Hahaha…. Nice edited opinion piece. In the actual comments Trump said at least twice that it “may have” been contributed to DEI. There was no accusation about anyone on duty. Even the highly edited and redacted video that you posted, the reporter said Trump “suggested” what may have been the cause. He never claimed that DEI was at fault. If you’re going to Google or YouTube search videos, maybe you should take some time to actually find one that states what you claim. I watched another YouTube video, which I have not had time to look into, where a couple of thousand people scored near perfect on the air traffic control aptitude test, but they were rejected because they didn’t fit a required DEI profile. Basically theaccusation is, the FAA is short several thousand air traffic controllers but nearly that many were rejected because they were White males. It might not be true. If it turns out to be true, would you agree that a crisis in a critical safety position should not go unfulfilled because the administration rejected qualified applicants based on race and sex?

At least now they know what is more important. I mean, if Harris would’ve had more than $1 billion to spend in the last 90 days, there was no way she would lose. 🤔 🤣 -
Not very good with economics, right?

👍🏼 ANYTHING the Supreme Court does can be later overturned by the Supreme Court. You could actually make a statement like, “The Supreme Court could overturn their own decision” and paste that at the end of any discussion. The likelihood might be 96% against it but… “they could….”. I would welcome such a ruling. I think the odds are stacked against it. Maybe the 6 conservative justices will change it.

And to make sure of the understanding, if a caller says somebody slapped him on the face, and it left a red mark and a slight scratch and another caller said he has a bloody nose and a blackeye, those are both assaults that could be prosecuted by the district attorney and state law requires a police report. The red mark and scratch might seem minor as compared to the bloody nose and black eye but they both assaults with injuries and require a police report. The difference between minor and not minor is an injury no matter how slightly injury is. If a caller tells the dispatcher, my ex-girlfriend‘s current boyfriend came over and told me to quit shopping at the store where she works or he’s going to beat me up and he left 20 minutes ago. So no injuries and the disturbance and the suspect are gone. Get online and file your own report and probably meet after about a week with the city prosecutor to see if they can issue a warrant or if there’s enough probable cause for an arrest. There is really no need to tie up a police officer to pass on the exact same information.

I don’t work for BPD!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 It’s really not hard and much ado about nothing but it sure has people up in arms. Texas Assault (unlike some other states) is kind of an all inclusive law. What some states call battery, Texas calls an assault. A battery in Texas starts your car or runs your cell phone. Levels of Assault (not Aggravated Assault) in Texas are a threat like I am going to kick your butt. Also an Assault is an offensive contact that the actor reasonably knows will be offensive or provocative but no injury. An example might be patting a waitress on the butt or poking a person’s chest while arguing. These are Class C offenses or the equivalent of a traffic citation. So if a person calls and tells a dispatcher that his neighbor came over and threatened to beat him up but left and didn’t do anything, that is an assault. When I was on patrol we would never take such a report even if dispatched. We would refer them to the front desk of the police station to fill out paperwork to be forwarded to the city prosecutor (City version of the DA). So no injuries and no ongoing disturbance. An Assault with injuries, which includes as little as feeling pain, is a class A Assault for up to a year in jail and it is not included in this new policy. Basically what they are doing now is what I did for 15 years on Patrol but now they’re saying you can call in the report or do it online instead of driving to the police station. Much ado about nothing……

A lot to unpack but here goes…. I consider myself very knowledgeable on the Constitution. In part of that knowledge I know that Article III Sec. 1 and Sec. 2 say that the judicial power of the United States shall be in one Supreme Court and that power shall extend to “all cases arising from the Constitution”. That means it doesn’t matter what you think, I think, people who are very knowledgeable think or the Town Cryer. The Supreme Court has rendered a ruling on this issue and it appears as though birthright citizenship is granted under the 14th Amendment. There is a sliver of hope in that ruling because they weren’t quite as adamant as maybe they could have been. Also, like Plessy, v. Ferguson and Roe v. Wade, they can simply reverse themselves. Over 30 countries have unrestricted birthright citizenship. The “only country” is a fallacy that is often repeated.

Claim to fame, a mass shooting survivor. The mass shooting survivor, who: 1. Was never shot. 2. Was never shot at. More fake victimhood. ”I’m a survivor!” Me too. I one time survived a plane crash in Port Arthur. I wasn’t actually in the crash but I got there shortly afterwards. -
This is a constitutional issue, not a legal issue. Congress cannot pass legislation overcoming a Constitution right protection There are conflicting Supreme Court decisions on birthright citizenship with a very narrow decision in favor of no automatic birthright citizenship and a much stronger case for most birthright citizenship (everyone except diplomats).

When did Trump blame DEI for the crash?

The national debt cannot crease without a deficit. The numbers that I posted ARE the deficit for those years. The national debt went from roughly $5 Trillion to roughly $35 Trillion because of those annual deficits that I listed. Next?
-
The nation debt in 2000 was $5.6 Trillion. The national debt in 2024 was 35.5 Trillion. So it went up $30 Trillion. Under Obama it went up $9.4 Trillion. Under Biden it went up $8.4 Trillion…. In 4 years. Under Bush’s two terms it went up $5 Trillion. Under Trump it went up $7.8 Trillion. So we have $12.8 Trillion under 3 Republican terms and $17.8 under 3 Democrat terms. Next?
-
EVERYONE is still worried about the debt. The national debt was $5.5 Trillion in 2000. It is approaching $40 Trillion now through 3 Republican terms and 3 Democrat terms. You can look like the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz and point in both directions.

I asked a current Army Black Hawk pilot about the ground clutter of lights without determining anyone at fault. If the BH was at altitude (even if out of position at 400 feet) and told an aircraft was approaching at 1,200 feet for landing, wouldn’t they be looking up at the black sky and not toward the ground and the clutter of lights? Yes. I have heard the speculation that the CRJ, because it was turning to the left, lightly exposed its belly to the helicopter, so the navigation lights could not be seen. So I ask the BH pilot what I already knew, aren’t the navigation light supposed to be seen from any angle including from underneath the aircraft? Yes.
-
Yes, it’s a stretch. The helicopter was flying towards the south end of runway 33. ATC told the pilots of the helicopter that a jet was at 1.200 feet on final to runway 33. There is only one place in the sky that jet can be, and that is south of runway 33 which is coincidentally the same location of the helicopter. The experienced pilots were warned about an aircraft south of the field landing but the two experienced pilots flying the helicopter, were according to the experts, both looked to the north and saw an aircraft a mile away and somehow mistook that for the landing aircraft? Then the helicopter pilot was told to “pass behind the CRJ”. How do two experienced pilots (or even rookies) get told to pass behind an aircraft landing from the south yet mistake it for instructions to pass behind a jet a mile away to the north? Wrong altitude? Switching between night vision and visual? Mistook the jet behind the CRJ to the south? I have no clue but if they thought that a jet a mile away north, to their right, was the aircraft to watch south of the runway, that is the craziest thing I have heard about this tragedy. If the helicopter pilots were so lost that they didn’t know where they were in relation to the threshold of runway 33, maybe that was the cause but even that seems like a stretch. And now they are saying the collision happened at 325 feet.

Orange Man bad and mean tweets lives on…. 🤔 The problem with their side of the aisle is that some of the never Trumpers have become never Democrats… 😎 Then they double down and make David Hogg one of the leaders of their party. 🤪 It’s an old saying but, can’t make this stuff up!

….. and actually I don’t drink or smoke. If I did, it would be outrageous! 😎

Chuck Schumer has really hit the nail on the head with these outrageous Trump Mexico tariffs!! He is hitting below red belt!!! How are we going to be able to watch the Super Bowl if they avocados and Corona beer goes up 25%?!? I was going to make some guacamole for Super Bowl but now I’m gonna have to change my plans. I usually use about eight Haas avocados at about 89¢ each. It was going to cost $7.12 but now it would be $8.90! The Corona long necks will go up 34¢ each. I was only going to drink about four, but that’ll bring me between the guacamole and beer to $3 more out of my pocket so I can happily watch the Super Bowl. OUTRAGEOUS! Just think if I did that every weekend, I would lose $12 a month….. 🤣🤣🤣

I just saw reports that the helicopter was actually at 200 feet as required and the jet was lower than optimal glide slope. A CRJ is a model of aircraft (Bombardier) and that generally cannot be distinguished at night. What they will see is the navigation lights. It would be like at nighttime trying to distinguish a Boeing 757 from a Boeing 767. Oh, you got the wrong Boeing! It seems virtually impossible to mistake a landing aircraft for one taking off. The runway numbering system makes it impossible to mistake direction unless you just have no clue where you are at. If they couldn’t distinguish the navigation lights, they surely couldn’t see which model of aircraft it was. With the latest report that I read showing that the plane might have been below glide-slope and the helicopter at the assigned altitude (unverified), I think that I will wait for further investigation. Speculation is absolutely the name of the game in social media. Otherwise we mostly could not comment. As a pilot, I think some of the speculation borders on stretching that rubber band beyond the breaking point.

That didn’t take long…… It isn’t a trade war. It is a demand to secure your own border. The claimed “war” lasted two days with Mexico. Trudeau talked to Trump yesterday and has a scheduled talk this afternoon.
