You are absolutely right. Britton isn't Sproles, however the last two years, he didn't get many carries even as the starter. Just not enough balls to go around. He had double digital carries maybe twice all last year. I'm sure Sproles was the focal point. You have to play the hand you're dealt. :-\
And he is doing that very well my friend, wish him luck from me and the wife. We will be there hopefully on time, be rollin in from big D. You get ole Tom to go?
I seen wos play, not impressed. When Cleveland can score that many points on them. They need some work on defense.
14 points is a lot? Cleveland has a running back that has scored about 21 tds and had 1500 yds. In my book thats a pretty decent offense.

He has had a few nagging injuries during the season, but the coaches have held back the reins for the better part of the season. If WOS is to go deep into the playoff they will need to drop the reins and pick up the whip. This kid can run with great vision! Small guys will always be questioned, but this kid has the answers. I hope someone at the next level gives Britton a chance to continue to prove himself. Great kid.
Have not got to see Gilbert run. Sherman Gilbert is more electrifying than Britton but he is a good back. There you have it. Stirred the pot. Let's hear it.

I know this is a thread about Britton I apologize about bringing up Gilbert, but he is something to see. Does Britton have a highlight tape? If so I would love to check it out. Sherman's highlight tape of some games this year is on rivals.com. He is being recruted as a WR. Good year Britton and hopefully they will go head to head in a few weeks. Would be special to to see 2 backs like that in 1 game.
Have not seen Gilbert run this year.

Agreed, I think their biggest concern would be durability. I thing he will get a shot somewhere and I wish him the best.

He was also the state power lifting champion I think 160# class. His grades are good.

CLEVELAND VS. WEST ORANGE-STARK BROADCAST/WO-S wins 58-14!

Best offensive execution I've seen from WOS this year .the oline was great and the blocking on the edges by the backs and recievers was almost flawless. Jimmy at QB seems to have his confidince going, knowing when to pass it and when to tuck it and run. Lindsey seems healthy and we know what that means and Abear is a powerful runner. Goodluck the rest of the way Stangs. -
A Question for David Henry of the Enterprise
[Hidden Content] Did I miss something? What to watch for: WO-S is on a three-game win streak after losing to Orangefield, 17-14, on Oct. 14. All of WO-S' district games were decided by 11 points or less except for the game against H-J. The Mustangs will have to be able to stop Cleveland's running game. WO-S plays the winner of Smithville and Columbus in the second round. Now I know that I have gotten scores wrong, but come on! And I am sure that the Cleveland faithful might take a bit of umbridge with that last sentence.
I saw that too, he better start doing his homework that was pretty far off. -
My EXTREMELY BIASED opinion on why we crushed Crosby
OK, last post for the night. However, I'm really enjoying this....a very long time coming. 1. Jeff Mathews and the Vidor coaching staff. Great game plan and those kids were prepared to play that game. Controlled the clock and controlled the game. Kept the twins on the sideline. Anybody attempting to hire any of our coaching staff will be met with a volley from our deer rifles (there's one in every pickup). 2. Our Offensive Line. We only gave up like 30+ lbs. per man but our execution was flawless. They have been the unsung heroes of this season. Remind me of PNG from the 70s. 3. Crosby's defensive coordinator. ??? 4. Heart. We flat out played them. They didn't lose the game, we won it. We CREATED the turnovers and frustrated the heck out of their offense. Blitzing that quarterback was the right call. Our defense has stepped up all season and refused to quit. There is no doubt those Walter kids can flat out play but our kids wanted this way more. 5. Finally and most importantly, the fans of Southeast Texas. There was 6000+ (?) on our side and it was crazy!!! In my wildest dreams I would have never expected this. The Crosby side may have had 200 max. I believe there were more Dayton fans there than Cougars. I'm sorry, but this is a playoff game and it's less than an hour's drive from here, I do it all the time. I really felt sorry for their kids. No one will be able to explain to me how you can't support your team especially if you have a child on the field. I know my Pirates felt the electricity in the air and it motivated them to play their best. Thank you again SE Texas.
There was alot of us on the Crosby side from the GT that were pulling for Vidor but sat over there because of the crowd on the yalls side. So alot of those folks were not from Crosby which makes it even worse for them. Go Pirates! -
I would rather see that 50 going to our bad goverment than going into oversea banks , were we will never see.
So they can send it overseas? To aid countries that dont need it but get it anyway.

Central players say 2-8 season not coaches fault

I have never seen so much press for a losing season, the press needs to leave these guys alone and let them start preparing for next season. I'am refering to the news paper not this site. -
I am curious why they decide to change the time?
Heard the game before them was moved.

Just noticed 7 of the 10 teams WOS faced this yr. are playoff bound.
"WOS will return 16 starters on offense and 18 starters on defense." CaChing! There is a "history" on this board of WOS having more starters than is physically possible on each side of the ball, its pretty funny, LOL. :D
And I guess it is pretty evident in the number of district championships! ;D ;D ;D
