Counting on the Bears to go to the next round.

I wish both teams an injury free night. I'd also like to see either team win in overtime.

It has been getting old and frustrating and as I watched this last episode I was thinking through it that I could see it getting even worse. Then I saw the previews and it really spiked my interest. looking forward to next week.

He could be king again only if Carol allowed it. She silently rules.

Both teams are inconsistent and both have potential to win. It depends on who brings it and who gets/makes the breaks. I'll go with my Bears and home field advantage.

...and if you want to see the house and senate stay the same, get out and vote. Either way, go vote.

What kills me is it took this long for management to figure out they need help at receiver. I'd venture to say everyone on this board knew that when they cut Dez and Witten started talk retirement. Speaking of Witten, it may not be hard to lure him back on the field consider how his announcing is going.

Astros were swinging at a lot of balls last night. They also had a lot of calls go against them. I think the better team won. -

Glad to see LCM get their first win. It's also their first game against a closer talented team. May more wins will come. -
Never been a fan of Garrett and wasn't a fan Dez. Garrett should have been gone long ago and Dez also needed to go. However, the organization cuts Dez and looses Witten but really does nothing to fill the void, much less improve a lacking offense. Management is responsible for personnel including keeping Garrett far too long.

Bears need a first win. -
I have no problem with a protest, however they choose to do it during the national anthem. It has been made clear that it is interpreted as an insult to our military, veterans and america in general but it doesn't matter. There is no concern for the perceptive offensiveness to our military. They could protest any other time during the game but they don't. Seems a bit self serving.

The school taxes we pay are made up of two types. The M&O (maintenance and operations) tax rate is what it takes to run the district. The I&S (interest & sinking) tax rate is what pays for bonds or other loan types. Each district's rates are formulated and capped differently. Anyhow, that's how I understanding it but It may not totally explain it. It can get complicated.
-
Nederland is in a position similar to a few other districts in our area. They have a very low industry tax base which puts the majority of the tax burden on home owners. Districts with plenty of industry can pass bonds with much less affect on the home owner.

Isn't most of the board still appointed positions? If that's the case, they should wait and let that decision be made by an elected board.

The Jewish Sabbath was abolished at the cross where Christ “canceled the written code, with its regulations” (Colossians 2:14).

“Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ” (Colossians 2:16–17).

“One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord” (Romans 14:5–6a).

I ate at Chick-fil-a the other day and their drive though service was so efficient and the level of courtesy was so impressive it makes me just want to go again. Not to mention good food. Other fast foods could learn some things from them.

The Day and Hour Unknown Matthew 24 36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,fbut only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. 42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. 45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
