And the queen couldn't beat a complete novice at politics that criticized minorities, insulted nationalities, made crude comments...... When will the Dems admit that they are the cause of Trump. They alone created him. He is nowhere near even the best GOP possibility but Hillary was so bad that 17 Republicans ran against her, knowing that she would be beat... even by the Trumpster. Who knows, maybe the Dems will make the same mistake in 2020 and throw another horrible candidate at the GOP where almost anyone will win.

I am torn on this one. It would not bother me if they allowed him to walk but it also seems kind of elitist to almost demand it with an "I don't walk if I am not in uniform". The article says that the Marines don't have any rules on it so it is not like he is violating some military code. I have seen debates on other websites where some military members were really miffed that Lowe's or some other establishment did not give them a 10% discount. They actually said so in as many words like, "They don't be getting my business any more if I don't get my discount". "My discount"? Really? That is utter nonsense. If a private business wants to give it, awesome. To demand it seems childish for a person who is supposed to be a representative of what is good and right. Let's face it, many members (likely a vast majority) of our military have never heard a shot fired in anger. Many have never left the good ol' USA in a 2 or 3 years hitch and might have been cooks. Great, you cooked 300 dozen eggs every morning for 20 months and never got deployed. I respect because someone has to cook to feed an army and he/she might have ended up in a field kitchen in a combat zone. I think they all deserve respect no matter what the service or assignment. I start to lose that respect when they start to put themselves on a pedestal. Again, if someone else puts them on a pedestal, great. I have the same feelings toward my fellow police officers that demand some kind of payment or acknowledgment of their service. If someone wants to honor us, great. To demand it is a disgrace to the badge. The article said that a nearby school district allowed a Marine to wear his uniform. He got the ovation he sought.............. Are you serving to sacrifice or are you serving to take a bow? I attribute it to his youth but it is what it is. I would respect him if they allowed him to wear his uniform. If not, I would respect him more if he followed the rules that everyone else has to follow. In my opinion.

You definitely don't get it from the mainstream media. We may not get it from anywhere but mainstream is so biased to the point of being ridiculous. I think they are relatively unbiased as long as it is not a political topic. Toss in politics and you get spin from one side or the other.

I am surprised that they even did a GSR. Results might be conclusive if they did but not necessarily.

What is Comey going to say that is so stunning? I have read his statements. Unless he comes up with something different in person, it will be complaining by the Dems for the sake of complaining.

Income is not a federal discrimination qualifier.

The Bruins might have some good fans but I wouldn't call them a cult.

I have glanced at the articles on this, saw comments on a couple of sites and some crazy stuff on Facebook. What is the big swirl about? I am going under the belief, at least publicly, that the principal might have been fooling around with one or two women. I know others feel more strongly than I do but I just don't care about someone sex life. That is between him, his wife, any other women involved and God. I know that employees, especially public employees, can bring disrepute to their employer even off duty and can be terminated for conduct unbecoming or demoted. I get it. If someone violates his employer's code of conduct and has to pay the price, I get that. I have no idea if any of the innuendo of infidelity is true. In truth I really don't care except that I would hate that a person would commit suicide over a false accusation but I am sure it has happened. To the point at hand. Some of the first comments I saw implied that it was not a suicide because of some reported facts about the case. I think that has pretty much been dispelled. It sure appears as though the principal took his own life although that is not the scandal that some want. That brings us to the current topic and all the news reports which seem like they are trying to stir up a hornets nest where one likely doesn't exist (although I could think of one). Was the superintendent rude or overbearing in his job and approach to this situation? If so, so what? I can see if this is just an attempt to get the guy out and if he is abusive, great. Fire the bum. Is it any more than that however? That is what I can't figure out. I saw the assistant principals letter and while it might well be entirely correct, again, so what? My boss is not a nice guy. Oooookay..................... Again, fire him. What is the scandal however? Are what appears to be dozens of articles and probably thousands of comments over an overbearing fusspot of a boss? If there really any concern for some criminal act or some duty to act? I don't know anyone involved and other than a news story, don't care. I feel terrible for the principal's family but from the stories that I have read, he is at least partly responsible (other than the direct fact that he probably killed himself) for the situation. Again, I hold no moral judgment against him. I see lots of comments on lots of boards about someone that will cheat on a spouse but have seen stats that tell me many of the people commenting on it, have likely done so themselves. It is wrong but who is without sin? Who is without stupid life mistakes? So here is the way I look at it. A guy in power gets too close to an employee and may have fooled around. It was either dealt with by a former boss or something new happened. The now jerk of a boss puts pressure on him to resign and he does. The principal is stunned and embarrassed and resigns under pressure. He is visibly shaken yet no one helps him. Unfortunately he is so distraught that he takes his own life. We find out that the superintendent is likely a cad and is a rude and abusive boss but likely broke no laws. Is there more to it than that? Why are there pages of articles and comments? A suicide by a public figure is big news. I get that also. Why these scandal appearing articles? OHHH.... NOW we find out that boss is rude! Wait, he is a bully! Hang on, he didn't care enough to get the guy help! Fire him as a bad hire, keep him with a suspension or counseling or whatever but do so and move on. This all looks like jumping on a bad boss. Maybe he need to be publicly chastised but is it any more than that......... In my opinion.

I agree and some states have mandatory unions where you are obligated to pay into them whether you want to belong or not.
-
Again, why should I not talk to my employer about a pay and working conditions under TX law? If the national unions gave to the GOP, would your opinion change? If yes you are a hypocrite. I no then why bring up union support?
-
I said "our" union dues. In the last TX election I listed that in our last election our police union endorsed and supported almost 70 Republicans. Where did you read that we didn't?
-
They skipped Matthew 7:3.
-
That is the way I look at it. It is not my place to condemn nor have I made any post to the contrary.
-
I don't care what sins another person commits. Do I treat them the same? You bet. It is none of my business what sins they may be committing or to treat anyone differently. I am not sure what any of that has to do with eating certain foods according to the New Testament or interracial relationships.
-
Not much on the Bible are you? Do you just remember certain parts that someone told you in order to make an argument but really have no clue about it in reality? Here is a hint, no charge. Try moving on to the New Testament.
-
Poor analogy. Eating shrimp or pork or anything else is not a sin to Christians. Tgen again, maybe you were only speaking to the Hebrews or Muslims
-
I could not find the national list but the state police association that I belong to endorsed 68 Republican state respesentatives and senators.
-
How do you know that our union dues go to the Democrats?
-
In TX there are only legal unions in police and fire and then, they aren't real unions but bargaining associations. They do have the right to organize and negotiate for pay and conditions. They cannot strike by law and by contract. There is no mandatory participation and I know several officers working in bargaining police departments that get the benefits of negotiations but do not belong to the bargaining unit. Private sector unions put out a product but they can strike without being terminated and usually have mandatory membership. In TX a strike is a sure automatic termination. I agree that the public sector workers should not be able to strike as they are allowed to do in some states, I believe mostly in the NE states. All they can do in TX is to ask for better conditions and pay and the government agency, if they agree to the conditions, signs a contact holding them to what they agreed on. The only thing the right to bargain gives is to get the city or county to at least talk about it. They aren't forced to agree on anything.
-
So rights to have good and safe working conditions go away if you work for a government?
-
Are government workers different than any other workers?

I was about to type this and read your response. The President of the United States has the sole authority to make treaties with other countries and by the Constitution, they are the law of the land. The problem is, Obama did not sign a treaty and present it to the Senate as required by law. He signed what is basically a gentleman's agreement between him alone and the other countries. It is legal but that is all it is. A non-binding statement on what he thinks and nothing more.

Because the school district cannot put you in jail for lying.... the police can.
