I don't know about being in a panic but PNG looks like they have a strong passing game. I think they should have gone to is sooner. That is not their tradition of student body right or left and ball control but I think they need to be passing more often. I think PNG has the people to pull it off.

The PNG fans didn't seem much of a factor after all and were strangely quiet for most of the game. I didn't hear Cherokee played very often either. PNG might have been hungry but they found bulldog a bit tough to chew on. Maybe that tender bear meat on Tuesday night spoiled them.

I'm with you Sherm. I watch the Boy Scouts raise the flag at most games and they do it wrong, technically speaking. I thought the scouts were big on the Flag Code and the respect that goes with it but they do not raise the flag in the correct manner. In the scheme of bad things in the world, this is miniscule in nature.... but I still wish they would do it correctly.

Dude what's your theory on it? I always agree with you but come on why would they go through that much trouble and then not even take the bear or meat or anything from it? The two are out bowhunting and took a target of opportunity. But being a big bear, it didn't go down and attack its attackers. But the father makes a shot on the grizzly.... while the grizzly is running running. Yeehaa.... he killed the grizzly. Then realized.. oops.... what if someone finds the carcass? This isn't a canvasback that you can stuff in the marsh and besides that, the son got bit on the hands and arm. So they come up with this fantastic story of an act of survival. The miraculous bowshot to save a family member from certain death on a bear that was running as the son sees an arrow zip within two feet of him. This from a guy that missed two shots at elk the day earlier. Even after the miracle shot, it wasn't reported until the body was decomposed.... in the middle of September in Wyoming and almost two miles up. I wouldn't think it was too hot up there. So much for checking the body for the location and angles of the entry wounds. I obviously don't have a clue if it is true or not.... but it sure seems convenient. ;D

Yeah...... it is called "The Media". Been there, done that. They take bits and pieces from different sources and come up with numbers that even leaves the person talking to the reporter going, HUH? I have given statements to the media many times (and still do, the latest being this week) and often look at their report of my words and say, HUH?

I will concur. Unless Nederland's run defense somehow became existent in the last two weeks without games or much practice, Nederland will have a hard time winning this one.

LCM gets a boost by playing in front of the home crowd, having the announcer antagonizing the visitors and the scoreboard booming out that bear roar to keep the players fired up. Add that to the fact that everyone is saying that the Bears are lousy and so they have something to prove. Due to all of these advantages to LCM, I think PNG will only win by 21.

Yeah, I can understand that. Maybe 24x7 just has rough wording. If the officials said to have 10 days of supplies and you would be on your own if you stay and then told the people not to come back, then it is their fault. I am forced to stay due to work but we know that FEMA (or anyone else) is not going to be there for probably 3 days just to get us some relief in the form of food and water. We have provisions for food, water and housing for several days after a storm. If anyone wants to stay, they should expect the same. Anyone that thinks FEMA is going to be (or even should be) camped out on their doorstep a couple of days after a storm is being ridiculous. Put that way, I can see the point.

I think the point is that if you left, you probably got damage and were without power. If you stayed, you got the same damage and were without power. Other than that.............
