  1. I doubt very seriously that they are "worried" about it. When you are setting off on a new program, sometimes it is good to change thinks up a bit to help the feeling of the new start. I think this is a fairly common occurrence and certainly not limited to LC-M. I don't think they are going to miss any two-a-days because of a new helmet logo. Isn't PN-G going to change their scheme up a bit? Maybe their new coach isn't worried about winning. 8) Good luck to LC-M, their new coach and their new helmet logo.
  2. I don't remember if it was but I don't ever remember players or a coach say that this year won't be good because we have a bad attitude.
  3. Yeah. The signs said they needed a 24 hour notice but I guess if he could come, he would. The guy that ran it lived in Louisiana but worked for TexDOT.
  4. Bring plenty of beer.
  5. Different team but the same position. A scrappy team from the year before with almost the entire team returning. It means nothing to this year's team but having a bunch of returning starters, like the 2005 Pirate team showed, is not a guarantee for the playoffs. I would not be shocked if Vidor won district this year and certainly not shocked to see them in the playoffs. I sure don't see it as some kind of clinch though simply due to numbers.
  6. They didn't run it 24/7 but the point is well taken.
  7. Vidor will likely beat at least one of those teams. Will they beat enough of them for the playoffs is the question? As far as if they "can beat" one of those teams, I think they will be capable of beating any of them. Any given night............
  8. History. But history may change this year though. Like Lumberton's 40+ years of futility, it finally came to an end. Maybe it will be for the Pirates this year.
  9. Sometimes, you just can't help it... I just haven't felt the urge to stand up and clap for... or even play Cherokee just yet. For some reason the Aggie War Hymn keeps dancing in my head though......
  10. Fans may be important to the team as far as being fun but they are not part of the team. To think so it presumptuous.
  11. ... or a lot of top waters. They will explode on top water lures.
  12. At least for the underclassmen. Still waiting to hear from the varsity.
  13. That sounds about right.
  14. Our new stadium is a number of things, but it is not cursed... *knock on wood* ;D And maybe some day PNG can win a game on their new turf and prove the no curse theory.
  15. We'd bring the band and the Indianettes to the chess match with Nederland. So they can console each other after another loss. It is always good to show such support of each other like that. Heck, they probably bring grief counselors to the games with them and I applaud their efforts.
  16. Yeah, you would think a school that used to be 5-a would have better parking access and facilities. here you go AGAIN!!!! dawging on vidor. what is your problem with vidor? Vidor gives a lot to choose from. Lousy visitor's side. Lousy parking (maybe the worst). Unbelievably long lines waiting to get to the lousy parking. Lousy band.... you name it, Vidor has it. I was just kidding on the band. Everyone knows of their great reputation and the excellent job that they do. I just figured it would add some fire to a couple of Vidor fans eyes when they glance at it.
  17. Heard that about Ike also, want me to pull some old post....lol Yeah. NO WAY... CAN"T HAPPEN! POOF!! ;D
  18. This look like anything? I'm not worried.... thought I might as well get the season started off right with the wild speculations.
  19. I went to Yuma back in the early 80's to visit my brother who was stationed there. They have an old historical prison back from the old western days, the Yuma Territorial Prison. I think that is where they likely got their nickname.
  20. I don't know of any but I would love to have a Bullmastiff.
  21. No kidding. It gives them a fighting chance this year, especially with 4 teams going.
  22. Thought I would pad my post count also. ;D
  23. The first specks that I ever caught about 35 years ago was on a Mirrolure. I have been using various colors ever since.
  24. I have hunted with an AR-15 and would hunt with my AK47 if I put some kind of optics on it. An Uzi at only 9mm wouldn't be my choice of hunting round.... although I would like to keep the option open if I wanted. I don't believe the Democrat/Liberal mantra of "We don't want your sporting guns" nonsense.
  25. Great flyfishing time.
