So who stood out? Who were the 4 qbs that played and what did each excel in? Wish I could've been there but this thing called work seems to get in the way too often.

How about the other junior game on than Nederland? Who won?

Ya it takes a whole team effort.  Lots of standouts on the team that are Good quality players.

Nederland gold lost to WOS blue on a last minute TD 13-6

Ned gold wins 19-6

Ned black won 35-6, Ned white lost.  Great effort by both.

Nederland looked good against Dayton.  Always hard to tell if thats from Dayton being young or Ned having talent returning.  Anyhow, QB looks good.  He once again looked good throwing the ball and running the offense.  The running game looked alot better this week.  They really picked it up.  I thought our new Off Tackle looked alot better tonight.  Seems to have made improvements.  Defense... up the middle is a stone wall.  Thats nice to have those 2 Def tackles.  Defensive backs looked good too, saw improvement there.  Only issue I saw was our inside out pursuit.  Thats been an issue in years past as well.  Daytons long TD should have been stopped behind the line but after that nobody else was there... he torched everyone around the corner.  Im sure the twins will be trying to get there alot next week.  Overall Ned looked good and looks to be ready for the season opener. 

Who did Dayton scrimmage first week?  What was the stats like in that game?

Good call jake.  I agree, and I was impressed with last week... just keep building on that and try to fill in the holes.  Get some more valuable experience for the guys just coming up to varsity and polish up the veterans.  It's almost time for the real stuff!

Where did you get Thursday from?  Schedule I saw said Friday.

That's very possible.  Always hard to judge teams in the first few games because teams change which changes the competition. 

White looked good.  Seemed a little nervous and tentative at first but soon took command and threw good passes.  Running game was stagnant until later in the game when the WOS D seemed to wear out.  Defense looked good, still a work in progress but that middle wall sure looks formidable!  I'm happy so far. 

No, and I wasnt one of the moms or grandmas from the gold team screaming and cussing and trying to fight everybody either.  Just an innocent bystander.

Did not watch the QB play much, but I hear he looks sharp.

Practice started this past Monday like most other schools that didn't do spring training.    Mayfield did standout!  Along with a handful of others

I was there and they looked good.  Shotgun alley had lots of big hits and good competition.  Several standouts although returning starters didn't seem to participate in this part. 

A strong running game, strong defense, and great coaching.  Should keep Nederland in the hunt for another DC and possibly State.

And thinking about his future education and job is very mature and important.  After all, very few college athletes are able to ever make any money off of sports.

So now that this big game is done... who won?  who stood out?  any new comers look promising?

No I knew about it from when I was in the program.. not much has changed.  It just gives people an idea of new starters and any returners that may have switched positions.  I knew exactly what it entailed and was just curious.  I never mentioned everyone knowing about it, in fact had to bump my post to even get a response.  Id say that means hardly anyone knew about it.  Quit making a mountain out of a mole hill and just wait for your beat down to continue jaguar
