1. Hey Toups - liked the hat ad during half time  :D
 2. I expect this years Bronco's to turn into a full fledge animal by the time the playoffs start ! Brenhams #2 state ranking will get them to the #2 round in the playoffs and then chaos will ensue !

They will probably not even smell the endzone let alone kick a 50 yard field goal.  :D ;D Just Sayin.......
You never know, one person misses an assignment or something.   It could happen.
Is GCM really this bad?  I thought they looked pretty descent last year and would be better in their third year?  I'll be out in Wichita, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa this week and won't even get to hear my shout out from the game broadcast. Not that I'm looking ahead but 2 more games till Crosby....
Travel Man -
 4.
Isnt this the same Crosby team that let Baytown Lee score 27 on them? What makes you think they can stop the Broncos?  ;)
I  think Crosby has had several players  on the injury list for a while now and by the time they play Dayton most of them will be back so they should be alot more formidable .
 5. I can't remember in recent history when a Bronco team had 5 interception in one game and that was against a quality GP team against BH we had two or three and last night one or two.  Me personally I'm very impressed with our pass defense this year. Last year when we played Brenham I thought we would be over matched ,but when the game started it was obvious that we were just as good if not better than they were and I think this year will be the same its just a shame both teams have to meet up early.  Over all and with the kicking game we bring to the table I believe this years Bronco's is poised for another deep run no matter who gets in the way ! GO BRONCO'S ~
 6. There was a little kid, about 5 or 6 years old, sitting a few rows in front of me.  The broncos beat lee so soundly that he was actually crying and kept saying, "they're bullies mommy, they're bullies".  I thought, no little kid, they're not bullies....they're winners!  Good job guys, way to make a little kid cry.  PRICELESS[glow=red,2,300]    ~  DUDE- I'm taking for granted that you didn't wear Bronco apparel while sitting on the Lee side[/glow]

 10.
Since this has turned into a Dayton vs BH trash talking thread I did some research on my three hour lunch break. Last year in district 19-4A  Dayton finished ahead of BH in:  Football BH finished ahead of Dayton in : Basketball Boys & Girls, Track B & G, Tennis (both seasons) B & G, Volleyball,  Softball, Baseball and Cross Country B & G and Golf B & G. I KNOW this is a Football site and you dont care and it shows with the rest of your programs when you compare them to the Hill So continue with this thread and lets try to get to 54 pages because this is all the Dayton fans have on BH and if the day ever comes that BH starts beating Dayton in football this site will be a ghost town of Dayton fans like the other sport sites. Dayton fans continue supporting your football team.    The Hill is For Real
the human spirt is amazing and it just goes to show you that if you dig deep enough you can always find that silver lining -- now with a little tear in my eye I can honestly say  the hill is for real -

Looking for the crazy finish? Ask Cedar Park, or Friendswood. Want a blowout victory to digest? Check in with Sherman, or Dayton, or Corsicana. There's no in-between this week in 4A, as every game we previewed last week ended up one-sided or as a near coin-flip. Enjoy! Amarillo Caprock 49, Wolfforth Frenship 35 DCTF's pick: Caprock 24, Frenship 17 Notes: We knew Caprock's offense could move the ball, but 49 points against Frenship is more than just moving it — it's more or less doing whatever you want with it. Caprock's win over Frenship means it has a very good chance of making the playoffs for the first time in 35 years, and it scored 28 straight points in the final two frames to make that still-far away dream ever closer to a reality. Caprock QB Gerardo Ruiz threw for more than 300 yards and no interceptions, and Caprock rang up more than 300 yards of offense in the second half. Dallas Kimball 23, Dallas South Oak Cliff 14 DCTF's pick: Kimball 31, SOC 27 Notes: Sometimes, when you get an opponent backed up against its own endzone, you can more or less manufacture your own luck. That's what Kimball did this weekend, registering both a safety (first quarter) and recovering a fumble in the endzone (fourth quarter) to give itself all the cushion it would need. The fumble recovery brooke up an otherwise scoreless second half, as neither team had much success finishing drives. SOC turned the ball over four times and punted four times. Sherman 60, Sulphur Springs 34 DCTF's pick: Sulphur Springs 41, Sherman 37 Notes: If you throw five interceptions against Sherman — two of which were returned for touchdowns — and pair it with 12 penalties for more than 100 yards, the Bearcat offense will just eat you alive ... and that's exactly what happened this weekend. The turnovers continually put Sulphur Springs in a bad position to slow the already potent Sherman assault, as Thor Long threw for more than 300 yards anf four TDs (and two INTs, himself). It also didn't help that Springs' leading tackler, Tylan Harris, left with an injury and is expected to miss the entire season. Corsicana 44, Mesquite Poteet 10 DCTF's pick: Mesquite Poteet 23, Corsicana 12 Notes: Well, this one was at least close at halftime, as Corsicana held just a 17-10 lead after Poteet rattled off ten second-quarter points. But Poteet never scored again, and Corsicana got three touchdown passes out of Cameron Cutrer to go along with a run game that put seven different kids in double-digit yards for the evening. Poteet generated just 173 yards of offense to Corsicana's 481, and Poteet's only touchdown came with seconds left in the first half off of a deflected pass into the endzone. Hutto 48, Manor 0 DCTF's pick: Hutto 42, Manor 28 Notes: How well is Hutto playing right now? Manor generated just 39 yards of offense — total. Manor turned the ball over four times, including twice on kickoffs deep in their own territory. Hutto's ground game feasted on field position, graced with four drives that started inside of the Manor 30-yard line. Xavier Wynn rushed for five touchdowns and 190 yards, the vast majority of which came in the first half. Wynn blew the doors open in the second quarter, when Hutto scored 34 points and all but ended any threat. Dayton 52, Galena Park 23 DCTF's pick: Galena Park 29, Dayton 21 Notes: It would appear that the big offense out at Dayton has found its stride again, and after combining for just 41 points in its first three games, Dayton has now scored 106 in its past two. Galena Park actually led this game, 16-14, with just under five minutes to play in the first half. But Dayton outscored GP 38-7 the rest of the way, primarily behind the efforts of Jakari Delasbour, who caught a 64-yard touchdown pass, returned a kick 91 yards for another, and ran for two more (six yards and one yard), all in the final 29 minutes, to fuel the comeback. Pasadena Rayburn 37, Houston Austin 30 DCTF's pick: Rayburn 31, Austin 17 Notes: A late Austin rally fell a touchdown short this weekend, as Austin scored twice in the final quarter (while holding Rayburn scoreless) to crawl within seven. But ultimately, a turnover, 11 penalties and four punts did just enough to derail this offense into a loss. Rayburn RB Eric Aldava ran for 178 yards and two touchdowns, while QB Agustin Velasquez ran for one as well and threw for 131 and a touchdown. Despite the loss, Austin should be well pleased to have still been in a chance to tie or win late in the game, since the 4A HISD teams rarely win games outside of their districts, especially against 5A foes. Friendswood 34, Pearland Dawson 27 DCTF's pick: Friendswood 41, Dawson 29 Notes: We knew that Friendswood would have a hard time with Dawson star Marcus Vaughn, who is one of the most athletic and explosive stars in the Houston area. But Vaughn was special this weekend, even in defeat — he threw for a TD, ran for a TD and caught a TD to single-handedly keep Dawson in the game against the heavily favored Mustangs. But in the end, Peter Maetzold's one-yard touchdown run with 1:20 left on the clock broke a tie and pushed Friendswood to a win. Maetzold was all the offense Friendswood would need this weekend, throwing for three scores and rushing for the other two. Cedar Park 36, Cedar Park Vista Ridge 35 DCTF's pick: Cedar Park 47, Vista Ridge 29 Notes: Out of all of this weekend's scores, this is the one that shocked me the most — Cedar Park had been so thoroughly dominant to this point in the season that a one-point spread seemed impossible. And to think that CP could have lost! Chris Ross opted for two on a last-second touchdown and saw Brian Hogan cap the 89-yard touchdown drive with a pass to Michael Waterfield to set the final margin. Vista Ridge took its only lead of the night with a little over two minutes to play on a fourth-down one-yard touchdown run,  but Joe Washington's touchdown catch roughly two minutes later was the highlight of the night. back to news list   Email Password Remember me next time? 19.
I finally figured out what the Broncos need to really get the offense into high gear. A good ol' flea-flicker play! How about a halfback pass, or a throw back to the QB then a bomb. I can't remember the last time I saw a Stewart coached team run one. I take it he's not a fan of the flea-flicker. I personally just like saying it and typing it. Flea-flicker! ;D
With X. Baldwin in the backfield this would be an easy play to pulll off.  I also thlink it would be fun to mix the play book up a little , try a fake kick on 4th and long - stuff like that  !

 22. Comments Recommend Defense gives Broncs a nudge to wake up Yellow Jackets unable to hold on to early leads By CARL THEISS Copyright 2010 Houston Chronicle Oct. 2, 2010, 3:41AMShare Del.icio.usDiggTwitterYahoo! BuzzFacebookStumbleUponEmail Close [X]For the second consecutive week, the Dayton Broncos got off to slow start. It took just one quarter to wake up Friday night, as the Broncos scored 22 second-quarter points on to rally for a 52-23 win over previously undefeated Galena Park in 19-4A action at Galena Park ISD Stadium. The Broncos, now 2-3 and 2-0 in district play, spotted the Yellow Jackets leads of 7-0 and 16-14,in the first half before the defense took over the game. Coach Jerry Stewart knew his team would have to play well to beat the Yellow Jackets. “We knew we had to win the turnover battle and force (Andrew) Vargas to get rid of the ball,” Stewart said. “Last week we forced eight turnovers and tonight we were able to get five interceptions. ” Vargas, who came in the contest with 1,076 passing yards passing, was effective early. He took the Jackets on a quick four-play, 50-yard drive that ended on a 13 pass to Lamont Green. Green, ended the game with 131 yards on seven catches. Then the Broncos took over. Running back Xavier Baldwin, evened the score at 7-7, on a 30 yard dash on a fourth down and two play. Then after an interception by Quincy Williams, quarterback Andres Herrera found Gamal Fowler on a post pattern from 20 yards and first of three TD passes. Fowlerended the night with 95 yards on six catches. Jakari Delasbour, who finished with four touchdowns and near 400 all-purpose yards, gave the Broncos the lead for good at 22-16, after he took a short flat pass 64 yards to score just before the half . At a short intermission break, Delasbour showed his blazing speed as he returned the second half kickoff 91 yards. Dayton added four more interceptions, that preceeded scoring drives. Constant pressure on Vargas, resulted in picks by Jamaud St. Andre, Aaron Ripkowski, Baldwin and C.J. Burks.
 23. More and more impressed with the Bronco's every week what a fun game to watch and GP is the real deal for sure ! Fumbles not worried about the fumbles your going to have a few fumbles every now and then its inevitable when your playing all out were not playing flag football out there things happen .Bladwin is a high flying risk taker and most of the time it pays off sometimes it doesn't plain and simple I'll give him a fumble every now and then for the dividends he pays out. Same with Delisbor he looses focus sometimes ,but he's getting better look what he brings to the table. Really not overly concerned with the fumbles at this point in the season when your team can put up 50 big ones against a team like GP its a very good sign of things to come. We got a lot of time to work out the kinks for the post season. How important is our kicking game what a advantage for our defense getting to start the series with the other team always having to play with their backs against the wall. This team is exceptionally well balanced and hasn't reached its potential yet if I were a Reg.3 playoff team I would be very concerned with getting matched up against the Bronco's.
