Anybody can "hang" with Nederland ... Too bad most just can't beat them.  Hopefully SC will get that chance in a few weeks and we can all see

Nederland will never be a team to have dominant stats, no matter how dominant they are.  They always let up and show sportsmanship  in the later quarters.  Neumann himself come out and said he's not always as good of a coach as "the favorite" or with a big lead.  Nederland's stats rarely tell the story of the team you will face.

Any playoff scenario time/locations for Nederland/Dayton?

Did not get to make the game tonight but on the radio Dogs sound good!  How are they looking tonight?  I realize they are winning but are they looking sharp? Playoff ready?

Same thing for high school too really... You play against teams all year in district then come playoff time they all of a sudden need to be split up because of school size? 

Or even a step farther... Regardless of what central plays like... If Nederland plays like they can, and have most of the year, who wins?  Easy call for most folks.

I noticed jones was a no show the whole game, plays like this could be the reason!

..Mitchell is dangerous and he will make some big plays...Central likes to take shots downfield and they may be able to have some success here but that also plays into two of Nederland's strengths which are pressure from the front and the ability to get takeaways from the secondary.. PERFECT...Kimler can get another 2 or 3 picks from centerfield and the others will get a few also!  Lets get to that 20 on the year!

[/quote] Even though I'm a bulldogs fan, Ozen could go the furthest in our district thanks to the new format [/quote] Nederland could also go the farthest in our district thanks to a dominating defense that causes lots of mistakes,  a power running back that's always falling forwards, a passing game that's good for at least one explosive play a game, and special teams that make very few mistakes.  I'll take our scenario every day!

Well last year started off slow too but came around towards the end of the year.  Guess it might be the same this year

Dayton did look pretty vulnerable against a down barbers hill team ... while sc throttled the very same team

Vidor is div 1 unless central gets in-- so most likely they will be div 1

I wonder how Lamar's new guys look?  I have high hopes for their team
