Not really anything to joke about in my opinion. Which is why I made my post.
keep up the good work Skipper, people need to lighten up all this political correctness in scoiety is BS.
 2. Its easier to recruit at SLC than at UNT.
 3. Ball kicked in the end zone comes out to the 20, 2 or 3 plays later ball sitting on the 30 why would you have to call a time out for measurment?  DUH  (pretty sad)

 5.
Sonnier is good but what makes him better this year is that hes not the only target. Harmon #88 who i think is a junoir has made some of the best catches this year i have ever seen. Preston #12 has really turned it around this year. I wish 21 was healthy so he could play. I was hoping to see if anyone on that d could catch him.  ;D
I think they could catch him. ;D
 6. Congrats to the Jags that game was a great one. KOGT said Jags had 460yds bears had 430.

[/quot Tell me your not serious.  What coaches would leave other programs to come to Lamar as a first year program???? Come on!!!!
So you are saying that no assistant coach from another FCS school would even bother to coach at Lamar?  What if they were offered a pay raise?  If Lamar can only afford to hire HS coaches then maybe we're in for a lot of disappointments.
Alot of high school coaches make more than some college assistants.

 11.
There is a whole lot to say about tonights game but I really don't know where to start and I need time to sort through my thoughts.  For tonight I will just say that I'm trying to figure out the McNeese game in light of the last 2 weeks and what that means.  It is pretty evident that the Cowboys are not as good this year as in the last 10 or so but I think the first game we played above the level of our capabilities right now.  There are big question marks right now on both sides of the ball.  Lots of work to be done.
I would have to agree that McNeese is not as good as people thought but Lamar had alot of time to prepare for the Cowboys and alot of hype they did a good job. Now these teams know who the threats for the cards are and can see it on film McNeese had no game film. jmo
 12.
Bevil needs to learn to read defenses. It's like he's playing a video game and chooses what he wants without realizing that teams can disguise their blitz packages. Bevil had 310 yards, which is great on paper, but it's because of the huge play by Jackson. When you complete only about 50% of your plays, it shows that you're just chunking it down field and getting the big plays. As for Hussey, I agree, he should have not been benched. The team finished the game with -23 yards, primarily because of Bevil's sacks. There were only 9 rushing plays total. I think Whitten and Woodard gave up on the run too early. It makes playing against Lamar very easy. If the defense knows you aren't going to run it, they can design blitz packages to attack you.
May be a reason Whitten is not at Sam anymore, I,ve watched them play over the past 4 years and they have not been very goo when he was there. jmo
 13.

Now that there is game films on Lamar looks like people are able to prepare for them. Good luck Cards.
There's been game film on Lamar. Whitten isn't new to the SLC. Teams should be able to prepare for him based on old Sam game film and now the few games Lamar has played.
Its not the same alot of the offense may be the same but you need to be able to see the players and know who is capable of what.
 14. Now that there is game films on Lamar looks like people are able to prepare for them. Good luck Cards.

 16. Can you win state with a losing record?
 17.
Hmm...after reading GORAIDERS post...from what I READ was a QUESTION "Do they actually coach their players to do that?" Pretty sure that does NOT mean the coaches actually teach that! Read the posts people...don't try to read in between the lines or whatever you may have been trying to read. And excuses...pretty sure, NOT! "Hey, LCM, in my opinion, has a great team" ...which they do, they have a GREAT team!! And the motivation behind them in the second half was unbelievable. We, over in Raider Nation, do not know the Garrett Family, therefore it didn't hit us a hard (not saying we didn't care or pray for the WOS family, players, community so do NOT try to say that...everyone cares, all over the States) Raiders got their butts handed to them, no doubt about that. And yes, we have 4 starters out now...which is unfortunate for the players and coaching staff. And I saw the hit a Raider player took to have him taken out of the game, and probably the rest of the season, it was a nasty hit...2 players straight for the knee brace, but hey that's the way it goes! 40 was a key defensive player, read all about him so why wouldn't you want him out? And I am pretty sure that EVERYONE knows that football is a CONTACT sport and I didn't read where GORAIDERS said it wasn't but whatever...everyone on here reads and takes all these posts differently. And lay off about Raiders making excuses because walking out of the stands that night...I did NOT hear one excuse besides the fact that the RAIDERS looked completely lost! It wasn't because of cheap shots or whatever else people got out of GORAIDERS post. Raiders lost. Who cares...either we bounce back or not? And I saw where GORAIDERS said "Good Luck LCM," guess everyone missed that one too? Raider Nation wants y'all to be successful to show that y'all are a dang good team, that we got shutout by! Duh. I played against LCM for 4 years in 3 different sports and they are pretty nasty, but every team is in their own way. And for someone to post that Raiders made "Racial slurs, gouging eye balls, and the rest of the who-rah that was posted...If we want to start comparing and telling every little thing that went on that night it would take days! So both teams play nasty in their own little way, actually ALL teams do! And I am going to agree with oldtimer and the few others who ask "Why do you care so much about the Ltrain being derailed?" Where is your team? ...and spell check should definitely be a MUST on here!! There were some posts that were not legible (unable to be read) Oh, and for those of you that like to re-post the score to try and shut us up... 45-0 ;)   ...trust us, we CAN read a scoreboard, the Tailgate Party headline, and even the paper!  ;D
:'( :'( :'(
 18. There is now more and more game film on Lamar so teams will be able to have a better game plan against them. Good luck Cards.
 19.
I don't generally like to post on this, I just like to read others opinions. Unfortunately, I can't let some of the comments on this one go. I have been attending athletic events for about ten years where the Raiders competed against the LCM Bears, whether it be volleyball, basketball, football or soccer. I can say, from my experience, that LCM both wins and looses with no class. I don't understand it because I know some really great people whose kids attend school is that district and compete athletically. I have been at basketball and volleyball games where the parents have actually promoted the unbelieveable unsportsmanlike behavior of the student fans. I have even witnessed the LCM students and LHS students at the LHS gymnasium acting inappropriately. They are kids. The only difference in LHS and LCM is that I witnessed LHS's assistant superindent and athletic director put a stop to the LHS kids behavior immediately. I have never seen that from an LCM coach, whether it be football, volleyball, basketball or soccer.  Yes, we the Raiders got it handed to us Friday night. LCM played an awesome game. My only problem with the game was the chop blocking that had absolutely no other purpose than to take the LHS players out. I honestly can say that, even from my past experiences with LCM athletes and fans, I never expected, on this night, that from their players. Just unbelieveable to me, and maybe only me (I get that!)  I heard one of our defensive players say that he spent the night trying to protect his knees because it seemed their only purpose was to hit him in the knees. Do they actually coach their players to do that? Hey, LCM, in my opinion, has a great team, their guys don't have to play dirty - show some class, hold your heads high, do it like Reggie, and make the playoffs! You have the size and the talent - this could be your year! Good Luck Bears!
If the refs were not throwing flags on those blocks you speak of they must have been legal, as for class just take your whippin and move on the subs were in the game on the last score or two and sometimes ya win and sometimes ya lose.
 20. There was some tears being shed in the stands after the game when they showed the Garrett video again.
 21.
SFA needs to continue running up the score. This LU team is showing no heart. I know SFA is a far superior team and the officials are cheating, but you don't give SFA free scores. This a cowardly game play by the coaches and LU players. I can't respect rolling over like *******, get your butts kicked like a man...
You cant blame the refs on a score like that.
 22.
I think the Lumberton D is gonna slow that Bear scoring frenzy offense down a good bit tonight, not saying shut them down but i dont see them hanging a half a hundred tonight
Close to half a hundred!
 23.
I only heard it from Gary Stelly on KOGT. Never thought as a Mustang I would say this but "Get your Growl On". Let's go Bears. What a class move. My daughter who is a Mustang Cheerleader just text and said they put them on the track with the Mustang Football players.
Never been prouder of a community than I am tonight.
 24. OOPS guess they have a defense only heard the ltrain horn once think it was a completed pass.
