Hey thats okay, they all worry me! But how cool is it to be worried about a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP game!!! SS has some great athletes and a very good team no doubt. But so do we. Irony has a funny way of working itself into the big games. Ala a field goal to win the semis. Who would have thought. So look for more surprises in Alamodome. After the Friendswood game, I thought the defense might be our downfall this year. But now, it's our savior! Look for the defense to make a key stop or a big play to win a close one. Dayton Broncos win 42 - 35! Wow...I do believe our predictions are exactly the same!!! Can't wait- 16 hours and counting.....

Also a friend in San Anton will be there on the bronco side- he was born and raised in Dayton. And some friends in Johnson City will be there supporting the broncos.

I saw some Barbers Hill folks last night and they are heading to the Alamodome in the morning.....not sure what color they are wearing but they will be cheering on the Broncos for sure

Channel 13 is suppose to cover the 3 local team state championship games on Sunday evening- can't remember the time...but they are also going to announce the MVP of the year. They are going to do a replay of it on Monday at 8p and 8:30p according to the sports coverage on the evening news tonight. They did a brief review of the 3 local teams playing this weekend before announcing Sunday's special. They also mentioned they will have coverage tomorrow night.

Good footage indeed but there is one problem..... the outcome would have been very different had the other side had on purple and white I don't think so, Coach Owens doesn't really like to run the score up on anybody. OMG...one of my favorite memories of the season was the first time I saw him standing beside Cody on the field reading the play....OMG that little dude throws off the entire defense.....they have no idea where the heck he is when he gets the ball ;D

Sounds like Dayton's season....after half-time it has been an entirely different game for pretty much most of the season.... I have to disagree with you on this one.. I think it's going to be a close one. I don't think there will be more than a few points difference.

If you look.... #4 has 2000 rushing yards.... WOW.. More than any Bronco... You're right about being without Tyrik, we wouldn't have made it outta the second round.... Where is dayton without #7.... .....in the playoffs against LT (see 2007 season records)....I borrow the words of fellow posters "you walked right into that one".....

Nope....your wrong again. The only thing that situation has to do with anything is the way the remaining members of the team have stepped up and played. I really don't think that situation has anything to do with anything....they did it, they got punished for it (adequately so, I might add) and we have moved on without them...end of story. The only time it is brought up is when other teams bring it up....

I don't think yall have a chance and I will continue to say that but you will never hear me single out one of your kids and try to bewittle them. Truly Classless! I bet youe Momma is proud! Uhhmmm...not all fans behave that way! I have not singled out any player on the SS team, nor a player of any team Dayton has played EVER! I personally would never behave that way because in the end this should be about the accomplishments these kids have made and as far as I see it both sides belong where they are.....now, with that said, I would like to point out that there have been some SS fans that have singled out some of our kids and really made some horrible comments so I think the point you are making here really goes both ways, unfortunately- sad, but true...

Dayton: No titles, no appearances. Like the 5A DI title game, someone is going to win a state championship for the first time in this weekend's 4A DII matchup. Though Dayton has 23 playoff appearances to its record, this season's postseason foray marks its 12th in a row, something few schools can claim. The Broncos can thank some long-awaited stability for that, as it had 13 coaches from 1961 to 1996. That seems like a long time, but when you compare that to the histories of coaches like Eddy Peach at Arlington Lamar, it suddenly seems like a coaching carousel. Anyways, since current coach Jerry Stewart took over in 1996, the Broncos have made the postseason every year, and with QB Cody Green and WR A.J. Dugat playing such good football, 2008 might be the year when Dayton finally breaks through. Sulphur Springs: No titles, no appearances. So far, Sulphur Springs is 0-for-20 when it comes to making championship games -- 20 playoff appearances, no title games. That's long odds. But with brilliant QB Tyrik Rollison, one of the state's best (actually, I think he's the No. 3 signal-caller in Texas) under center, the times are a'changin' out east. Where the program goes from here is anyone's question -- over the past five seasons, the Wildcats have been about as up-and-down a team as you're going to find -- three-loss seasons in 2003 and 2004, then a 5- and 8-loss season, then back to a two-loss one in 2007. This school hasn't actually maintained any forward momentum since the stretch from 1990 to 1995 -- could this year be a springboard back to dominance?

I heard they had one of the best practices they have had all year and they are more than ready for Saturday. I think defense is going to be the key to winning this game....defense needs to be top notch with no mistakes. We also need to watch the penalities, obviously. Its going to be one heck of game...can't wait.

Umm come back on Sunday and lets see how you feel about all of this.....trust me...its not just Gilbert. They are the best and although I agree with you on everything else you say, you just have to see them play- they are in a league of their own- trust me on that. You will see for yourself come Saturday.... I don't know much about LV really but I know tons about LT and have seen them play- they dominate and make it look incredibly easy- you won't know what hit you!!!
