1. LCM defense has been correctly questioned for giving up points, plays and yardage but the defense has also scored a lot of points. This could be the difference.
2. I'm a huge Matt Hughes fan and would love to see him beat Penn. A lot will come in to play though. I agree he's not getting any younger but looked really good in his last fight. Penn has not look impressive  in his last two fights but it will depend on how serious he is in his preperation. Will Hughes stay at his weight or will he drop weight?
3. For a team that struggles on defense they sure score often.
4. Mir has to win or go three straight losses. Looks like there could be some other decent fights. Has to be better than 118
5.

first to the young kids that played there hearts out (WE AS WO-S FOOTBALL FANS ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU). this game is history so dont look back at it, LOOK FORWARD and keep your heads up becouse you still have some very good teams ahead of you to play, just keep up the good work and it will (PAY OFF) in the end.now  to the coaching staff at WO-S , super job  now you got your work cut out for you DONT LET YOUR KIDS LOOK BACK .
Ditto and the same to FW. Do not hang your heads because of how you played, WOS is a very good team and a good game to get ready for LaMarque, Dawson and Manvel.
FW; Ask LaMarque about WOS. There's some history there.
6. Getting, or almost getting beat by WOS is not an embarrassment no matter your size or ranking. WOS is a topnotch team almost every year. They would’ve probably been ranked higher this year if it weren’t for last year’s performance. There’s a remote possibility they could be a rare team to move up in the rankings after a loss.
7.
I guess I missed the posts that this post were meant for. I have never really been a part of discussion on here that I thought was even close to racist. I am sure I just missed it. This poat sure did one thing, put attention on it. I have no problem with it, but many times when you put attention on something it gets worse instead of better. Some of the comments on here are true and I am in because I never have or never will post anything to do with race on here. Still not sure it needed to be a post, but maybe so. I am in. Child of the King where no color is seen, so it doesn't matter!
I agree with your mindset but you obviously have not been on certain Locker Room topics.
8. No problem, but we may end up with much shorter threads on some topics. So what's the rules, are yankees and Louisianians fair game?
9. I'm not a Bulldog but; Didn't WOS beat Nederland soundly last year? Didn't Nederland lose their #1 QB last year in week one? Didn't Nederland make the playoffs last year? Be patient
10. I agree. Tooney wasn't even close to ready, especially for Couture. Should've started off with an easier opponent. I really expected more from Penn. While Edgar did dominate, these two went five rounds in a title fight and you couldn't tell it by looking at either of them when it was over. I still like most rematches though, just not back to back in most cases. Snoozer. I expected more.
11.

so 350 yards is an ugly game huh??? ::)
Absolutely.  GCM made LCM look like Lake Travis.
The same Lake Travis that LCM lost to 46-45 in the state 7 on 7 championship bracket.  ;)
12.
I ashamed in myself. But I don't even know what sport this is. The term Batsmen makes me think maybe Cricket
you're not alone
13. Check out my posts on the other thread. I never disagreed or questioned Silva's win or him as a champion. Just as my past post states, I doubt his #1 PFP status. At this moment I don't consider him best on the planet. Iole never made that claim or I would have disagreed. He just deffended Silva's champion status and I agree with both of you on that. I still say he'll get beat soon if he doesn't step it up. I guess that's what ticks me off. We all know how good he can be but I haven't seen the fire in him since the Forrest fight.
14. I have to also agree with Iole's veiw. Anderson is still a great fighter and champion. BUT, he needs to correct something, something must improve, wheather it's in his preperation, mental game or maybe just the sore ribs he claimed. Repeated performances like that will cost him a win in the near future.
15. BB25 had a good point. It may take quite a while for that gash over sonnen's eye to heal.
16.
Silva won. Get over it. He's the champ. 12-0 in UFC. That's why they go 5 rounds not 4. If Sonnen was BETTER than Silva, he would have finished him. All he did was smother him and get in some good strikes. Did you see Sonnen's face? While Sonnen was on top, Silva was getting in some good shots but you don't see it alot or hear it from those 2 idiots they have doing play by play and color commentary. That's like saying, well the Dallas Cowboys led for 3.5 quarters and lost on a late field by the Redskins to lose the game, but Dallas still won tho.
No one here disputed his victory or his championship status. Is he the champion and does he deserve it, yes. Best fighter on the planet, I don't think so, not from what I saw. Best
17. I'd like to see a rematch but really don't have an opinion who should be next. Once, Silva planned to go after others by moving up a division to prove he's the best in the world. Last week he said he was staying in his division for good and if anyone from another division wanted to fight him they would have to come to his division. This week he'll fight who UFC wants him to. Not reel consistant or in a hurry to go after other top fighters.
18. Let compare apples to apples. Footballs a team sport with a lot of people to fault and praise. Fighting is one on one. Unlike football, when you fight once, twice a year, that one bad fight means something, especially if you’re claiming to be the best PFP fighter on the planet. I won’t argue the rematch outcome. But let’s not forget the Machida Shogun rematch. Silva has gotten complacent and taken his opponents for granted. He may very well come back with a vengeance. I have a hard time excusing one bad fight especially when he has been criticized for his past efforts. It really looked like he came out at the beginning of each round ready to attack and was put back on his heels with not much to challenge back. Sonnen shut down his game. Still the deserving champion though.
19. I don't disagree with his championship status. It's the #1 PFP status that I disagree with. GSP got rocked and the loss was a wake up call for him and no one has come close again. Lesner got rocked for one round and came back the second round. I'm sure it was a wake up call for him. Silva was dominated. The best fighter in the world can't spend four and a half rounds on his back waiting on the right opportunity to present itself two minutes before the fight ends. It either messed with confidence or woke him up. We'll see his next fight, he may come back better than ever. Then I'll change my mind.
20. I hear what you're saying and all great fighters get rocked and tested but the absolute best do not get totally dominated for four and a half rounds. Now, Silva was tested and maybe this was a wake up call that told him he is not untouchable and maybe he'll know he has to train even harder and not take his opponents too lightly. I think he had grown complacent. Way to go Hughes! I love his future plans, take of the Fall and do some hunting, spend time with his family. Sheilds would be good fight.
21. It was a great night of fighting. Silva showed why he is the champion but IMO lost the PFP claim. He spent four and a half rounds on his back being totally dominated. He had no answer for four and half rounds. Not only that, Sonnen ran his mouth like no one has before and then came out and backed it up. Also IMO with all Sonnen's smack talk and the past critisism Silva should have had something to prove. Champion, yes. PFP, no. JMO Now, if his claim of hurt ribs is true, that is something to concider. The other fights were great too.
22.
You will see in about 3 weeks... Several big Sophomores and Juniors
Good to hear. WOS always has athletes but seldom have the size needed on the line. JMO
23. Tipical Hooks interview. He knows how tough the schedule is and he did it for a reason
