To be honest, I think our rep in Dallas is kinda up for grabs at this point among all the teams mentioned above, but I don’t see anybody from 3 and 4, that’s gonna compete with Carthage n Champuonship? But a lot of water going under the bridge before we get there. All fun

Was told, OL played best they played this year, running backs struggling. Hitchcock safeties and Line Backers, reading the run, and coming up to stop. Hitchcock only weakness was there blocking , there skill players were able to overcome it
-
Game could have been closer, take away turnovers, could have easily been ahead at half, but these teams play 10 times and Hitchcock wins 10 times. Heard from coach that watched film, Tigers played better overall than they thought
-
I’d play with two fullbacks, 2 Moris brothers, and throw the hell out of it.. they can block and catch. Lol
-
I’m guessing # 3, and 60 , out this week, and 2 limited. Time will tell. Team is banged up physically, but still fired up to play, nothing as bad as after Seally playoff game last year.

Don’t think they have much choice with the way the dates for that are set, cause the community is involved from what I understand

4A D2 #3 Bellville at 3A #6 Hitchcock Thursday
old guy 71 replied to BBfan061's topic in High School Football
The key for Bellville is to keep the ball the whole game, worst thing that can happen is if Bellville scores too fast.Lol -
Tiger coaches are saying this will be the toughest game so far, whatever that means?
-
Of coarse, just like my wife telling me how to drive. lol. But to answer his question, good HS coaches fit the system to the talent , not the other way around.
-
JMO, but I think it's good to be able to get under center in certain situations. QB sneak for one. It's almost impossible to stop in Highschool. But if you never practice taking snaps, it's hard to do just for one play.
-
It's a big equalizer when your playing a team, that has a lot more numbers, and very Athletic, and early in the year it's still very hot. Tigers have several key players playing both ways and special teams.
-
I heard when West Brook gets off the bus, they look like the Dallas Cowboys coming to town? loaded with Athletes. Is this correct?

Slober knocker

Silsbee (27) @ Little Cypress-Mauriceville (21) - FINAL
old guy 71 replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
LCM fans hang in there, your team will win your district. Turn overs happen, penalties can be corrected. Trust me, Tigers feel fortunate to leave there with a win. -
zero penalties last week
-
nothing wrong, just explains the racial demographics a bit.
-
I'd have to look up LCM, but I dont think Silsbee demographics are much different than LCM, HF, or even HJ. Silsbee in the last few years has done a pretty good job of getting skill kids to stay in the program, but they still have a few that go straight basketball. This day and age, as close as all these schools are to one another, it would be real easy to loose athletes to other schools, if you didnt sell them on your program. Silsbee doesn't have the athletes Jasper and WOS have. A big part of their students come from Caney Head, and that ought to tell you something.

Just having a little fun here with the State trips ,by kicking the Dog. PNG is the boss for now I'm afraid, and I dont have a clue about Hitchcock. LOL
-
This might be the only winnable game for Tigers till second district game. They get Nederland next, and their the next 5A div2 state champions, then West Brook, and who knows there, loaded with numbers, then Hitchcock , next 3A div1 state champion, then H F, the predicted District Champion. Dont be easy
-
This game is a toss up. weather will play a big role I'm afraid. Tigers first road game for these young players might have an affect. who knows?
-
was told ,there is couple freshman, that are good, but not mentally ready for varsity, mayb later in the year? I'm just guessing here, but they will limit the Def reps for Farr, to help him b stronger at running back. The issue is, they throw the ball a lot, and Farr is much better pass blocker than Gaines, the running back is key in pass protection. Gaines is really good on Defense also, especially when they start playing spread teams.
-
Nederland ,probably closer than would be if played later in the season
