1. Yes, Donnie is the one that went to Vidor, his twin brother, Ronnie, was the band director at Central Junior High at that time.
2. Just a tidbit of history for you guys, Nederland was doing the lights out at halftime show years before Vidor ever did it.  The band marched with flashlights tied to their leg.  They stopped perfoming that show when they changed out the lighting system.  Man that was way back when I was a kid watching the football games. I always wondered how they didn't burn their fingers when the twirlers used fire batons, ha ha, anyways, I remember also back in the early 80's when Mr. Todd (a Nederland graduate) became head Director in Vidor, he brought a lot of the Nederland look that way in how they marched.  Is David Johnson (also a Nederland Graduate) still Directing there?  Anyways, just add fireworks and you got a nice show.
3. tell him something he doesn't know all ready

And, we played it at their house. They have their team back, we have ours but WE'RE PLAYING IN THE BONEYARD THIS YEAR!!!Vidor 28, Nederland 17. Get some!!!!
Losing confidence in your team? Placing your win on your homefield advantage sounds a little desperate to me.  The Pirates will be ready or they won't.....when the DOGS show up at THE BONEYARD, they will be ready and looking to start District play with a win.  It's one thing to support your team, but don't make comments like that...your team reads these posts.  Show more confidence in them.  Good luck to both teams. DOGS 24 - Pirates 14
Okay let me explain this to you. SMH [glow=red,2,300]Yes we are placing our confidence in the win based on the fact that we are playing at the boneyard[/glow]. Vidor gave yall a helluva game last year and yall won in the final seconds and we expect to have the same type of game this year [glow=red,2,300]with the edge going to Vidor based on Home field advantage[/glow]. SMH.....
Well then, based on the FACT that it will be held at THE BONEYARD, I give the edge to the DOGS to play even harder.  The team will be fired up to start district and a win at THE BONEYARD will just be sweet. I stick to my original prediction of 24-14 DOGS.  Just like phunter308 mentioned, pile them bones up because those DOGS are coming over for DINNER!  Best of luck to both teams.  GO DOGS!!!!!

7. It won't be a blowout, but I do think the DOGS win by more than 7 points.  Playing in Vidor isn't going to make this game swing one way or another.  Best of luck to both teams and I also pray for an injury free game. GO DOGS !!!!!
8. Can't wait until the season starts...I am excited to see how we do this year.  GO BULLDOGS!!!!!!
9. Looking forward to being there!
10. ] Best of luck to these new coaches.
11. Your right about the traffic, they need to do something different or that could be one of the things new families might look at in their decisions to move to Lumberton. They do have a lot of open areas for new sub-divisions to be built, but once again, how do you handle the increased traffic from doing so. I personally don't see the growth potential in school enrollment...IMO.  They have been bordering dropping down to 3A for a while now.  Might be a better fit for their program if they do.
12. Ask the coaches of each team if you want to know....but I am willing to say that neither team is "afraid" to play one another....geeze  ::)
13. The last weekend of August was mentioned to me, but I am sure that is a tentative date.  They will most likely post the date here later on.
14. I personally can't wait to see how we do against Angleton.  I think that game will be a good one to see where we measure up with a top ranked team. Kinda bites that it is at their place, but if you win, it sure does make it a sweet one.  I would say other than Angletone game, I am of course, looking forward to the MID-COUNTY MADNESS game.  We play the majority of our toughest opponents this year on their turf, this won't be a problem... 8) GO DOGS !!!!!!!
15. Just want to say how proud I am of this group of girls.  You played hard and made a good showing in the World Series this past week.  It's been a pleasure watching these girls come together and play some awesome ball this season.  Looking forward to 14U. Go Blast!!!! #5
16. Nederland vs Angleton...can't wait to see how we do with them Wildcats And then, of course, there's Mid-County Madness....which is ALWAYS a fun game with our neighbors
