A sinner's prayer is not necessarily wrong even though the prayer is not in the bible. I feel it is a good tool to lead those through the initial acknowledgement and confession of sins and accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I also think the non-biblical opinion of asking Jesus into our heart is splitting hairs. You can ask him into your heart, body, soul, life, whatever; Jesus knows your heart and intent and He will squabble over proper working. JMO As Romans states; That if you confess with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

It took a while to log in today so let's go a little different direction. We can never have too much grace, I don't care who you are. This is my favorite rendition. Give it a chance. Go ahead, turn it up. [Hidden Content]

I hear Fork has a gar problem, they're eating up the bass.

Very timely. Coincidentally (not) I've been reading the beginning of Genesis for the last few mornings and had some thoughts and questions on Cain and Abel. They both brought sacrificial offerings to God. How did they know to do that? It was either from Adam's teachings or direct communication from God. According to scripture God spoke to Cain directly about his unacceptable offering. You would think God also had communication with Abel, especially since God found favor with Abel. I would certainly be believable for him to have been a prophet. Another enquiring thought though. Scripture specifically said God found favor with Abel but Abel ended up being murdered by his brother. There's a lot of room for discussion there but I think it would just boil down to various opinions. Thanks for the post JV

Mark Cuban was much more on target than people care to acknowledge. People don't acknowledge the difference between prejudice and racism.

I've read what could be perceived as more offensive statements from many on this forum than Sterling's statement; on both sides of the fence. I'm just sayin'

I can appreciate the loyalty some on here have to BISD. They keep bailing (defending) trying/hoping to keep the boat from totally sinking. However, it's really hard to ignore what appears to be more leak than your buckets can handle. I really hope the best for BISD, whatever process necessary

It's hump day, again. Mark Knopfler make it look easy. Thanks Westend [Hidden Content]

I am not black so I don't know what it's like to be black. I am neither American Indian, Jewish, Muslim, a war veteran, gay, a sexual assault victim, a cancer patient, etc. the list goes on. So what's your point? Must everyone has there own personal stories or challenges.

There's not a government funded program out there that couldn't absorb budget cuts with little to no affect to the program.

BG - I sometimes admire your tenacity in debates but your race opinion in this one is disappointing.

Huge respect for Cuban and Smith. Heck, how about a Cuban Smith ticket? I'd vote for them.

The recent pattern is to follow the elderly home, bust in, beat them, then rob them.

I believe in support for the needy but not welfare abuse. It's too easy. I think a fare request would be to randomly drug test recipients. I don't understand those that oppose such a requirement. JMO

You do know the American Indians are receiving monthly retribution checks every month, right?

There's a difference between a home invasion and breaking and entering. Punks these days are coming through the front door and beating the crap out of the elderly. 20 years minimum

Here's a topic most may agree on, home invasions. Enough is enough when yon you can't sit safely in your own home. There needs to be a mandatory minimum 20 years without parole. The sentence should increase significantly if elderly or children are involved. the same could be said about car jackings This isn't intended to start a home protection debate either but I'm sure it will anyway.

I like listening to Roger's messages. As I've stated before, I do not question the bible's truth or accuracy. I do however realize that man and denominational interpretations in some cases can differ. This can cause some to mistakenly question the accuracy of the bible.
