I believe they will go farther this season in the playoffs then they did last season. BUT... them BRONCOS they gonna go far.. possibly another run at state.
There only run to state for Dayton this year will be to get tickets for the game ;D I'll get you a Lake Travis T-shirt so you don't stick out like a PURPLE thumb ;D :D
I talked to some of the LT people and they said that they are more than glad that Dayton will be going D2 ! :D -

BH69-1 - If you can explain this -Jayhawk (Dayton, or whomever is winning...lol) haven't a clue ? I'm in big boy ! I'm always up for a sure thing ! I hope your shrink has talked you out of sporting high-heals when wearing Bronco purple . Something about pinned up repressed frustration after loosing to Dayton every year.

From another site: Posted: Yesterday 9:03 AM Re: Cubs scrimmage tomorrow -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would never try and make any sort of prediction on what kind of season a team will have after a single scrimmage, BUT do not get me wrong, there are things that stood out to me yesterday morning. First of all on the offensive side of the ball. The offense moved the ball very efficiently down the field. I felt like they picked up right where they left off in the playoffs. I mean the timing was off a little bit in the passing game, but that will come with reps. The running game was kinda disappointing. Troy had a couple of bursts, but for the most part they did not establish the run. I watched the O line, and it seems like they were not sticking to their blocks. I am sure that will be addressed, and since 3 of the 5 linemen are back from last year, they will be fine. The pass blocking looked good, and Ty had plenty of time to go through his progressions. Other than that, the offense looked crisp, executed the WR screen well, and did a great job of keeping the defense off balance. That is what made them so good in the playoffs last year. Oh yeah, they did fumble the ball a couple of times. I am sure that will be addressed as well. When this offense gets the timing down, they are going to be flat out unstoppable. On defense, I have to say that the word is speed, aggressiveness, and talent. The defensive line looked impressive, and the linebackers are fast. They looked good for the most part. Manvel has a lot of speed, and has the same offensive concept as Angleton. They run the spread, but they aint passing. They are trying to get to the perimeter with a blazing fast QB. Their QB broke one long run, that was called back by a holding penalty, and they had a couple of other runs, that were sprung by cutbacks, and poor tackling. Manvel did not really seem to have a passing game I would consider a threat, so I really could not get a read on secondary play. Round Rock Westwood will test that secondary next week. This team will be fine. They just have to stay focused, and improve every week. "Whatever it Takes in 2010"
Did the kid that signed with Rice play? If so, how did he look? I think Booth may be the last name.
You can't miss him he towers over everyone on the offensive line. He's big and quick on his feet a discipline player that takes care of his assignments did a good job of protecing our QB.

WOS has a solid team looked like a carbon copy of last years team. Some big kids in the trenches linebackers and secondary took care of business for the the most part until our running back got a step on them a few times. WOS QB good runner with good arm was running for his life alot but still managed to get off some good passes that his recievers managed to drop alot, but did complette some long ones and our seconary neeeds to work on that. Over all a very good team should make a deep run in the playoff's. - Just as I suspected the Bronco's are off to a faster start than last year . Our RB is blazzing fast and has good hands ,but runs a litlle to srtaight up when going for short yards up them middle he got horse collared(no call) once and it looked like a bad injury ,but shook it off. Half way through the third our skill players set out and the young backups came in took over where the others ones left off really not a whole alot of differents between the two. Our defense is "bad" and I mean that in a good way going to be a fun year - GO BRONCO'S ==
i think bh will have a hard time making the playoffs and may not. dayton will, but they cannot be as good as in the past three years. injuries will make a difference as always, but if all healthy, dayton goes out in second round and bh never gets there to find out.
If Dayton isn't healthy they still make it past the second round ! We have a elite coaching staff and with this group of talented sophomores they will plug right in and be a formidable football machine. The kids waiting in the wings are going to be something special ! Bad news for the rest of 19a.

In 2008 it was Dugat & Green, 2009 Ploch & Franks and 2010 it will be Herrera & Delasbour (both jr's) Fowler will be a D-1 reciever (jr) and not to mention the D-1 big men Wright, Booth and Ripkowski - yes it feels good to be average again !

QB (Herrera) although still small has grown and put on 15 pounds and is slinging the ball .Made some nice long passes for TD's in fact while I was there nobody missed a pass the kid is very acurate and with our host of proficient recievers we will tear up some teams with average secondaries. X Baldwin looked great as expected and caught some passes in traffic for TD's as well as J Deiasbour never fumbled and caught passes in traffic for TD's if he runs to his potenial his running game will take this team to the next level. (scary) . Another kid ran some out of the backfield I think his name was Mcbride must of been JV last year (stocky and fast) looked good. We've got the weapons for sure and looks like were going to be off to a fast start unlike last year when it took us a few games to get up to speed. With the big men Booth and Wright and supporting cast I look for a very, very deep run in the playoff's this year . GO BORONC'S ~~~~
Sounds like the offense could be very good or the defense could be very bad for the Broncos this year. ;)
I can see where you could derive that - but you know as well as I that Jerry S. always builds his team around the defense the rest is icing on the cake ! ;) with D-1 players like Ripowski and Wright with Booth and Baldwin going both ways the defense will be solid ! -
