You know how I know you are from Vidor? lol, he will be welcomed in Bulldog Country. Nothing wrong with wanting to upgrade in life.
Why on God's green earth would anybody move south Interstate 10???
Because anyone north of IH-10 are yankees.

God knows i'm gonna need it. I live within listening distance of bulldog stadium.
DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT BECOME A BULLDOG FAN OR I WILL DISOWN YOU YOUNG MAN!!!! 4.
IMO a quitter is a quitter.....As coach used to say "Where was he (the quitter)when the sweat was running down the crack of your a&&"  I guess there may be some circumstances that would allow a second chance? How fair is it to the TEAM if everyone gets a pass?
Are you talking about a kid that quits the week before two a days but wants to return for the first scrimmage (after the hardest work) or are you talking about a kid that quits after the season because he has a change of plans such as concentrating on another sport but it doesn't work out and he wants to rejoin the team the next year? If a person simply quits because he doesn't want to work, I would not have him back on my team. Why even worry about punishment? If he quit to work hard on another sport and that doesn't work out, does it matter?
 5. Very good interview. It was better than some of the standard canned answers in my opinion. I liked what he said about making mistakes at full speed and when the coach gets on that butt, the answer should be "Yessir!" and not make any excuses.
 6.
I'll just say this. If the players aren't going out there to "Win" then what is the point of having a scrimmage? Practice hard play hard, practice soft play soft.
They should go out to play hard and pick up some experience. Does someone win a practice?
 7. Why punish someone for changing his mind on which sport(s) he wants to concentrate on? Either let him play or if it will adversely alter the team keep him off. Allowing a player to return but having to prove himself or pay some kind of penance seems silly.
 8.
and please, please, please, please!!!!!! For the one millionth time, no wins or losses in these scrimmages!!
WRONG!! They all count. I think Nederland is 1-3 in scrimmages the last two years. I wonder how that worked out for 20-4A? ;D
 9.
Based on your thoughts looks like Nederland would be heavily favored to win it all
I think three straight championships is tough no matter who you are. They are probably heavily favored to be in the top four and make the playoffs.
 10.
My boys will shock some teams this season........... :)
....... and stay within three scores of some teams.
 11. Some people surely put too much emphasis on rankings, at least as far as high school. You can read entire threads or posts on here once the season gets cranked up from people that really seem to get upset at who is ranked above who. It is nothing but a tool for discussion. That is especially true when our playoff system includes every team. You can be an unranked 4th place team in your district and have a shot at the championship game. If everyone agreed with rankings, there would be no need for rankings. That is not true in college football where you have to be ranked to get to the big dance.
 12.
In the very last paragraph, what is the deal with Friday night games not being televised?
I think it said that it stayed the same as it is now. Currently you can "replay" a Friday game, on Friday, but it can't be live. There has to be a one hour wait after the game ends before it can be aired.
 13.
So Neds beating us in playoff appearances....But how many times have you made it to the big dance and brought it home?  Keep trying...
............ and the last time they won the parents of this year's seniors had not even met each other. How far do you want to go back in history to try to find something? Winning a state championship almost 40 years ago? Really?  ;D
 14.
"A new Class 6A will be created, but it won’t be a conference of schools with large enrollments as many had thought." ???
It will be no different than when 4A was the largest district. Back then (at least up into the 1980's) the smallest schools were Class B. To make everyone feel appreciated (early political correctness), sometime in the early '80's  they made all 11 man teams "A" divisions. B went to 1A, 1A went to 2A, etc., with 4A moving to 5A. (Somewhere in there for a few years they had 8 man ball that was eliminated) Now they continue by naming even 6 man teams an "A" school. So the divisions are no different than they were in the 1960's with divisions back then called Six Man - 4A. Now the same divisions will be called 1A-6A.

 18.
Wow is all I can say.  What is a reporter doing taking pictures of minors at 7 a.m.?  Kind of creepy. Personally, since 7-on-7 is not a school-sanctioned event, I don't see why coaches cannot transport.  I understand liability issues, but seriously...students cannot be transported in school vehicles (or they are not supposed to be).  Mark and Toby Foreman are good people.  Sad that they are being attacked before they even get started.  And we wonder why people dislike reporters and the media.
Because the UIL says that it is a violation. I think it has to do with the rules on practice days and coaches involvement. If someone has an issue they need to bring it up with them.
Don't need consent to take photos in the public unless you are selling them.
What if you are posting them on a website that charges people a subscription fee to look at the articles in which the pictures reside?  Does he need consent then?  What if the kids are minors and someone posts their image and vaguely accuses them of soliciting a prostitute?  Does he need consent then?  TVC, you're usually a pretty level headed guy, but I cannot believe that you are on Jerry Jordan's side on this one.
I am not on Jerry Jordan's side and have never said or implied that I was. I only said that the thread is about a UIL investigation and instead of asking or commenting on the investigation, most are only speaking about the article itself. I asked on the previous page of posts, if the allegations are true, what are the penalties? If a school is already on some kind of sanctions, can it have any outcome on potential playoffs? Can the penalty be against (only) the coach like banning him from the sidelines for some games? I asked and no one answered, which was my point. Some of the posts went right back to Jerry Jordan. Well I don't care about Jerry Jordan. What is going to happen if these allegations are true? I want to know what may happen in the upcoming season for those two schools or the coaches. Diverting the attention to who sprung the story or what his motivation was seems to me to have absolutely no bearing on the investigation or the potentials for the season at hand. That is about as level headed as I can be.
 20. A person picks the school of his choice. The person can consider anything or any person(s) for guidance in that decision making. It can be a good friend, a trusted coach, the family or a whim.

I guess blame the messenger is in full force. The rule might be stupid but it is the rule. If other coaches are doing it them photo them. I don't know if the coaches violated the rules but they certainly appeared to be doing so. That is why they call it an "investigation" and not a conviction. Maybe they have valid reasons for being there within the rules. Blaming the UIL and the reporter seems lame.
Power hungry grown men following around 7 on 7 teams, taking pictures, seems lame to me.  If he was so interested, why didn't he get out of the car and go ask them what they were up to?  Staking out high school kids in a hotel parking lot to show that they might have been breaking UIL rules?  Are you seriously going to defend that?  If they had been selling cocaine, he'd have had a story.  This isn't a story.
If there is no story then it should end quickly with no action. I don't need to defend reporters. A reporter is there to get people to read the articles. It sure looks like this one was a success. When there are threads on other internet sites, it looks like he did his job. I notice that people are addressing the reporter and not the title of the thread. It s like I said in my other post, people are deflecting the issue not to the rules but to the person that reported it. Out of curiosity, if it is true, what is the penalty? If a school has already been sanctioned, do they lose any playoffs that year? It is double secret probation? Does the head coach have to not be on the sidelines for the first five games? What happens if the UIL finds that the accusations are true? Do they blame it on the accuser or do they take action?
