I don't see how. Can anyone prove if they used them before the game from last year? I have seen high school athletes over the years being caught with illegal substances. I have never heard of any team forfeiting a game because of it.

You can tell very little by reading the article. It does not even mention the school being involved in any part of investigation. The only reason that we may know that any athlete/former athlete in BC may be involved at all is a tip from "an anonymous BCHS source". Is the "former" star still a current student or did he graduate? Did the BCPD make the case independently with no knowledge by the district? Was the BCPD tipped off by a school official or anyone in the district? Did the school even know about it until now? You could go on and on but nothing is answered in the article except that the Bridge City PD is doing a drug investigation, the DPS Crime Lab is doing the testing and that Cris Stump will not put up with anything in the future. Anything else is pure speculation. One posting in this thread said "Sounds to me like BC actually caught the kids doing it, and the kids have been punished". There is no indication that BC(ISD?) has caught anyone doing anything. There is no indication that there has been any punishment. How about this from a post, "I'm not 'happy' that BC got caught" . Caught? The article mentions nothing about anyone being caught. It mentions nothing about any arrest(s). So now we have posts of kids being caught, kids being punished, etc. Where did that information come from? The article? If so, I sure didn't see it. I think that is why we should tread lightly in this thread even beyond not mentioning names as Coop has stated. Major Hargrave with BCPD said that there is an investigation ongoing and Cris Stump said that abuse of drugs would not be tolerated. Good for them. Other than that, we know nothing and the posts should reflect that.

RELIANT WEEK 0 PREDICTIONS PNG/LaMarque..Ned/Brenham??

CAN? Sure. LIKELY? Nope. A great game by one of the Mid-County schools and a couple of timely turnovers, maybe. It would take some breaks to do it but I think there have definitely been bigger upsets. -
I think it is .223 but it might be 5.56 NATO. I need to find my boxes and look for sure. Federal Tactical Bonded Boat Tail Soft Point 62 gr. It usually retains 100% of the weight of the round and expands up to 50 caliber in ballistic gelatin. It goes about 20" deep and expands to .44 caliber in the gelatin after going through two 3/4 inch plywood sheets and so on. It is some pretty devastating rounds that Federal has hit the market with recently. I have not shot it at a deer and don't know that I would but I think the round clearly outperforms other .223/5.56 rounds on the market. EDIT: Even though it is a great round, the problem with the .223/5.56 is downrange. Try to drop a 5.5 year old once in a lifetime deer at 250 yards with it and you might be disapointed with the terminal ballistics. At 100 yards it is more than enough gun.

I don't think that I would ever hunt with a .223 but I bet that I have some ammo for the .223 that will bring down any whitetail in Texas.

If The UIL Ask You To Change One Rule In Hi School Football

That goes both ways however. I have seen times that a player broke a long run but an official out of position called a player down with no contact but his knee touched. The only problem is that the knee did not touch but the ref had a bad angle. Any way that you can describe a bad call can go either way. I remember the long run by Troy Sumrall against Sweeny where he went 99 yards. His knees were almost touching the ground the last 5-10 yards with a Sweeny player hanging on his back. The ref was almost on his hands and knees (he might have even been on his knees) watching and called the touchdown. The ref's actions and call of the touchdown was almost as fun to watch as the run. That was great for Nederland but what if the ref had not been two feet away and bending down watching? -

If The UIL Ask You To Change One Rule In Hi School Football

The current system is probably the most fair way to do it. Both teams get the ball an equal number of times and from the same distance. Both teams are either with the wind or against it. If there is a second tie, they swap which team has to go first. If you just make it a few minutes, like basketball, which team gets the wind? Which team is lucky enough to win the flip and put their best team on the field, offense or defense? It can give one team a decided advantage over the other with nothing more than blind luck. -

I hate ties as much as some people apparently hate overtime. -

Basketball is an indoor sport and can be played anytime. Why move football? No need to get heat stroke because someone doesn't want to play in the a/c a month earlier. -
Aww come on!! You weren't catching 30+ pound bass?? ;D

The Vibrio vulnificus bacteria lives in warm saltwaters and is particularly nasty. It is one of the so called "flesh eating" bacteria that tend to spread very rapidly. Any infections can be critical but some of those contracted in saltwater can cause severe injury or death in short order. Anyone seeing an inflammation after being in saltwater should seek medical assistance immediately.

Always a comedian in the bunch. ;D

*BREAKING NEWS..PAT FISCHER RESIGNS AS DC AT PN-G*

I don't know any of the coaches that left other than seeing names on a forum. I could really care less since I am not from PN-G. Thinking about coaches leaving a program, if a coach left any program (forced or voluntary) because he did not agree with the head coach or did not do what the head coach wanted, so what? What is the point of being the head coach if you must keep someone that is not doing what you wish or opposes you? It doesn't mean that the coach is good, bad or anything else. It just means the captain of the ship wants to go in a certain direction and the seamen don't get to make the call. -

Down a little means probably means they win by 21 instead of 28. -
Where is your lease/property? When do you plant? Where do you get them? How are they on Ph?

I'm with you there Proud. I was at the PN-G championship game in the Astrodome in '99. I cheered along with the rest of them but I could not bring myself to stand and clap during Cherokee. A man can only debase himself so far without losing his principles not to mention causing a gag reflex. ;D -
Surely you are saying that with tongue in cheek... right?
