1.
AH will be the starting QB next year no doubt so like it ;D Marcain will backup and play some DB / WR. The coaches are eyeing the fresh QB Bohannon but wait till the littlest McBride (8th grade QB) hits the field. [/quote Is he bigger than his little big brother !
 2.
These young men have been beastin all year and proved they deserve a change to play at the next level for a big school.  I also wil follow these young men on Saturdays... Congrads!
Good ! The Jayhawks need all the help they can get ! :)
 3.
Well five rings i have to say we got out coached and outplayed. Im not a sore loser and just to show how much of a good sport i am we will trade you quarterbacks next year.
" bronco pride"  Really don't believe your a true Dayton fan maybe from BH,Crosby or Dayton's backup QB family member. How do you figure we got out coached ? LM was loaded with wall to wall 5a talent and we were only down 6/0 at half from a hail-mary pass. This game was closer than the score with a drop pass in the end zone a coulpe of other red-zone blubbers and this would of been a good one. Hat's off to LM they have a great team and earned the win , but it wasn't on our QB and coaches .
 4.
Just wanted to say thanks to the broncos for another great year. I think next year should be another easy run through discrict. I know we have alot of holes to fill on the defense but im sure they will be filled as usual. Im hoping we can find somedbody to compete for the quarterback position it would be nice to have someone at the position a little bigger and more athletic. With Mcbride and jak at running back and all our receivers back scoring points should come easily. Thanks again for a great year.
Great year Bronco's ! Thanks for all the hard work and dedication we as fans were lucky to wittness such great football ! Good luck to all Seniors - thanks for the ride - you will be missed ! I like our QB  A.H. ( remember Livingston) he's got the mental skills and arm to lead us for another deep run ! GO BRONCO'S ~~~~~~~~
 5. Good Job  LaMarque ! - Now take it to the next level and bring it home !  ( Bronco's will waiting for ya next year )
 6.
The reasons BH will win district are as follows: 1. BH has more talent returning on both sides of the ball than does Dayton. 2. Dayton is losing almost every key player, except the QB and he is not as good as either BH QB. 3. Deny is going to be a Div-1 athlete.  Townley is talented enough you could see a two QB system next year. 4. I expect Townley and/or Deny will play some defense next year in situational circumstances. 6. BH's O-Line and D-Line will be bigger than any other district team. 5. Dayton and BH will be the best two teams in district and BH will be better. Last but not least, because I have a crystal ball.   ;)
Dayton's offense will be loaded ! RB's Delesbore(D-1) and McBride will dominate  the ground (D-1) WR Fowler and friends  will dominate the air ! And the defense - well thats Stewarts  favorite pass time !  Stewart gives out crystal balls to his players instead of jaw breakers ! :D
 7.
Agreed hammerhaed.  You have finally seen the light!  Now, WHERE IS HUM398?  It's been 4 days now. It would seem he is not quite the stand up guy all his friends say he is!
I thought Humble would match up better, but sounds like FW dominated. FW alway has a good team year in year out a tribute to the coaching staff !

I was wrong about one thing though....19-4A wasn't just a cupcake district....I forgot to mention the sprinklies on top of them cupcakes! 40 something point scoring average? Dayton had a great season and just got beat by the better team - to bad xLmcoog 88 had to come down and  waller in the slop he supposedly despised.  Great season Bronco's we are very proud of you !
Oh don't even try that mess dude...I never said anything negative directly toward Dayton or it's fans. If you can't handle the fact that 19-4A is a cupcake district this year like I said it was then that's on you? How is that any different than me seeing "yea, LM is only in the 3rd round because they played HISD Schools?" If I wanted to refute all the trash I saw one by one I could but that's not my style and I don't have time to waste on such silliness. I even congratulated Dayton on their season so it seems to be you're a sore loser perhaps? Either way, I stated my opinion and it showed to be true and I don't go tit-for-tat so see ya later fella!
Please explain where in my post I am a sore loser ? I just stated a fact about you always crying foul and then turn around gloat with hypocrisy - I have nothing against the Cougars they are a great team !

 10.
Yea I like that hurry up they do.  Anyway...Dayton doesn't "turn the corner" for the big play.  Big play runs are usually off tackle and safety sucks in or off misdirection.  I'm just not seeing the so called "speed" you are seeing.  They may get caught from behind but I guarantee two or three big plays tomorrow.  Nations is also a master at setting plays up.
Have to agree - Dayton is the king of big plays ! I think LM will be like every other team we faced this year and get caught being to aggressive on defense and leaving to much space in the backfield .  And its no coincidence that "big plays" ,sound blocking, and good execution go hand and hand !
 11. Port Neches-Grove (8-4), vs. Manvel (10-2), 7:00 Saturday at Baytown's Stallworth Stadium Notes: Like Pearland Dawson-Montgomery, I think the scoreboard could get a little hot in this one. Port Neches-Groves -- which I affectionately call the zombies on our radio show, because we thought they were dead long ago -- is a very good passing team that has gotten great play out of RB Chase Bertrand of late, and Manvel's two-QB system is equally potent. PN-G hails from a competitive district, no question, but Manvel has endured more to get here. I'll take the Mavericks. DCTF's pick: Manvel 41, Port Neches-Groves 33
 12. Region III: Dave Campbell's Mag Dayton (9-3), vs. La Marque (8-3), 2:00 Saturday at Houston's Tully Stadium Notes: The news of La Marque RB TIm Wright's likely season-ending injury in round two comes as brutal news to a team that had to fight just to make the playoffs. Wright was the team's brightest offensive weapon by far, and with him sidelines, La Marque is going to have to piece together a revised offense on the fly. Dayton went through much the same thing when its star runner left in Week 10 with a broken leg. But it's two weeks into this process. La Marque is just getting started. DCTF's pick: Dayton 28, La Marque 17
 13.   Its important the Bronco's get off to a quick start early like we been doing thus far . We need to get in their heads and not let them run wild with all the beef they got . They have several people pushing 300 lbs. in the trenches and thats fine but its a fact if they have to play from behind that weight will turn into anchors before the games over  I don't care how athletic they are . This team also has a reputation of throwing temper tantrums when things don't go their way another reason to bring the heat right out of the gate. The Bronco's are starting to peak and are taking their game to the next level I see us rising to the occasion with a big victory ! Go Bronco's ~
 14. Travis Stewart: With brenham out, Manvel has a chance to do some extreme damage. I think it will beat Dayton in the regional final. Then, in my mind, it'll have Alamo heights in the finals. If it can beat that group, then Aledo.

As long as no-one says anything thing against what your opinions are you're happy go-lucky but the minute someone says something SOME of you folks think can't possibly ring true you guys fly off the handle? Now I know why a classic poster and fellow fan of mine @ LM "C4L" stopped posting over here. He always did say you guys were a fickle bunch and now I'm starting to see that SOME of you folks are. Our website is Cougar's Den but you won't find some of the silliness and the "we drank the Kool-Aid," homer kind of posts over there. Sure, we can go back and forth with the best of them but we prefer facts and not speculation, sayings or whatever whacky kind of things I've seen here to decide the outcome of football games.
This is a big board with many posters from many schools odds are your bound to cover the whole spectrum of BS from A to Z thats just the nature of the beast . Most of it is all in fun although some get carried away from time to time it all comes out in the wash. Glad to have you and your LM friends posting here and in the mean time put your hip waders on and enjoy the ride tell Saturday anyway ! ;)

 17.
I take La Marque, Dayton lost to aldine and angleton.  Which LM embarrased aldine in a scrimmage and beat el campo who beat angleton by at leat 30.  And LM D has stepped up these last games.  And Dayton has a cupcake district.  Dayton reminds me of a less athletic friendswood.  LM plays in the toughest district in the state all teams still in playoffs and could end up playing each other in quarterfinals.  One thing LM, steps up when people DOUBT them against SO CALLED DISTRICT champs.
Let me see if I can counter your HS football logic: Dayton dominated WOS in a scrimmage and WOS spanked Friendswood almost the whole game and Friedswood beat you ! You lost 3 games because your unbeatable right ! Get a grip and never underestimate the other team it might come back and bite ya --- ouch !

 20. In my opinion this is a short list of Dayton recruits that have college potential the list doesn't include Delesbour, Rip,Rheyes, Joe Duff and a few others !Football Recruiting HomeForumsLatest NewsProspectsPlayer SearchVisitsCommitsVideosTeam RankingsExperts Datyon High School Scouting Report    By Alan Zepeda Texas Manager Posted Nov 21, 2010  | More Dayton High School is always good for producing some college prospects each year. This year the big prospect is Darrian Wright who is committed to SMU. Scout.com takes a look at some of their current and future college prospects. One thing about Dayton High School is the school can produce talented defensive linemen. The defensive tackles the school produced are often all City players but a little too short for D1 schools. In recent years they have produced two National recruits and Top 100 in the nation in A.J. Dugat who plays for Houston and Cody Green who plays for Nebraska. The tradition continues as we take a look at the 2011 Class and who has a chance to be division one. Class of 2011 Darrian Wright - defensive tackles who is committed to SMU. Wright is listed at 6'2 and weighs 275 pounds. For a defensive tackle he is strong and very quick, and most of all relentless. He can drop into coverage as well as rush the passer. Wright's versatility and ability to be an every down defensive lineman makes him valuable. What separates him from the pack is that he can offer a pass rush from the defensive tackle spot. Solid D1 prospect. Xavier Baldwin- plays wide receiver and safety. Baldwin is a playmaker on offense. In the second round of the playoffs he took a pass in the flats 91 yards for a touchdown and to open the floodgates in the game. Baldwin lacks size, but he has speed, quickness and instincts. He could play D1 in the right program but is more likely to end up in D2 Justin Booth- Committed to Rice. Great frame at 6'5 and weighing 260. Booth has long arms and moves smoothly on the pass rush. He gets a good push on run blocking and uses the leverage of his big body to win the blocks. He is a D1 player all the way. Class of 2012 Linebacker Jack Choate - Okay size at 6'0 180, he is good in coverage and can play sideline to sideline. He hustles on the field and gives it all. Unless he fills out more playing at the D1 level will be difficult. He could end up being a safety on the next level if he can prove it in camps. Wide Receiver/Corner Back, Gamal Fowler - Another deluxe playmaker on both sides of the ball, he can bust a 90 yard play or grab an interception. On offense he is fast and quick and makes some smart decision running the ball. On defense he has a good sense of where to be in coverage and has the hands to make an interception. Solid D1 player Class of 2013 Safety, Jamaud St. Andre - a bit undersized for safety, he might grow big enough to meet the height threshold D1 schools tend to have. He is a natural defensive back and finds himself in the middle of plays quite often. Still has learning to do but he is promising with the only drawback being his lack of size. Guard, Matt Oubre - good size at 6'2 and weighing 260. He needs to work on his skills, both pass blocking and run blocking and has not gotten the snaps to get ready for the next level but he will in the next couple of seasons. Could be a D1 with development. And no, by no means am I scared...lol...if we win we win, if we lose we lose. I've watched LM on video and it looks like they have several running backs that can fill in for T. Wright with not to much of a drop off- looks like you use multiple backs in your offensive scheme .

Uhmmm, I wouldn't fully agree with that but Alridge (7.7 yds avg.) is a tough little scamper back with wheels who could have developed much more had he been given the reps. needed to do so. Most of the other backs can play the position but they are larger backs who come in primarily for blocking reasons. T. Wright is the complete package with better than average speed, good vision, ability to cut on a dime and size to run over and through tackles if need be. We do have others that don't typically play that position like Gasway who was a State finalist in the 100m last year could play a role if need be. Only problem there is the experience factor so who really knows?
Hmmmm....sounds familiar.....kinda like a guy named Delasbour  :( :( :(
LmCoog 88 our #1 RB J. Delasbour(11th grader) went down in week 9 of the season and was a big factor in our offense, but our back up #15 McBride (10th grader) about 5'5 150# has come in and done a subperb job for us !

 23.
Martinez struggled more because his ankle is just about broke. Green is not a very good college qb.  He just lobs balls out there, no zip on it at all.
Your wrong about that he's got one of the best arms in the business if anything he has to take some off his passes to make them catchable.  Not impressed with Martinez his career will be cut short because he's nothing but a wildcat QB and will eventually sustain to my injuries to compete.  And if he was playing with an almost broken ankle then he and that egomaniac coach are both idiots for risking permanent damage ! I can see Green becoming a great QB if given the chance !
