Posting because us folk from up north are under represented! Woodville - My Eagles obviously were the top team in SE Texas. Lost in the State Finals. Graduating a ton of talent - but we probably have the greatest talent pool in the Region (minus Newton). We will return a young all-everything QB who is bound to have a boat-load of offers by this time next year. Everyone was nervous about the coach cashing out for a bigger job. Looks like he's back and the future is bright. Warren - Their coach left at the beginning of Summer after turning around the program (for Warren standards). They hired an assistant on staff. 1-9 while returning most of a team that barely missed the playoffs. New coach again this year (hired the basketball coach). Rumor is the new Superintendent and AD have cleaned house (again) and now are both co-coaching the softball team. I heard all offseason how their baseball team was going to be better than Woodville's this year... they are in last place in their district now. Chester - Rolling in Baseball - struggled in football coming off a big playoff run Spurger - Thank God for basketball here.

Is this the year Warren finally gets it together? I watched them play a couple of times over the last two years. Plenty of talent. Underachieved big time.

He's a stud. I thought they were going to have a pretty good group coming back. That will hurt. Kountze can't stay out of their own way sometimes...

Distance is usually the most important factor. When two towns of similar size located right next to each other play - usually ends up with bragging rights for the year.

Why let the interim walk the week after the season and not open it up or hire by the end of January?

Warren gonna Warren. There were lots of complaints about the late opening last year and now looks like it’s happening again. Unless they already have their guy and just haven’t announced, it’s a curious move at best.

I don’t know anything about his dad. What I do know is that not only was he committed to a college. He signed with it. And changed his mind within 2 months. Can’t blame dad for that.

This kid may end up at anywhere between 3-6 colleges when it's all said and done...

What's not an issue at PNG now will eventually become one if things don't change. The USA's culture is getting pretty soft - which is why we are seeing a decline in things that are physically and emotionally demanding in this country.

I have not seen the job posted anywhere. Did hear from the community that they told the kids right after the season there would be a change. Why the wait to post?

With BH money, I wouldn't rule anyone out just yet.
