  1. I can understand a family looking for answers
  2. I really don't have a problem with the medals either. The additional travel just doesn't seem very responsible considering their status.
  3. That’s a hard sell for a district in financial trouble. (not to mention the other troubles) Especially since the sup declares a cut back on travel. JMO
  4. The board presedent claims $1000?
  5. I look forward to the day this technology advancement can apply to a bay boat.
  6.   I read the “as many as 100 indictment” number too but I thought that could possible mean somethink like ten people with ten indictments each. Also “as many as” could be less than.
  7. New scientific evidence that supports evolution. Who knew Zebra’s stripes just evolved for fly repellent. Who here thinks they have it right?     [Hidden Content]

I think I'd be in pain too if I had a set of stones as big as hers.
  9. He didn't learn well enough. Thomas was very good at what he did. ;)
  10.   The commissioner gets to make the call. What decision will he make? Will the BISD board and superintendent convince him in a one day interview to let them fix the problem? Or, will he take the recommendation of his staff that have spent months investigating the district? He is representing the TEA you know. If I were a betting man…
  11. Who knows what could be brought forth at this point.     The Jefferson County District Attorney has been investigating allegations of wrongdoing by the district. District Attorney Cory Crenshaw issued the following statement in reaction to the news from the TEA "We would like to take this opportunity to let the community know that now is the time for those who have knowledge of wrong-doing at the school district and wrongdoers themselves, to come forward. We are asking that all individuals with knowledge of criminal activity at BISD to meet with us, tell the truth, and agree to cooperate. Starting today and through the end of this month, my office and task force investigators will be available to meet with people who are willing to speak to us and consideration will be given to those that come forward during this time period. Change within the school district is imminent and this opportunity will hopefully allow for swift justice," stated Crenshaw.
  12. It's been my observation that liberals are indeed the minority on this site.

You are right. I have seen several reports of the black community expressing concern, so it has been reported.     For example   [Hidden Content]

I can agree with one of her statements; no you can’t single one person out. I don’t think you have enough fingers on both hands to point out the culprits.
  15. VISD deciding to go public with a problem is not a bad idea. Not a bad concept.
  16. Another fine example of Washington forcing laws and regs on the public but grandly excluding themselves. If anyone needs flatulence control, it’s Washington. :)   Welcome back Smitty. I thought you were one of those who was “accidentally” band during the changeover.

Interesting.  I wonder if those new democrats are new voters or republican converts. If they are new voters, I’d be interested to know how the dems will generate those voters.  Maybe ACORN?
  18. To go a little further;    Romans 1:32 32 Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.   I also think this can be interpreted as Christians that approve of such practices.   Too much focus is on the homosexual lifestyle. What I (and other Christians) should be concerned with is what God thinks of me supporting or rejecting, being vocal or being silent, being critical or compassionate about homosexuality or any other sinful acts.   Yes, homosexuality is different because we have a political agenda promoting acceptance and lifestyle equality. We are not to be accepting (referring back to Romans 1:32) Nor should we be hostile and insulting.
  19. Wow, I hadn't seen that one. He cranked that arm didn't he. I don't know how that will turn out.
  20. How you, I or anyone else evaluates (judges) sin comparisons is totally irrelevant. How God judges sin is all that matters. However, as Christians, we should attempt to align our opinions with His Word.
  21. I have definitely wondered where you have been.
