WOS seams better than last year, Newton maybe not quite as good as last year (even though still a state champ contender) so I'll say WOS edges this one. Turnovers and/or penalties could be the determining factor. One thing is for sure, barring injuries, this game will make both teams better.

Can't pass up scoring opportunities in a game like this. -
Heat in the high 90s projected for Friday and will still be hot at game time.. Conditioning will play a big role and WOS should have that strong edge. They have to hold on to the ball though.

Verlander's record this season would have been even better had there been any run support in select games. It's pretty impressive to have two potential Cy Young contenders.

If they don't come to terms soon, one of two things will happen as this season plays out. He either plays great and his stock will rise or doesn't play great and he will regret not jumping on the 30 mil offer.

Should be good game. The fast field could a problem for LCM. However, if WOS continues to commit turnovers like last night.they may get surprised.

Newton was one of the best teams LCM will see all year.

A man has to do what a man has to do but his timing is not considerate to the organization and team that was built around him. They enter the season counting on their seasoned QB.

Transfers in Texas High School Football becoming a trend and a concern
mat replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
If transfers without restrictions becomes an acceptable practice you're opening the door wider for transfers happening for compensation. -
Scrimmages don't count if your team loses.

I'm rooting for Dak and hoping he shines this year but I'm not sold on him. I'd like to see them get through this season before committing.

Russell Westbrook traded to the Rockets

Harden and Westbrook have one goal, a title and they will work together to hopefully get there. The draft pick loss could hurt them down the road. -
That's worth the price of admission right there. Sure glad security showed up and got that under control.

They were making the one customer uncomfortable. He must have had warrants.

WOS has had some great coaches and athletes but it's more than that. It's the program. The community pride of Mustang football starts at Pop Warner and is taught all the way up. Many of each senior class have been playing together for 10+ years. Another common factor since 1977? Thompson has been there. No disrespect to Dan Hooks.

That's a story I'm sure will never make the national news.

Furthermore, we have laws and consequences in place for a reason. We're living in a world where the consequences put in place by our elected officials are being called inhumane by the same elected officials that put them in place. SMH

If I recall (I'm not going to research to confirm) the last two or three bond issues did address academics/buildings with little to no athletic improvements, even voting down turf one time. The fact that they addressed athletics in the last bond and the voters approved does not mean they have neglected academic facilities. By the same token, bond passing doesn't factor much in their academic fails. They have struggled for some time but I would say this is probably the first time for most to see their rating in black and white. They better wake up and focus strongly before things get worse.

It was Iran or someone who wants it to look like Iran.

The programs deserves it and on Friday night the citizens and fans can be proud because they chose/voted to pay for it.

It's an available program for kids in a district that the majority are eligible for free or reduced lunch. I think it is a good think as long the students take advantage of it.
