Wow! You're right, attitude is everything and yours is crap. It's safe to say you don't represent all Mustang fans.

All of the talk about the Libs leaving this board

I'm feeling very inadequate here because I do not have a college degree. But then again, just how much education is needed to out insult the other? -
It's hard to use your blinker when your left hand is holding phone to your ear.

Well, you all have proven me to be out of touch. What is POC?

It's not my place to tell others whether they experience racism, how often, how extreme or how they should feel about it. My complaint was the agenda of the article and the negative description to the place I call home. I'm not oblivious to the fact that racism exists in Orange. Racism exists throughout this nation but I don't see Orange at the forefront as portrayed in the article. I guess I just see so much good in out area relationship-wise. However, I think it is incorrect to think the race problem and solution rests solely on the white race. My (white) kids went to WOS for many years and they experienced a lot of racism themselves. I'm not complaining or blaming, just stating the facts JMO - I think racism to some degree will always exist so it's probably easier to learn how to deal with it in a productive way rather than just waiting for it to end.
-
Are you from Orange? Probably not. Orange has many problems and challenges that aren't race related. There are many reasons some students attend certain schools in Orange (both ways) that aren't race related. There are also many positive school stories that demonstrate camaraderie and mutual support that would have shown a different light on the Orange community. Orange is not free of race problems but nothing like the story highlights. I think it would be fare say that you could go to any community in the nation and get enough select quotes from interviews to paint a racial picture.

Terrible representation of Orange. Very disappointed in the manipulated story.

It was a closer game than I expected -
You are right. The dems greatly over estimated Hillary. She barely got by Bernie. There's probably a few other dems that could have beat her in the primaries and possibly beat Trump. They put all their eggs in one basket. McCain may have not had a shot if he flipped. There would have been a lot of bashing from both sides.

Vidor Votes AGAINST Bond that would would have built a new High School
mat replied to BMTSoulja1's topic in The Locker Room
In addition to doing it for the kids, school facilities play a big part in the community's development, value and attraction. When schools are improving in communities around you the whole community pays, not just the students. In general bond issues are a big benefit economically. However, that doesn't mean that all bond issues are smart. Some districts may not have prepared properly, spent wisely in the past or maybe its just poor promotion. Unless you're knowledgeable in the details you really don't know if it's a good idea or a bad idea. Voters have the last say and are usually more informed than outsiders. -
Did you vote for a wall that Mexico was paying for?
mat replied to westend1's topic in Political Forum
When he said Mexico would pay for it I never thought he meant they would wright us a check. I thought he meant they would pay for it through funding or revenue cuts to Mexico. Depending on how the NAFTA talks go, it could be true. Or maybe not. -
Yep, ESPN lost me with the Jenner pride. Kaepernick's actions have been disgraceful but I'm little on the fence considering he has those rights as an American. The bigger problem is the way the media including ESPN hyped it up. FoxSports has something to do with ESPNs decline

Obamacare has some good aspects but it mostly sucks. Before Obamacare, healthcare costs were out of sight which resulted in out of sight premium costs. The GOP did nothing which is how we ended up with Obamacare. The dems were united on this. All of the GOP agrees on repeal but they can't agree on how to do it. The ultra conservatives want it gone and screw anyone without. Other lesser conservatives want to replace it with something. The GOP can't come to terms and will continue to battle within; which by the way is how Trump became president.
-
Because health care costs were a disaster before Obamacare and the GOP sat back with no solutions or interest in improvement. The fact that Obamacare (the disaster that it is) has been in place for years has created new cultures and scenarios that should be addressed before just pulling the rug out from under many Americans.
-
It would be totally irresponsible to repeal Obamacare without replacing it with something. I think I heard at some point they were trying to pass it without being able to modify it after approval. As usual the GOP shoots themselves in the foot. This is a victory for the dems without them having to do anything.

The old board supported him to the fullest. However, according to the report he was very deceitful to the board.

The topic of the tread is women's march and many on here asked if they even know why they were marching. I simply stated why they are marching since some claimed to not to know. I don't support Roe vs Wade. While many like his willingness to offend (disrespect) others, it should be understandable that many don't support it.
-
Did anyone watch the march? I watched a little and understand what their concerns are. They are concerned about women's rights/equality, Roe vs. Wade, planned parenthood funding, etc. I don't support many of their issues but I somewhat understand what their complaints are. Anyone that doesn't acknowledge Trump's blatant disrespect for women had blinders on.

During his terms it became apparent that gun control was an uphill battle so they tried to back door gun owners with the ammunition shortage.

Interracial relationships are much more common and accepted than they were twenty years ago and much less troublesome on the kids than it used to be (even though I know it can still exist.) You'll be hard pressed to find someone that's not a mixed race of some kind these days.
