Thats a strong expectation of the tax payer. Trust Trump? I understand the strategy but not sold on the end results. I’m not anti-Trump but we are to be patient for years while food costs are rising, health care costs are rising and our politicians are playing chess with Americans benefits. I see the tariff strategy. I just don’t have confidence in it. It may take years to see the fruits of this strategy, if it works. You’re asking a lot out of the American public to say hang in there, trust me, things will get better.

Terrible situation for the program. Poor decisions were made. However the degree that they are being called terriblecheaters may be a bit much. It’s not like they orchestrated a cheating scheme. If you’re a coach and it’s game time and the opponents plays fall in your lap, how many would actually take the high road? I’m not defending their actions or justifying anything. Just saying. The ruling was just.

We have two totally separate issues/concerns. 1) Restoring SNAP now for those truly in immediate need. 2) Revamping, scaling back, phasing out, or whatever other changes needs to happen afterwards.

I agree, however I suspect it would result in another ban quickly.

The committee reviewed evidence and made a ruling. One coach, one game suspension, no game forfeiture. I would not expect UIL to do any different. While circumstances may be more suspicious, there may not be enough evidence to rule differently. The assistant will take his one game suspension and move on with his career, possibly with more respect from some for taking one for the team.

The committee investigated and made their decision. I accept that. This is a black eye on the LCM program even if the HC had no knowledge. While it’s a loss for BC, it’s also costing them a potential district championship. Any ongoing battles would probably be between district administrations rather than football programs. Next year will be a game to watch.

i’m like you, have worked hard all my life to support my family. i’m not bragging. I’ve been blessed with the drive, and the mental and physical ability to do so. I’ve also been blessed with the opportunity.However, I’m very aware not all have the same abilities. Some can and some can’t. Some people have health issues that limit their ability. The same with mental abilities.A single mother of two or three has more challenges than I ever had. I’ve been too blessed not to have compassion for those with real challenges. As I’ve said, the system needs a lot of revision. Our government continues to play political games with no regard to citizens.

Unexpected

Neither party really wants things to change much. The side no one thinks about. This is $100 billion annually worth of tax payer funds being funneled into our economy and food industry. It’s not just about helping the people.

I optimistically picked LCM, but I was nervous.BC fought back and made a game of it. LCM just held on in the second half. Neither team looked great.
