  1. Most districts that try to pass a bond offer campus tours to the public .I would suggest those for, against or on the fence take advantage of that opportunity. People give opinion after opinion about what is best and have never stepped inside the schools. If you're again athletic improvements you can vote against it but still help education.
  2. All district's bordering NISD have passed multiple bonds in excess of what NISD is trying to pass. You can equate that to the street or neighborhood in your community that never updates or improves.
  3. Not every district has upwards of a million dollars for turf
  4. I agree with their approach. If the education bond passes and the athletic bond fails it will allow the district to focus more local funds on athletics because their education needs are getting met. It would be disappointing to have a community pass 150 million or so and reject 4.5 simply because its athletic related. That's a community that really has a problem with athletics. However, they run the risk of a failed education bond and a passed athletic bond because it will have little to no affect on the tax payer.
  5. The Rams, the newcomer to the big show, was out coached and out played by an extremely experienced dynasty. Wade Phillips did his job though.
  6. Had to change channels for awhile.
  7. This breaks my heart
  8. I strongly disagree with the dem and Pelosi tactics. However their tactics were much more effective towards their objective than Trump's was towards his objective.
  9. The dems and media scream daily about Trump. It would be nothing new or different. Trump didn't prove anything. Dem supporters have their view and that didn't change. In fact it unified them because this appears to be a victory against Trump. On the other hand, it has to some level divided Trump supporters because he caved. Whether we agree, Pelosi's political game appears to be strong with the help of the media.
  10. So you are saying Trump had the government shutdown playing the political game (which many claim he doesn't) with the dems? He could have accomplished the same thing by shutting down the border and our government workers would have been spared. Not very savvy in my opinion.
  11. Yeah, I'm sure that's exactly what they're thinking.
  12. This type of horrendous progress/regression will only bring Roe V Wade back to the supreme court sooner. I find it strange that this story is not covered more in the media.
  13. Furthermore, I was not in favor of the shutdown but if the end justified the means then so be it. However, he made his bold stand to only give in when the bluff did not work. What do you suppose that tells Putin, Little Kim or the middle east?
  14. First let me say that I think dem and GOP politics are damaging and shameful to this country. Trump and the dems both drew a line in the sand and Trump crossed it. Pelosi and the dems made it clear, even on the day of reopening that there would be no funding for the wall so we all know the results of future negotiations. So Trumps plan A was to shut down the government for weeks to see if they would give in, playing with our country's well being and employees lives? Plan B is to claim a national crisis? once again, the shut down was useless.
  15. Trump did not reopen the government that he closed because of compassion for workers. The dems called his bluff and he didn't have a backup plan.
  16. Longest shut down in american history was an absolute joke and a total waste. It accomplish absolutely nothing but cost so much. It also proved Pelosi has bigger ballz that Trump does.
  17. I have conceded. I now have to agree with the dems about this being a total waist of money. Their underlying agenda; once they gain more control in a couple years will be to open our borders thus making any wall building cost a total waist of money.
  18. Al QBs get the calls in today's game
  19. Some say "if you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin' " It would be hard to find a defensive player that doesn't slip a hold in every chance they think they can get away with it. Same goes for offensive linemen, receivers pushing off, etc.
  20. Those suspensions provided rest to finish the seasons on fire.
  21. I agree the Patriots are the favorite but the Rams defense may be the X factor. If they can put pressure on Brady and contain the run it may be the difference.
  22. Money or Russian help. I couldn't help it
  23. Officiating has been terrible all season.
  24. I had hated them for awhile but have now grown to accept and even appreciate their continued success. That's impressive in this era. I won't mind seeing them lose though.
