Both teams are 1-1. Both coming off loses, both need these wins to keep themselves from fallin further out of the playoff race. Shepherd coming off a major beating givin to them on there homecoming by Coldspring, while splendora got beat in a good game against huffman. Game is @ Splendora, Splendora's Homecoming also. who ya got?

I think this game maybe closer than everyone thinks it will be. Huffman throws alot and is really good at it. The QB is the real deal, he's got well over 1000 yards passing already. And Passing has been been proven to be a weakness on Cleveland's D. Cleveland just needs to do what they do best and pound the ball on the ground, keep Huffman's O off the field and play solid D. If Huffman's recievers show up and they catch the ball, it could get scary for the Cleveland fans. I still say Cleveland by 7.

How can you win a game easily, but the score still be close? ???

The Coldspring Trojans (4-1) will travel 9 miles down the road to play the Shepherd Pirates (3-2). Both teams are coming off wins in their first district games, as Coldspring beat Huffman 42-14 and Shepherd beat Tarkington 57-0. This game is a Big rivalry game between the two schools and this years battle of San Jacinto County should be a good one!! who ya got? 8)

Chavez is ranked 4th in Region III. Behind the #2 state Ranked North Shore the # 10 FB Hightower and #14 Katy Tigers. Something tells me if Chavez can be even mentioned in the same breath as NS, FB and Katy, they must know how to play some football.

Army Strong Teams of Week 2 Class 3A: After snapping a 14-game losing streak a week ago, Shepherd improved to 2-2 on the season with a win over the Woodville Eagles. On the road and locked up in a tight 6-6 affair at halftime, Shepherd exploded in the second half, scoring 28 unanswered points through a balanced offense. The back-to-back wins have been a rarity out in Shepherd for some time.

i also think Splendora wins it. They look from the everything I've seen to have a pretty good team this year, but then again i haven't seen either team actually play soooo, yeah! Splendora 21 Liberty 7

Who wins? Traditionally the battle to avoid last place, but Shepherd and Tarkington both have new coaches who are looking to turn them around! @ Tarkington also there Homecoming!! 8)

How does Coldspring look? I haven't heard alot about them. I wouldn't think they're as good as last year with the loss of Scott, but they might be. Splendora seems to be on the rise and back to winning. Cleveland is Cleveland (lol). Liberty sounds like they have alot of talent and all they need is to become more disciplined and they can start winning games. how does Huffman look? i haven't heard much on them either. but i think the two top dogs in our district might have some trouble. I think Coldsprings vs Cleveland will be alot closer this year. and i also think Shepherd and Splendora will shock alot of people this year. I think they'll be lookin for the top spot in the District as will Huffman. Liberty could shake up the standings as well if they play a good game. This years 22-3a should be exciting!

Last time I checked, everybody in Hardin blamed Villemez's injury as the downfall in that game (excuse...I think it is.) Everybody from Hardin was justifying last week's performance by stating how good Shepherd has gotten when nothing to very little has been stated about Shepherd's team on any posts (up to last week.) Another thing...the excessive stroking of the coaching staff's ego has gotten "out of hand." Beating Trinity is not something I would consider as a high mark of coaching excellence. Hardin has a stud in Villemez and not much after that. Finally, no disrespect is intended to the players of any program...just the idiots that place Hardin on a pedestal of a great program for years running when (like most programs) have strokes of good luck as far as athletes are concerned. I disagree with this, There QB was really good as was #5. They are just a much a impact on that team as Villemez. But anyway, Woodville hard tonight they really shoved it in our face the first quarter when our Offense came out a lil sloppy with the Pick 6. But, I'm really proud of our defense! the gave up 0 points in this game and kept us in the game!

yeah the winless team we gave up 69 to was caldwell. Who's extremly good, and the only reason they were winless is because everyone had only played 1 game so far and the one team they played against was the #14th ranked Bellville Brahmas, which they lost by one point in this game also. We def got a butt whoopin that game, but it wasn't by a bad team like your post makes it out to be.

You mean the same sheperd we didn't move the ball against? Good job cmurder glad we don't have to play you'll : pretty sure it was 2-1 even if u count the 2ND STRING PLAYERS and your 1st string didnt score against our first string. your 2nd string did against our 2nd D twice, big whoop. Like i said hardin faced our first stringers the entire game. so if u want to count the 2nd team scores go ahead, but your still bragging on a team that was there first time running their new offense and defense against someone other then then themselves. : you guys must be amazing. EC is going to win state this year! : Hardin had to play a much improved Shepherd team and still did better than you guys did against us. I'd gladly take Hardin over you guys anyday of the week.

Woodville looks good.

1.Villemez really wasn't on his game it didn't seem like against us. I'm almost positive he's longest run was 15 yards or so, and he wasn't getting anywhere on our D. Ya'lls passing game is what scored all the points. 2. The Game was almost over by then, but yeah was a lucky break on our part. 3. In all honesty, we all knew he wasn't out, another lucky break for us! 4. also, game almost over, but yeah lucky break after lucky break for us. 5. Don't worry to much about that, Shaw is very elusive and probably one of the fastest kids in the region, Only a junior also! 8)

Idk bout Anahuac, but we (Shepherd) scrimmaged EC and they couldn't even score on us until we put the 2nd string in which is made up of a ton of sophomores. And Shepherd has bettered them by leaps and bounds since we scrimmaged EC. I know both teams we're rusty and probably didn't play up to their potentials, but I'm just throwing that out there. 8) So before you go off on Hardin for losing, just remember that EC played us to and didn't exactly dominate either! Hardin just needs work on the defense and The O-Line, the skill players we're extremely good! Our 2nd string rb had 2 tds on you'll. against our 2nd team D also, many of which we're either really, really young, or kids who have size and potential who have never played before who are trying to learn the game. Our first string scored 3 Td's? on yall i know we could of scored 3 if we hadn't, but anyway against hardin we never took our first string out, which EC didn't manage to score against. I'm not tryin to blow Shepherd up as this great team, because we're not, we're FAR from it! i was just trying to compare the two teams hardin and EC by using the games we played against them. You'd be far past stupid to overlook Hardin.

No, that would be Shepherd, but I am not from either, just stating facts. I'm sorry to tell you even though Shepherd hasn't been very good, this last year was Tarkington's first win against us in 18 years. Yeah, Tarkington is the Laughing stock of the district for sure. Watch out for Shepherd vs Hardin this week, looks like a different team than from the years before.
