GABBY PETITO MISSING - BOYFRIEND REFUSES TO COOPERATE
tvc184 replied to thetragichippy's topic in The Locker Room
Millions of people watch 48 Hours and other such investigative and particularly homicide shows. They are very popular. This is no different than the other shows except it’s playing out in front of their eyes. People are simply interested. Where did the crazy boyfriend go? Is the family helping to cover it up? Are they going to find him dead having committed suicide like about 90% of the people think is going to happen? Is he going to be cornered by the police and have a standoff and a shoot out? The border is not intriguing. Everybody knows what’s happening. There is no mystery like there is in the Gabby case. -
The Democrats anointing Hillary and stacking the deck where she could not lose, created Trump. There is almost no way Trump would have won the election had the Democrats put up anybody other than Hillary but in the smoke filled back room deals, she was chosen. Trump with his obnoxious ways, created Biden. And truth be known, Covid created Biden. If Covid did not exist, Trump would have won a landslide but the fact is Trump put Biden in office. Biden will make this three in a row by likely creating the next Republican president. He probably will not even run if he even makes out his term but he is going to be so bad that he is going to drag Democrats down in the gutter. Have the Democrats had a decent vice president right now, Biden could always back out and have a chance to let the Dems turn things around however, they do not. Will the 2028 election returning things to normal with career politicians fighting career politicians? I think a lot depends on 2024.

If this was a suicide, this guy must be the most stupid guy on the face of the Earth. Let’s see, my girlfriend killed herself so I’m going to act like nothing happened, refuse to talk with anyone when they realize that she has not been there for several days and then go in hiding… all while I had nothing to do with it. -
But the drivers don’t have a dog in the hunt so to speak. They are hired by a private company just like many local drivers. Many of the construction jobs in this area have private bus companies that drive the workers to the job site like Hotard. It doesn’t matter how much the chemical plant makes, they are not working for the plant. That is the entire point of hiring a private company. They take care of all the personnel issues. You pay for a product and they are supposed to show up. As the press release that I posted above says, the city of Beaumont cannot be involved. I know the drivers want more money. Almost everybody does.

Then why hide it for several days, refuse to talk with the police when they finally find out she is missing and then disappear? -
I think that almost all deaths are something other than the underlying factor. When people die of the flu, it is not because they have the flu. It is because they have COPD, congestive heart failure and other causes. The flu just pushes them over the top which is why the elderly more often die from the flu. It seems some people contribute secondary causes as a new phenomena under Covid.
-
Maybe it is maybe it is not. In my 60+ years on this planet I have never known a person to die of the flu. I have personally known seven people died of Covid. I have known several others that were hospitalized in critical condition. Add to the fact that at a 335 million people his country, almost 100% of them travel by vehicle. The numbers are not nearly so high for Covid. There is simply no comparing automobile deaths with Covid no matter what number should I use.
-
That’s a new approach. We need to get abortions so we can keep playing sports. Let’s see a professional athlete making a couple of hundred thousand dollars a year can’t afford birth control?
-
I called this a disservice by the news media. Anybody could look at that report and come to the same conclusion that you did. In fact they practically said it by calling them Beaumont transit workers which they are not. The news media somewhat of a joke (notwithstanding some good reporters) and they never explain anything and sometimes I think they don’t know either. I have done many interviews over the years on television, new specials, print media and hundreds of press releases. I can assure you that when you talk to them they sometimes never have a clue but don’t ask anything follow up. There is no problem not understanding a situation with something you’re not familiar with but that should be part of reporting, asking pertinent questions. “What do you mean by that” would go a long way. They just put what they think they heard and it might be totally bogus. I honestly don’t think they outright lie on purpose. There just seems to be very little investigative reporting, just filling up space in the news.
-
Let’s see, about 40,000 deaths a year an automobile accidents and 500,000 a year from Covid. Yeah that seems about the same. Not to mention practically everyone travels in a vehicle but only a percentage have had Covid.
-
I found this memorandum from the city of Beaumont from back in June. It clearly makes the statement that First Transit is a contract company and the union workers are in negotiation with that company. It goes on to say that Beaumont is prohibited from being involved in the negotiation. That is because like I said, public service unions are not legal in Texas except for police and fire. Again, there is a lot not to like about the way Beaumont is run but this is not one of those cases in my opinion. [Hidden Content]

I think it is an analogy. I don’t know but I believe that Blacks get abortions far greater than their population. I believe they are 12% of the population but probably receive 40-50% of all abortions. I think his reference is, you have a group of people that are advocating for the right to kill your own people You have a group of people that are advocating for the right to kill their own people at probably 400% more than your population. I think the analogy is, the unvaccinated are fighting like crazy for the right to remain unvaccinated and be more likely to die. At least that’s the way it appears to me.
-
It is obviously impossible to know but I believe that is very plausible.
-
Those are not a city employees. Except for police officers and firefighters, it is against the law for public workers to be in a union in Texas. These are outside contract workers brought in. This is a straight up contract negotiation with a company that bid on a project. It has nothing to do with city workers or their benefits. Being media they don’t explain it very well but they dropped a few hints like the contract negotiations with First Transit. Even the bus drivers say they are Beaumont city transit workers and they are not. I mean they drive buses and they are in the city of Beaumont under contract but they drive for a company called First Transit. Their strike would be against First Transit, not the city of Beaumont. Obviously Beaumont pays the contract with First Transit but the workers are not negotiating with Beaumont. It is easy to misunderstand with the way the local media does not report anything but what it thinks is sensational. You would think the article at least starts out by saying that Beaumont has contracted with a company and the workers are negotiating with that company. But, no…. I don’t live in Beaumont but agree that there’s a lot of waste of money such as buying that building to tear down but in this case this is nothing but a private company negotiating it employees. It is sure hard to tell it from the article and I think it is put out to make it appear that Beaumont is mistreating its employee. I would guess that the actual employees have a pretty good pay package between benefits and salary.

It was IHOP. It was a pipe/sign. My partner saw the blood fly and thought it knocked my eye out. Fortunately I saw it coming about one second before I got hit which probably saved me. I tried to block it with my left arm and I guess I did somewhat. They x-rayed my hand and wrist twice and thought it was broken. It was just severely bruised. I had a bruise about 3 inches wide from my wrist to my elbow on my left arm. My eyebrow had to be glued back together in two places to keep it from scarring so much instead of stitching it up. It was an intoxicated federal prison guard that did it. At least he was until that morning.

It is painting with a broad brush but it seems to me after reading forums (which might not be a good way to draw a conclusion)mit seems maybe a majority or even a vast majority of the public has no clue how law works. Obviously everybody knows that laws exist and if you assault somebody you can face consequences or if you speed in a car you can receive a citation. That is about the end of that knowledge it appears. I am not talking about memorizing the Penal Code or certain case laws but just the function of how it works. Read any local news story on Facebook and you can see what I believe are stupid comments. An example will be, a person arrested for DWI posted $500 bail. You can almost count the seconds going by when the first person will say, I can’t believe they got one day in jail and a $500 fine for DWI, this is an outrage!! Uhhhh, that is bail. Bail is earnest money to make sure you show back up in court later which might be a year or more. There are plenty of other examples but with something so common in our lives you would think that most people would have at least a little clue. Maybe they do and I’m only reading certain people’s comments but at least that’s my impression. -

When I opened this page, one of the headlines said trust the FBI was serving a “court authorized” search warrant. I have served many search warrants and all of them were court authorized. -

You change the narrative. He stated that there are dozens or hundreds A missing persons that were possible homicide. Then you start throwing in total homicide statistic which is totally meaningless from missing persons. I don’t know if there any statistics to show it but probably 98 or 99% of people murdered or found almost immediately. Probably less than 1% of missing people turn up dead. I would call that rare. Maybe you don’t. Even the ones that turn up dead don’t usually come from a boyfriend and girlfriend traveling across several states and then not reporting the person missing for several days. I’m not sure why but it apparently it bothers you that other people like reading about cases like this and there certainly are not hundreds a year. My interest is only answering legal questions and likelihoods. -

When it’s all you have left… There is definitely an obsession with this case. The obsession why someone would worry about what someone else is reading or why they are interested. -

I think you’re stretching that rubber band beyond the breaking point. How many of those 20,000 murders involved somebody not being reported missing by their closest friend/relative for more than a week? In fact this was not a murder case probably until yesterday. It was a missing person case. This is not a routine case. There are not dozens or hundreds of them like this every year. If you don’t want to read it, don’t read it. The notion that this is common is ludicrous however. -

He might have snapped but I bet it was a well thought out snap. I mean it could’ve been a moment of rage but I think what he did was premeditated. -

No, there are not dozens or hundreds of such cases a year. There are hundreds of missing people but not when a boyfriend shows up and doesn’t report the person missing for several days, then refuses to talk with the police, etc. In probably 99% of cases the missing person later shows up at home or is later found dead of a suicide or natural causes. This is not a typical case. -
This looks like a road rage incident. It appears to me from the article (and apparently the grand jury agreed) that an off duty the trooper got in a road rage incident. The off-duty trooper it showed up at the mayors house a little while later he went to his back door and appeared to be reaching for a gun. The man shot the trooper through the door. Only going by the story which certainly could be wrong, I think the trooper face disciplinary action and possibly termination. [Hidden Content]
