  1. Go bulls.
  2. Bellville 8 Columbus 6 columbus ran the clock the whole time. Bellville only got the ball in the second half after stopping Columbus on the opening drive of the second half with 3 mins left in the 4th quarter. Never seen anything like it. Complete bs.
  3. It’s early. Madisonville is already shying away from those hits they were making early on defense.
  4. That was quick.
  5. damn, thats tough for Hitchcock. They were setup to make a run in the region.
  6. Columbus roars back to tie it at 30 in the final 4 mins after being down 30-14. Hitchcock scores a td on their first possession in OT. Columbus QB completes a ridiculous TD pass into double coverage on 4th and forever from the 40. Crazy game. Congrats Hitchcock.
  7. Wow, what an ending! hitchcock 37 columbus 36 in OT with Hitchcock knocking down a Columbus pass for a 2 pt conversion to win.
  8. Columbus 30 Hitchcock 30 2 min left.
  9. Think first half against Giddings last week.
  10. Bellville JV lost 35-6 to A&M Consolidated’s A JV team. Was supposed to be their B team but I guess they didn’t want to risk a loss. Not bad going against a school over 3X your size. Giving them two cheap TDs by hiking over your punter won’t fly no matter who you are playing Bellville was supposed to play Giddings, but they forfeited after having to move kids up to Varsity including their QB due to injuries.
  11. I think Columbus wins.
  12. Score ended up 63-20 Bellville. I was surprised by how much La Grange ran their QB. It also seemed like the La Grange varsity offensive line was almost smaller than their JV line. Bellville has given up yards against the pass this season but it seemed like La Grange went away from it. Sealy took Bellville to overtime throwing it all over the field. Was this a case of a head coach trying to showcase his son or what?
  13. JV was like 49-20. La Grange had a receiver that towered over everybody but they didnt target him much. They do put the ball up in the air alot but that led to 3 interceptions by Bellville on defense. That slot-T passing offense got some good numbers, too.
  14. If Killough is healthy in the playoffs, Sealy can do some damage until they run into a team with good team speed. If he gets hurt and they have to play Finley, they’re dead meat.
  15. You live by the pass and you die by the pass for Sealy. Bellville’s rushing offense was neutered by penalties and a stout Sealy defense tonight.
  16. Getting chippy.
  17. Killough if healthy is easily the best QB in the district. He just has to overcome a head coach that doesn’t know how to protect him.
  18. Competitive game so far. Let’s see if Sealy can hold up against the Slot T in the 2nd half. That’s when those 2-3 yd gains turn into 8+.
  19. Agree. Hell of a non district schedule with Celina, Hitchcock, and Columbus. Better put the wood to Sealy.
  20. Rigdon makes Columbus extremely dangerous on offense. Very tough runner that waits and then puts his foot in the ground and turns up field. Ran through tackles. QB Schobel was as advertised, but LB Schobel was the MVP in my opinion. Columbus DL did what Celina did and got under the Bellville OL and cut them to create traffic in the interior and slow those plays down. It doesnt help that Bellville does not look clean in the backfield: running into each other, almost fumbling numerous times on handoffs. The loss of Hood to give a break for Murray is evident. Bellville's busts in the secondary were brutal. Its not like the DB was outran, they just weren't in position to make plays. Pretty interesting strategy by Columbus by adding coaches with Varsity kids (and one with D1 offers to the roster for this run with the Schobels.
  21. Bellville had to feel good putting that TD on the board late in the first half. Need to get that slot T rolling. Celina doing a good job of creating traffic at the line. really great Non District game.
  22. I understand the situation around it, but maybe i just read too much into the way he was asking it. Apologies.
  23. Why act like such a turd over a scrimmage and a kid’s first taste of varsity action? What are you trying to prove here?
  24. which one is the other potential loss to hit the Floor?
  25. interesting. hadnt heard.
