They have played well so far. I believe they have only given up 1 passing TD all year. The DBs have tackled very well which I think is the biggest improvement from last year.

Yes they did so the Lumberjacks will not be overlooking those guys. Unless Buna changed their offensive style, they run a similar offense as Franklin which will play into Diboll’s strength.

Haha 😂 yeah I’ve been here long enough to know who’s posts to take seriously. We are looking good right now and I hope we are able to make some program history with a deep run. I’m pulling for them Dawgs as well and I hope Jasper and Diboll are both still playing in December.

Winner of this one will get the winner of Whitney vs Lago Vista. Franklin has a solid run defense so I think Orangefield will need to throw quiet a bit in this game.

Yeah that’s the younger Gums brother. He’s a big boy! If a team lacks depth on defense it’s hard to sustain the constant pounding by the big backs from Diboll for 4 qrts.

I do like their chances in the Semifinals if they make it there. Diboll’s biggest challenge will be surviving Region 3. With likely matchups of Buna, Yoe, Grandview (if they get through Rockdale and EC), then Troy/Whitney/Crockett/Franklin/or another hot team in the top bracket, they will have been battle tested going into the Semis. I do believe Diboll will have to win 1 or 2 games passing the ball to advance in Region 3.

First off...good to see more Diboll fans here on SETX Sports...welcome! Unfortunately Trinity is a little down this year so this game should not be that competitive, but you never know. I would imagine the starters will get some good work in the first half then the offensive starters will sit the second half. Coach Mo will probably want to keep working the defense so they will more than likely play a little longer if the game gets one sided.

Diboll defense held Franklin to -3 yards in the 1st half. Regardless of how the 2nd half plays out....that’s impressive!

Yeah I’m pretty sure coach Mo and the team know that this week’s game will be a challenge and probably the most physical game of the year. It just does not seem that the Seniors are buying into the hype of state recognition and are just handling business each week. Franklin is a good team and I do think they will put up the most points scored against the Diboll D this year but I don’t think it will be enough to win.
