[/quote] Yes. They launch from the city dock and have to come back to the same place. They can run anywhere they can get to from that spot which technically (since they can hit the Intracoastal Canal from there) is from Brownsville to Florida. I have heard that they have a 100 mile limit but not sure if that was true.

[/quote] When we run that area, we never run the bank. We go deep in the lake to run and then run toward the shore, not down it. You can see the beaches there where it usually gets shallow.

You can follow a depth finder easily. The last time I fished there was in October with a guy that has a 24 foot bay boat with a 300 on the back. We were catching school specks about 60 feet from the shore in about 3-4 feet of water. It is way worse on the north end around Stewts Island where it can go from 40 feet in the channel to 1 foot when you get out of the channel. I have seen several bigger boats get slammed and do damage to their boats there.

It looks like the hunting season is finished until next October. Two more does in the freezer and time to break out the fishing gear.

The LC9 is the 9mm and is slightly larger than the LCP. Those are examples of what I was talking about of having no decockers, no external safeties and having the same trigger pull each time. The LCP can usually be tossed in the back pocket and not be noticed. The LC9 being slightly larger isn't always so good for that option but can easily be concealed other ways.

[/quote] Westend has a good idea with the S&W hammerless like the Airweight. Awesome guns if that is what you are looking for. All weapons have positives and negatives. There is no perfect firearm. Here is my main idea on defensive handguns. Buy one that has one trigger pull and not things that you to flip to fire or make safe, I don't care what brand. My main dislike is the double/single semi-autos. The first two shots always have two distinctively different trigger pulls. It may be a 1 1/4" heavy trigger pull like 10 pounds on the first shot and a a 1/10" pull at 3 pounds on the follow up. While it can be learned, that is the kicker. It has to be learned. Then those types of handguns have to be "decocked" after each shot to lower the hammer back into a safe position which requires flipping either a safety or decocking lever. Handguns like a striker fire (Glock, xD, M&P) have the same trigger pull each time and no other levers to flip, put on or off safety, no decocker, etc. It is the same with revolvers. One trigger pull does it all. Then it comes down to personal preference by feel of the firearm, caliber, size, etc. Again, each has its pros and cons. Examples are a S&W Airweight revolver is a great little light gun but they are slightly wider than many semi-autos and they only have five shots. You can carry extract rounds but they are usually a good bit harder to hide and to reload. The semi-autos carry more rounds and are slimmer but many people believe that the light revolver is safer due to the longer and heavier trigger pull. So each one has its good points and its bad points. A lot might determine what your intent for the handgun is, where you intend to carry it, your experience level or amount of time you intend to actually practice, etc.

Through the years I have carried maybe 35 different handguns of varying types and sizes. Exactly what do you want to know?

$150 for an 870 is a great price unless it is a real junker, which I doubt. I would pay $150 for an 870 20 gauge almost sight unseen.

It is obviously not a legal means of taking deer, mostly because it is not listed as a legal means. The taking of game animals and fish is strictly set out in the law on what is legal and exploding arrows isn't it. The key phrase there is "game animals". Unprotected animals can usually be taken by any means, at any time and with no bag or possession limits. Also note, that is a firearm under the definition of a firearm and subject to all laws in that area. Pretty cool though.

Saying that my player is better than yours or my team is better than yours is not bashing, it is an opinion. It is also probably taunting and/or pot stirring. Those are not against the rules. Bashing in my opinion is saying that a named (or numbered) player is a low life, is a drug user, is a criminal, only gets to play because daddy pays off the coach, is a piece of crap, using profanity toward him/her (another rules violation in itself) etc. If we stop people from saying that one team is better than another, another player is better than another, my team is going to shut down your crummy team, my coach out coached your coach and other such statements, we might as well shut down the website and all gather in the park and have a group hug. That is my opinion. Another moderator might have a different view.

The fish go deep when it is cold and sure aren't chasing shrimp across the top.... because they aren't hanging around there either. I try to fish deep right along the reef that time of the year. I think they pick up shrimp, minnows and other food hiding or hanging out in the shell..... and fish slow.
