That's actually a fair statement from the outside looking in, your candor this season is unlike past seasons and I'll give you credit for that- maybe some of your counter parts could exhibit some of your maturity. ---- As of right now Dayton is tied for first place in the District and flying under the radar.

Hopefully Dayton will surprise some of the more arrogant fans this season were not "World beaters" like Crosby but who is. To be honest BHFAN I have no idea how this game will play out,I know the Hill is a well coached team and will be ready to play. Depends what Dayton team shows up we got as much talent as any team in the district but don't always play smart football. If we come out and play like we played Friendswood we could beat anybody in our district except Crosby. ( FW last I checked was rated 9th in state D1 and would probably beat anyone in our district except Crosby nobody can beat Crosby)

My bad - I know he was playing lights out first half - just don't remember seeing him seconding half after he came out limping in the second quarter.

What you seen in the second half was WOS best player #2 not play - was a good game though by both teams.

Rome wasn't built in a day - What you see on the surface is the tip of the iceberg behind the scenes he is busy instilling his program and philosophy from grade 1 through 12- with the ongoing influx of increasing enrollment the future is going to be bright. ( money is never an issue on the Hill )

I wouldn't put to much stock in the Magnolia loss they would of pounded any team in our district.

This will be a good game to gauge the Bronco's by. Seems Friendswood finds a way to clone themselves every season the team you saw 10 years ago is the same team you will face today , good coaching with good execution on both sides of the ball and always a play-off team .

NC had some nice speed- QB, RB, Wr's all quick ! but when WR's ran an open route QB couldn't hit them with a hand grenade . Sure he's young and will improve during the year - Good luck in your new district -

Dayton gives up 14 pts in the live quarter - one pick six and one run - for some reason they carried over 7 pts for NC from the controlled scrimmage .

Dayton scores on a long pass - receivers are going to have to get use to the heat our QB brings must of dropped 6 or seven wide open passes and left a lot points off the board - clean that up and offense will put up a lot of points this season. Starting RB( Santee) did not suit up ? he will bring another dimension to our offense.

How do you get Nederland in round 1 when they are in your district ?

The well isn't completely dry now - we have some athletes that will compete with anybody in this district with the addition of the new OC I like our chances. The QB for PNG is the only 5 star athlete in town - everybody else is on a pretty much level playing field.

I think Dayton will be the "dark horse" in the new district this season. We return the best of our skill players on offense and on defense we have a backfield that will literally lay the wood on you - I heard there will be a defensive coach change so hoping for improvement. We were competitive last season-- (except for Crosby and even had them down two TD's in the 1st quarter ) came up short in a lot of games just by not playing smart football. We should of beat the Hill but a last second missed field goal spoiled that. We had a ton of injuries last year and I know thats part of football . Hoping our HC in his 3rd season has figured somethings out and finds a acorn this year.
