What makes you think Buna would have beat Silsbee or EC? We scouted the jr. buna team and were not that impressed. By the way you were not the only un-defeated team, we are still undefeated. The east conference just happened to be weak this year. the first time you had to play someone from the west look what happend!! Opinions are like a$$holes everyone has one , unfortunately some are larger than others! You may have scouted the Buna Jr. team and may not have been impressed but we didn't play so I guess we will never know how it would have come out. NEVER have I come on here and trashed the kids, coaches maybe but not the kids that just shows what a jerk you are, these kids work hard all year long and do their very best to have someone like you come on here and run them down so GROW UP! As for the Eastern conference I thought had tough teams, great kids with great sportsmanship toward each other. So I don't know about everyone else on here but I am standing up for my team and could care less what u think!

Piratesdad4410, You sure talked a lot of trash about Buna, talking about Deweyville taking Buna by 14, but when the game ended you had to eat those words. Do you spend all your time trashing Buna? We are not whining just trying to take up for HJ because we didn't think they should have been seeded #4, Hawks played a great game and deserved to win hands down. Hope HJ will be the next Superbowl Champs! Our boys still have the Eastern District Champs title that we are very proud of!!!!

SeniorHawk, Yes, your boys played a good game and defeated the young men from Buna. That is a fact, we all seen that. I have to say that yes your coaches did an excellent job as well. I was simply stating that I didn't think that you guys should have been the fourth place seed. I simply feel as though we were the only un-defeated team and should have played the true forth seed team. This would have made the matchup between HJ and Buna this weekend. There is no question whether our teams could have beat the other two teams that were seeded second and third. I just wanted to know who was involved in the seeding of the teams. TO MAKE IT VERY CLEAR WHO PUT HARDIN JEFFERSON IN THE FOURTH PLACE SEED AND HOW WAS THIS ALLOWED? I THINK BONECRUSHER HAS THE SAME QUESTIONS I HAVE.
-
I'll agree to that BONECRUSHER, maybe all the other coaches in the playoffs were intimidated by the cougars undefeated season so felt the need to seed each team where they wanted, again my hats off the HJ they played a heck of a game as for the cougars they still have the bragging rights of the UNDEFEATED DISTRICT CHAMPS, and no one can change that. Those boys played a great season and will be back next year. We are very proud of them!!!

Congrats to the Hardin Jefferson Hawks Jr. team. These young men played a heck of a game. I can't help but ask myself if this was the true fourth seed team. I thought that the first seed team played the fourth place seed and the second seed team played the third place seed. Does anyone know how the teams were seeded and if so who made the determination of who played who. I think the Buna boys got rooked on their game and should have played Silsbee or whoever the true fourth seed team should have been.

Buna Junior team came out today and dominated AGAIN!! Yep that's right, the undefeated district champs are going to the playoffs! So teams beware of the Buna Cougars, we are headed your way!!

I think Deweyville got their busses mixed up. I think the JV went to Buna. The Cougars are dominating the game. I originally took the score 42 Buna 14 Pirates but at this point I may call it 42-0. -
YEP and Deweyville beat Evadale so what does that say for the standings Well I guess the standings say that Evadale is better than Deweyville. Sorry but I didn't publish the standings.
-
I know for sure that several of the Junior High players played youth football. Sirmons,Byrum and Jackson. There may be more. These three young men in particular will be the ones to watch in previous years. They came into the Evadale football program with the experience of most High School JV players. GREAT JOB EVADALE

In the latest standings Buna is # 2 Behind Kirbyville. Deweyville on the other hand is # 8 behind Buna,Kirbyville and even EVADALE. The standings have to stand for something. Sorry Deweyville but the Cougars end up on top. Buna 42 Deweyville 14 GO COOGS

Why would they forfeit the game? Would it make a difference in the playoffs?

Thank you for your reply Muckelroy, I am sorry that you took offence to my question. I was not implying that you have not done your job, I was simply asking a question. As parents all we hear about is the 30 point rule, since I wasn't at the game I thought it was a good question to ask. I am fully aware of Buna's history with running up the score, but it's my understanding that the junior team also pulled out their starters and still continued to score against the weaker opponents. I really don't think it is necessary to bring action against anyone considering this is just my opinion and has nothing to do with the Buna coaches. I personally feel as though this 30 point rule is ridiculous. How are you supposed to teach the kids to be competitive when you basically punish your starters for scoring too many points. These kids work all season long to WIN, some games they win and some games they loose. Some seasons they may go undefeated and some seasons they may not win a game. We have basically the same kids over and over each season they start in flag and play every year throughout the Jr and Sr divisions. Winning as well as loosing is something everyone has to accept. Why not let every kid play to their full potential year to year and improve, because when these boys get into JR High and High School football there is no mercy on the other team. Isn't that what youth football is about teaching these kids the fundamentals of the game?

Thanks for your reply CaptainClaude. I was not at the game and had no idea if the starters were pulled or not. You answered the question in which I asked. And yes I do believe that does show your charachter. I know personally that sometimes you can pull your starters and still score on the opposing team. Sometimes you just can't help but ask questions.
