  1. I thought 150 miles NW of Junction in New Mexico.
  2. I don't know where he is hunting but I sure don't see any prickly pear cactus around where I hunt in east Texas.
  3. It will cost him about one day's salary. Maybe two at the outside if he actually had to pay for it. Biggio makes almost $3,000 per inning played or about $25,000 per game. Two days of his salary comes to $50,000 so it didn't cost him much.
  4. Darn good guess. You only missed it by 31 points.
  5. What I am shocked about is that we even have computers in this part of Texas to post things on a forum. If the squirrels in the treadmill ever get tired, we are in trouble. I guess we can just go out into the stadium on our aluminum benches and watch the grass grow since that is the only thing we can afford.
  6. Now that is funny. The new kid on the block automatically gets last place. That is quite a concept however I think that Dayton has probably played baseball before. This district is very competitive and has quite a record in the last few years of sending a team to the state tournament however Dayton has the same chance as anyone else.
  7. Let the couple of Vidor fans have their say. It helps to keep the boards moving in the off season. You have to have some sympathy for a fan that has only one thing to talk about and that is beating a playoff team even though his teams hasn't been to the playoffs in years. Maybe it is some kind of therapy. When you have a team that is trying to make the playoffs for only the 4th time in 80 years (and failing miserably), you need something to keep you positive. Maybe this forum provides that relief. Think of it as a free counseling session.
  8. There's enough cholesterol in that pig to kill two dozen people.
  9. That is true since Mosley has been Nederland's leading ball carrier for each of the last 11 years of our playoff run. He started his incredible string when he was in the second grade and became the starting tailback after a senior went down with an injury. No one could believe that the coach would put a 2nd grader in but 11 years later, here he is. I can hardly believe that he is finally graduating. After a little more than a decade of Mosley, we are finally going to need a new tailback. What are we to do? Cameron Bass came in the last couple of games because of an injury to our fullback but he only averaged 6.2 yards per carry so I guess we are in deep trouble. Come on piratefan, you've got to do better. Tell me that your life is not consumed with trying to find a way to relieve your pain over not making the playoffs year after year by point out certain games that Nederland has lost.
  10. We do count it. It is a loss.... a loss that had absolutely nothing to do with the final standings.
  11. I figured that your spread and main beams are short changed. Maybe some on the mass. Hard to tell without another angle or side shot.
  12. Yeah but while he is killing a 90 pound 4 point, he could be killing a 150 pound 8 point. You can't eat the horns, that is for sure. I still don't see the point in shooting small deer for the sake of meat when you could get more meat from letting them grow. Obviously he can kill whatever he wants for whatever reason he wants. Throw the horns away if you wish and just keep the meat. More and bigger deer seems to be a better option for meat than to kill Bambi the first time he pokes his head out of the woods. If he and others like him would let them grow, they would be seeing the benefit fairly quickly. Therein lies the reason that in southeast Texas, many people or forced to shoot the first thing they see since it will be the only thing they see.
  13. I am glad that I am just stupid and have no plans to go to college.
  14. Petafile? Is that someone that likes animal lovers?
  15. I was going to guess about 155 but from the looks of it, it could certainly be larger.
  16. Testy testy. There are no facts to get straight. Go back and read. I did not "accuse" you of anything. I disagreed with you. That is what forums are about. You made the statement "You can't judge someone on how they do in little league you half to start judgeing them when there on varsity level". I said I judged a kid at 9 years old and I was correct. I think you can do it with some others as well. You said that it can only be done on the varsity level. I disagree and gave you an example why. That is not an accusation, it is a different opinion.
  17. I think KLVI needs to do an All-Nederland team since that is the ony team they broadcast.
  18. I think you have about as much tact as a bull elephant trying to walk through a china shop. Great first post, it really brings out your style which means you are a nut. You are either Bellanger himself, a family member or a friend. As far as everyone knowing about that interception, heck yeah, everyone knows that play. It was in all the papers. I think the New York Times even ran an article on it. I think the Dave Campbell's Texas High School Football magazine is running a feature story in next year's issue: "Bellanger To Double Up On Mosley". Mosley had one of the great years in history in the Golden Triangle area for high school football. Whatever someone else does in the future or has done in the past has no bearing on that. I guess Little Joe Washington from Lincoln High School in Port Arthur was overrated because Jamaal Charles later broke his city record. The great years for Little Joe at Oklahoma and then the NFL mean nothing because someone else got more yards later, right? I hope that Bellanger (whoever he is) has a great year. Maybe he can set records in his own right. That would be great. Coming in here however and slamming another player is not exactly the way to present your case. Please tell me that you are not a high school (or junior high) graduate.
