state play different types of football. Coach Joseph has transformed this team into a blue collar, punch you in the mouth team. They’re very well coached and the game plans are always simple which allows the kids to play fast. That’s a good recipe for success at this level.
  13. What’s your point? I seriously doubt “getting in” was the reason for the question.
  14. Because typically the home side seats more fans and PNG travels, makes sense
  15. They’re talking a quarter inch tomorrow. Supposed to pick up late tomorrow night after the game. It’ll be fine. Not like MCM last year
  16. Weather will play a factor in all of these games Friday night. Whoever can control the LOS and run the ball should win.
  17. If Nederland can slow down the Lake Creek RB and control the LOS they have a shot. Gotta remember, some of these other districts put up all these points but they don’t play anyone. Slow the game down, make it ugly, force a couple turnovers and you never know.
  18. It was 35-7 at one point. Brenham went up 7-0, then PNG went on a 35-0 run. That game wasn’t as close as the final score indicated
  19. Nederland could keep it close. If they can win in the trenches and control TOP they have a shot. If Lake Creek looks at the record and thinks they have it in the bag, they may be in trouble. Remember last season when they were blowing people out until the met FBM and were humbled real quick. Different areas of the state play different brands of football. Hit ‘em in the mouth Dogs
  20. He was cleared 2 weeks ago to my knowledge, probably just being safe with him. I look for him to play, in what capacity remains to be seen. I’d assume he would be in for the jumbo sets at QB like last season. Connor Bailey has been playing great since Shea went down in week 3. I predict you’ll see them use him similar to last season. 80/20 split from WR to QB.
