Yes, you are correct they got 2nd place team in team rankings.  Each lifter gets points depending on the individuals ranking and at the end of competition that determines what place the team is ranked.  Considering Nederland only had 3 lifters and placed 2nd as a team is impressive.  Each girl won 1st place in their weight class and  are individual STATE CHAMPS. In powerlifting team ranking is 2nd to individual rankings.  Last year the 181lb boys weight class state champ was from Nederland and since he was the only one there from Nederland the team ranking was 11th which did not change his STATE CHAMPION status.

Congratulations Robert Johnson Jr. 181 lb. division state champion, outstanding heavyweight deadlift and outstanding heavyweight total. You took home the gold for Nederland. What an accomplishment.
