1st half highlights (about 6) are now on youtube search for.... toupsgraphics enjoy! Will try to have the voice over highlight video done on Wednesday evening. Been falling behind this year (teaching 7th grade math, 8th grade math, prealgebra, and algebra each day, as well as making the preps for each lesson), it is a lot of work, but man do I have the GREATEST STUDENTS IN THE WORLD! Will also try to update the Jack in the Box pictures this week. WAY TO GO BRONCOS! ALWAYS BELIEVE!
I wish I could get Youtube to work at work! I want to see a replay of that first TD by Payton- I was so focused on watching him I missed some key blocks I am hoping you caught on the video. Can't wait to get home and take a peek! Thanks for all the work you put into this! We all appreciate it very much!
I read on another post that a couple of the players were injured (N.L Hines and one other). I don't want this to turn into gossip, but I was wondering how they are recovering and what the extent of their injuries were.
No gossip here....straight from the horses mouth. N.L. Hines and another player (could have been 2 others but I don't remember those details) came across a vehicle accident where a truck had flipped and caught fire trapping a lady inside. The guys were trying to get her out of the vehicle and ended up having to break the window with a rock. They grabbed her and pulled her out but N.L. received burns while doing so. He was bandaged and did not play during the Vidor game but said he will be back this week. Now I believe Aaron Jenkins was one of the others there but I am not completely certain of that and not sure if he received any injuries or not- the only thing I am sure of is what happended to N.L. because I saw the bandages myself and the person I was with talked to him at the game.

Hey guys I'm from Angleton. I'm not here to start any bad tension I'm here to talk football like this forum is meant for. But Angleton is really looking forward to next weeks game between this winner. I know they have to get by Jones first but I honestly don't think any inner city houston school is gonna win this week. The only team that has a chance is Yates but they're playing a really good el campo team. The only thing with Angleton right now is they're sufferring a few injuries one by the star QB and they're biggest linemen in weight. So that's why I'm hoping if they can get out to a big 1st qrt lead. They can sit these 2 to get ready for next week. But last year Angleton faced Jeff Davis (another inner city houston team) and they were 9-1. And angleton had a 41-7 lead at half time. The competition that the inner city schools isn't very good. But like I said I'm hear to talk football and answer anything y'all wanna know.
What do you know of Brenham ? I've looked all over the place for game footage and can't find anything. Do they still run the spread ? etc.... Just looking for info on em.
There used to be some footage on Youtube as I recall watching a few videos last year when we were about to play them. May want to give that a try. I also recall the twins....suppose to be a fast duo that was also suppose to give us fits...as I recall, we handled them pretty well and really the only thing that stands out about either one of them was their mouths because of the trash talking they were doing but other than that I don't recall anything spectacular. Wish I could be more help but if I come across anything I will post it. Good luck man. I will be checking in on the game frequently!

I was on the 50 yd line and looking both directions it looked full. I was sitting with a guy who played for Sterling years ago and he and I both thought it looked full. And I was drinking soda pop! ;D
I sat on the south end of the visitors side- had plenty of room to stretch out and choose whatever row I wanted. PNG had more fans in attendance but they also had a much larger band that took up nearly an entire section of the home side from top to bottom- much larger than the BH band/ dancers, etc who were kind of scattered throughout the visitor's side. I would say PNG had around 1,500 more fans there than BH had when you account for the space PNG's band/ dancers took in the stands!

A few nice thank you's may be in order, but let's wait until the facts are known. It would be sad to think a coach would stoop so low as to not allow another team to accommodate it's fans in a comfortable manor!
Wait just a minute! Since when is it ANY head coach's responsibility to accommodate the opposing team's fans?!?!?!? Unless they have changed the rules, these sites are decided one of two ways: 1. mutually agreed upon location or 2. a coin flip. Based upon that, either PN-G's coach agreed to the Aldine stadium or he lost a coin flip. If #1 is what happened, then you should be e-mailing your own coach. If it was #2, more power to the Brenham coach. He is obligated to look after his team (and fans) not the opponent. That's the way it's been done in the 40+ years I've been watching Texas high school football.
Thanks for that explanation....that is exactly what I thought. Hopefully no one actually emailed that coach!
Great game by Barbers Hill. You guys really made PN-G work hard for it. Met some very gracious folks from Barbers Hill while at the game. Thanks for a great match-up!!! SCALP EM INDIANS!
And I would like to mention the PNG crowd- WOW you guys packed the stands....you are the first team I have seen that I can honestly say has a fan base that matches or quite possibly exceeds that of the Broncos. I was impressed for sure. Congratulations on your win and best of luck in future rounds. -
First time I've seen PNG was tonight. IMO they are a solid team, well coached, have a good selection of plays, play very good defense, Harmon is solid, but lack the game breaker. The defense really stepped up in the second half and PNG was definitely the better team, but they let BH hang around. Being that I've only seen them this one time and all the hype I've heard, I wasn't as impressed as I was expecting. Sorry PNG fans. Maybe they will prove me wrong. Good luck next round.
I agree with that assessment. It was my first time to see PNG as well and they played a good game, and more importantly got the job done, but it was very different than I expected based on everything I have heard. Never the less, you still got the job done so congratulations for that and best of luck!
So, any word on the location of the Dayton vs. Waller game? I think that the vidor stadium would be a great choice. That way all the 20-4a fans wouldn't have to drive a long way to see what a football team looks like. The game is only a couple of hours away....time to turn up the heat.
Great suggestion!!! I'm game! GO BRONCOS!!!

Just gave him another vote! Enjoyed the game last night- BH gave um a fight all the way!
